Chapter 7: Gringotts

As the boy that came and rescued her from the Dusley's, Draco was someone that Holly found herself experiencing her first crush towards, though she had complicated feelings towards the situation after meeting all his girlfriends. They all seemed nice, and she had no specific complaints about any of them, but she'd gotten the impression that they all admired Draco the same way that she did.

One even went as far as declaring her intent to be part of his harem, and Holly did not believe that she was lying. Astoria truly believed her words. Holly was a bit nervous to be alone with Draco the next day. She did not believe that he would harm her, it was merely a bit of embarrassment on her part.

The House Elf that came to help her had been keeping her clothes clean, but she knew she'd need more, but how was she supposed to ask for that? Draco had already done so much for her, after all, and it would be weird to ask him to take her shopping for clothes, including underwear! The thought brought a flush to her cheeks, and he wasn't even there yet!

She could only take deep breaths and try to compose herself. Fortunately, she had done so before her fireplace came alive with th arrival of Draco via the floo network. Holly was momentarilly shocked when he suddenly hugged her and kissed her cheek, before releasing her and smiling "Good morning, Holly" he greeted her.

"G...good morning" Holly told him, trying to recover from her flustered state again "What are we doing today?" he'd said he was coming over, but not what they were planning.

"First things first, I'll take you to Gringott's, the Wizarding Bank. You'll need money to get things you need." Draco insisted "That's already sorted out, you just need to appear wiith me and get the money. After that, I'll show you around some of the businesses here in Diagon Alley."

"Can I get a wand?" Holly asked with curiosity.

"Unfortunately Ollivanders wont sell you one since you are not 11 yet" Draco told her.

"Can I use magic without a wand like you?" Holly asked him next.

"It's possible to cast some spells wandlessly, but that requires immense skill, and that's not what I do. I made my own wand and bound it to my soul through a secret process, so it is always with me." Draco explained to Holly "You could say that I am a genius among genius's. The things I can do well exceed what is normal. Even if you had a wand, it probably wouldn't work for you until around 10 or 11. I am a freak who was able to cast magic at five, which is previously unheard of."

Inside, Holly was relieved that it seemed like Draco had thought things through, but also embarrassed to be relying on him so much.

Draco, however, lost nothing from helping her and gained a cute girlfriend down the road, so it was purely a win for him.

"Come on" Draco grasped Holly's hand and proceeded to lead her downstairs and out of the building. He let go of her hand to let her lock up with the key that he'd given her "Good" Draco grasped her hand again and pulled her along towards Gringotts.

The building where Holly was staying wasn't too far from Gringotts, and with its size, it was an impressive landmark, so they soon reached a white building that towered over the other little shops without issue, passing by other shops for now.

As they approached the building there was a set of white stairs that led up to a set of bronze doors. The doors are flanked by a goblin in a uniform of scarlet and gold,

Draco nodded in acknowledgement before leading Holly through the doors, they entered a small entrance hall, where they found a second set of doors. Engraved on these silver doors are the words:

Enter, stranger, but take heed

Of what awaits the sin of greed

For those who take, but do not earn,

Must pay most dearly in their turn.

So if you seek beneath our floors

A treasure that was never yours,

Thief, you have been warned, beware

Of finding more than treasure there.

Holly, of course, was amazed, first by the goblins, and now by the doors. Draco grinned and gave her a bit to read through the whole inscription "It is an amazing place, I know." he chuckled.

With how much marvel he saw in her eyes, she seemed very adorable. When she looked away from the door, Draco lightly squeezed her hand and proceeded to push open the doors and led her inside, where goblins were working dilligently all around them.

Draco led Holly to a counter where a Goblin from the books he'd read, named Griphook, was working. "Miss Holly Potter wishes to make a withdrawal."

Griphook rose to his feet to examine Holly carefully "Does Miss Holly Potter have a key?"

Draco pulled out a piece of parchment from his inventory and slid it across to Griphook, before drawing his attention to a certain spot "I am Draco Malfoy. As the manager of vault 711 and Vault 162, I'd like a key to be issued for vault 162 to her."

The document, of course, showed that Sirius Black was her godfather. The Black Family vault was 711, but when Draco started managing their properties, he opened Vault 162 for rent to be paid into for those properties. He still couldn't touch the money himself without Sirius Black's okay, but as Holly was an Orphan, and the god daughter of Sirius Black, she could "I'd like to authorize her to make a one time withdrawal of 200 galleons today, and hereafter she'd have a monthly allowance of 30 galleons. Once she starts attending Hogwarts, another 200 galleons per year for supples, on top of the monthly 30 Galleons"

"Everything seems to be in order." Griphook answered and passed the document back to Draco, who stashed it in his inventory.

"Thank you, Griphook." Draco answered politely. In his previous encounters with the goblins, Draco had always treated them with respect, but he had o idea how they truly felt about him. He just knew that it was better to be their friend then their enemy. Over time, he hoped that he could impress them.

Technically, Draco planned to provide Holly with most of her books since he already had them and would be getting them again through his parents, so she wouldn't need remotely close to that much money for supplies, but since he was spending someone elses' money it was easy to be generous.

Holly, even though she did not fully understand what this money was worth, understood that it was probably a lot, so there was a somewhat reverent gleam in her eyes as she looked at Draco.
