It was the end of March, and three months had passed since Christmas. There had been some growth with most of his girlfriends, though Tonks was still firmly stuck at Closeness 100%. Draco had not stopped trying to get closer to her, so he guessed that the age difference between them was a challenging thing that bothered her subconciously. Either that or she was under a certain misconception.
He started thinking that he may need to try clearing that up with her later. Priority number one was the news he had received the previous day. Sirius had let him know via a letter to Holly that he and Remus Lupin had finally found out where that Gaunt family used to live. Since neither of them had power within the Ministry, and since Draco did not want to go through Dumbledore for help, it had taken them this much time to dig up the answer discretely
Knowing this, he dressed for the day and then called out Olympia. When she appeared from his Familiar Tattoo, Draco smiled "To the entry for the Black House, please" he requested..
He learned to be more specific after what had happened during Christmas last year, so they soon appeared in the entry room without incident, with Remus and Sirius waiting for him to arrive.
"Thanks again for helping me to find this location where we are going. remember to stay back when we get there." Draco reminded them.
"Is it really alright to approach it alone?" Lupin asked Draco with concern.
"for me it's not an issue." Draco looked at Lupin and sighed "I suppose I should clarify just what the trap is a bit. It's a terrible curse, very deadly, yes, but it's activation condition is tied to the rings original magic. The Gaunt family ring has another name. The resurrection stone. Those that approach it while it's power is active will witness specters of those they have known who have died, and when they do, the curse will attack and try to kill them. The more specters you see, the greater the power of the curse. This is a curse Albus Dumbledore barely survived, and it sill horribly maimed him. I've not known anyone who has died before, so I can bypass the curse and deal with it completely."
"Surely Voldemort would have taken measures to prevent a kid like you from stubling upon it" Lupin pointed out.
Draco shook his head "The only defense against that is a magic that repels those who do not have sufficient magical strength. This would keep most young witches and wizards away, but not me. The potency of my magic exceeds that of most adults. I am a unique individual, you could almost say that I was born to specifically render this trap useless. There was no way Voldemort could predict someone like me."
Lupin sighed in defeat. He still didn't like Draco doing this alone, but if draco was right about the trap, then it was a truly terrible one "Very well." he relented.
------
Arriving near the Gaunt House, Draco looked at Sirius and remus "Thanks for bringing me here, but leave the rest to me." he turned towards the ruined house and walked into it. He could already sense the Sinister magic of a horcrux, and followed his senses to it's location, finding the ring in a hollow opening in a tree in the backyard.
Draco may not have any reason to fear the ranged affect of the horcrux, but he knew not to touch it either, as there may be additional effects that he did not know about. It was better to exercise caution.
As such, Draco levitated a vial containing three of Olympia's tears, into the tree hollow, and carefully poured them onto the ring, causing the Horcrux to loudly screach in agony and then die.
Draco then reached into the hollow of the tree and retreived the now purified ring from it and deposited it into his storage before returning to Sirius and Remus "It's done. I'd like to thank you both for helping me to find this place. We are now one step closer to defeating him."
Remus was relieved that Draco returned in one piece "It seems that you knew what you were doing. I apoligize for doubting you."
Draco chuckled "Oh, it's fine. And the two of you are part of a historical moment, something you'll be able to boast about one day. Obviously we can't tell people about it until we deal with ALL of the Horcruxes fir..." he suddenly froze up "I'm sorry, something just came up. I have to go!." he looked at his Yang Bracelet with worry "Olympia."
At the call of her name, Olympia emerged from his Familiar Tattoo 'What is bothering you, Draco?' Olympia asked him telepathically.
"We need to get to Luna's place, immediately!" Draco called out desperately.
'Understood' The Pheonix answered telepathically, then flew up and grasped Draco's shoulders with her talons, and then they both disaapeared in a burst of fire.
------
The Lovegood House looked like a bomb had gone off inside of it, with the only two people that could be seen being Luna, who was crying and seeming desperate, and the woman she was crying out too, her mother, who was a bloody mess on the floor.
An experiment had gone awry, and claimed Pandora Lovegood's life, and just like in the books, Luna had, to her horror, witnesed it happen right in front of her, and she was justifiably an emotional wreck, begging her mother to 'wake up.'
This was the situation Draco and Olympia arrived too in a burst of fire. Draco rused over to comfort Luna and hugged her "Shhhh, it'll be alright. I'll save her. Do you believe in me?"
Hearing Drco's words filled her with hope "If you say you can do it. I know you can" Luna declared, her love level starting to slowly rise. He held Luna until it reached one hundred, then he kised her forehead and let go of her to face the body of Pandora Lovegood, and gently touched her ruined right arm "Seraphim's Grace"
What he was doing was reviving someone that had died, so the brilliant golden light that appeared when he used this ability to only heal became even more brilliant and even more vast and out-reaching, to the point where both Draco and Luna had to shut tight there eyes, and were still temporarilly blinded afterwards.
Luna instinctively held on to Draco since she couldn't see anything, and Draco held on to Luna and comforted her. When finally their vision started coming back and they could look at Pandora Lovegood, her body was fully restored and without injury, and she appeared to be sleeping peacefully.
As soon as Luna recognized that her mothers life was saved, Draco got the notification that Luna had risen to Soulmate level affection, having risen from 80% love to that in a very short period of time.
Luna held on to Draco and cried, though this time they were tears of happiness.
------
Naturally, Luna stayed with her parents for a few days in the aftermath of seeing her mother die in front of her. Yes, Draco resurrected her in the end, but she was still in shock, and her parents wanted to help her with it.
Of course, only Draco and Luna knew that Pandora had died and that Draco resurrected her. Luna's parents just thought that Pandora had been badly injured. Draco and Luna had agreed not to tell her parents about his resurrection feat.
When Draco told the other girls about what happened (except for Tonks who was at Hogwarts) they all wanted do something nice to comfort Luna, and as they worked together on the planning, Hermione's love increased by two percent, which had not happened since she had entered the love range.
This was a pretty extreme situation, though, so Draco could understand it.
Luna still hadn't fully recovered from her ordeal when she was finally allowed to come meet her friends again, but she still managed to enjoy herself a bit with the party that they had thrown to cheer her up.
The whole situation had another benefit as well, as it brought all the girls in the group that were present closer to each other.
