The domestic life of Lydia and Liyah
I opened the door to my dorm and walked inside, taking off my boots. All of the decorations Liyah and I bought were all put away. Liyah must've put it all all away already. I walked over to the door of my room and opened it and witnessed liyah making my bed with all the throw pillows and the comforter. The rest of the room made my jaw dropped, the shelf was put together and pin board was mounted on the wall. She hung the painting, placed the frames, and plugged in the lamps. "Ly ly, you already came back." she blurted out surprise. "Yeah, this looks really good liyah. Thank you." I complimented. "Your welcome" Liyah announced proudly. I helped her a bit with moving the trash and we ended up slouching on the couch. We turned on the TV in the living room and started to watch some netflix. "Have you watched Haikyuu" I asked Liyah. "Nope, what's that" she wondered. I mocked disgust, "we can't be friends." She laughed when she saw my spiteful glare. Huffing I stole the remote control and went to the search page. "We're watching it right now, no ifs or buts" I demanded and clicked on the first episode of Haikyuu. In the end we finished all the seasons that day. After we finished watching I looked at time to see it already at 7 pm. "Wow, time flies" I said showing liyah my phone. Her eye widened, "yeah." she agreed. "I'll make some dinner then, anything you want?" I asked liyah. "Let's make some chicken alfredo, we bought all the ingredients. I'll also help" Liyah insisted standing up. She then turned around and also pulled me up. I nodded and we started to get to work preparing dinner.
After finishing making the pasta we put everything on plates, that Liyah brought from home, and started to eat. "I'm happy we can both cook, I thought that I would be burdened with cooking duty" she breathed. "Haha, I'm also happy I got a good roommate" I declared. looking at each other, we started to laugh. It was kind of weird how close we got in such a short amount of time, but Liyah just clicked with me. After finishing our food we washed our dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. "I'll retire in my room for now, see you tomorrow" I said walking into my room. "Okay good night" she called out walking into her room as well. I walked into my room and the time was 9:30. pm. turning, I entered my bathroom and washed up. After taking a quick shower I applied a bit of lotion and changed into some night garments. I dried my hair and grabbed my phone from my bag. I set an alarm for 7 am and then put it to charge. Finally I laid back down and decided to call it a day.
A blaring alarm woke me up, stretching my arm to turn it off and sat up. Yawning I rubbed my eyes, today it would be healthier for me to wake up on my own so I decided not to use my mana. This is because even if I manifested my mana to make me less tired, I would just feel that effect. My body would still be in it's drowsy state. So it's better for me if I get up naturally so I don't harm my body in any way. I pushed the blanket with my feet and climbed out of bed. I walked over to the bathroom and washed my face, then went over to my closet. Looking though it for a bit I pulled out yoga pants and a long sleeve running shirt. I usually go running in the morning to train my stamina. After grabbing an apple I took my phone and left a note on the counter just in case Liyah wakes up before I come back. I started to walk outside, but I stopped when an idea came to my head. Walking back to the note I left on the counter, I wrote my number as well. "She'll now be able to contact me" I mumble and strode back out the door. I went back down to the lobby and walked out into the chilly outside. For now I'll just start to explore around. With that thought I started to run along a path that led to the shared courtyard.
the campus had a pecaful arua in the morning. There wasn't that many people out, and the people who were outside were all quiet. I got to the middle of the courtyard that had a fountain and decided to grab a quick break. taking out my phone and saw it was 7:30. I should get going now. There was path the was labeled as leading to mage academy, I decided to run on it. As I followed the path my eyes lit up when it led through the forest. I kept running through the forest and felt the wind flow through my hair. The natural smell eased my state of mind. After 10 minutes into the forest there was a bench that sat at a turn. I used this chance to take another quick break. Catching my breath, I tried to relax.
"clack! clack!"
freezing at the sudden sounds, I turned my head to see if I could see where the sounds were coming from. I closed my eyes to try and sense the origin of the sound. After finding the person I stood up and faced it keeping my eyes closed. The person who seemed to have a female's physique and was swinging anything. Unfortunately I couldn't see what she was swinging because the item didn't have any mana infused in it, but I could tell she wasn't swinging at anything that is or was alive because there wasn't any other mana but the girls. the sound also sounded like something being hit against wood, which has a high availability in the first. It doesn't look like she's doing anything bad, I should just leave quietly. I slowly levitated myself and floated the rest of the way through the forest path.
After I landed in front of the mage academy I went back to the dorm. With rehearsals in 2 hours it would be best to go back to the dorms. I decided to fly back to have more time to relax. Nodding I started to levitate over to dorm building B. I touch downed on the path that led to the building and entered it. I ran over to the elevators and entered one. "ding" my phone rang and I opened it. I chuckled as a text from liyah apeared. She used a bunch of emojis and now is starting to spam me with stickers. I got out the elevators and walked to the door and opened it. Walking in I feigned annoyance, "I think I made a mistake."
"Hahaha, there's no taking back your number now." The culprit of sticker spamming sat at the kitchen counter with a sly smile. She then made a questioning glance at my attire, "did you go running?" Nodding I walked into my room, "I'm going to take a shower now." I opened my closet again and pulled out black pants and a grey button up shirt. Laying it out on my bed I approved of the outfit and walked into my bathroom and washed up. Once I finished, I decided to go with a bare face and hair down for today. I changed into my outfit and dried my hair. Walking out to the living room, Liyah was sitting with eggs prepared for the both of us. "Thank you, Liyah," I said digging in. "yep no problem," she put her phone down and started to eat as well. Once we finished talking and eating It was about time to head out for rehearsals. We both grabbed our stuff and walked out of the dorm and to the auditorium.
