Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Soul vs Opal
It's a beautiful day outside, the wind is blowing around the arena, as two kids, and their Pokemons are locking into each other.
To one side with Noibat is our main protagonist, Soul, while the other side there was a person with a Squirtle, who is his final opponent, Opal. As soon as they heard the signal they started their attacks.
Opal: Squirtle uses Water Gun.
A wave of water was sprayed from Squirtle mouth heading towards Noibat.
Soul: Counter it with Gust.
Noibat begins to flap its wings, creating a wave of gust, sending it against Squirtle Water Gun.
Both of the moves collide with each other, creating a wave of water smoke, surrounding the arena. Making it hard for both parties to see anything.
Opal: Squirtle, keep your guards up, and use Water Gun or Tackle if the opponent is close.
Squirtle made a little sound as if it understands that, but it was a bad move since Noibat is a Pokemon that could move around in the dark area with the help of its hearing and ultrasonic wave.
Soul: Noibat follows the source of the sound of Squirtle and uses Dragon Rush.
Noibat did what Soul says and cover itself with dragon energy, creating a blue dragon of flame, flying towards Squirtle at a face pace.
Seeing this, made Opal panicked a little. But she calmed quickly down and gave Squirtle a command.
Opal: Squirtle quick, use Aqua Jet and counter it.
Squirtle did what she said and cover itself with water and went flying towards Noibat. Both attacks collide and the outcome of it was obviously with Noibat was the stronger one and directly hit Squirtle on the stomach.
Getting hit by Dragon Rush, Squirtle got sent fly away as another smoke was created, and after while dust surrounds the arena begins to disappear and Squirtle fainted.
Judge: The winner of this battle is Soul Winterflame!
Announcer: Amazing! Soul's and his Noibat finished the battle with a powerful Dragon Rush against Opal's Squirtle!
Crowds begin to cheers for Soul's name as Opal returned Squirtle to its Pokeball. He did the same with Noibat and walked to her and says.
Soul: This is only the beginning, I will be waiting for you at the Pokemon League in Kanto.
She replied with a monotone voice, but you could hear a bit of excitement in her voice.
Opal: You're my first lost, probably won't be the last, but I will defeat you next time in the League.
Soul: As I said before, I'll be waiting.
They both nodded to each other and walked back to the lobby with Opal went out of it and Soul stayed and waited for the award ceremony.
He thought about this trip he decides to went to. All the new things he saw, the shopping trips, meeting new friends and he actually got two rivals.
They were both girls… hmm, who's cares about that? He'll just hope that both of them will become strong when they fight again in the League.
After waiting for a while the announcer begins to speak from the speakers.
Announcer: Let's welcome the winner of this tournament, Soul Winterflame!
Hearing this, he walked out of the lobby into the arena, where peoples cheered at him and calling his name.
When he walked there, he saw the judge and old man, Tim Streak with a person beside him, who was actually the person he met in the mall.
Surprised by this, he'll just walk to them, as the judge begins to give him a few congrats.
Tim: Congrats, kid. But remember this is just the beginning, if you want to reach the top, you'll train even harder than before.
Soul nodded at this and replied with.
Soul: I know, the only thing I don't know is what the future holds for me.
Looking curiously at the mysterious man, who holds the rewards he finally came to a conclusion and was a bit shocked and embarrassed that he didn't found out about him when they first met.
Soul: The same goes for all we aren't it, sir Lance?
The mysterious person who was Lance was surprised by this as the judge begin to laugh at him.
Tim: Looks like you have been exposed earlier than planned, Lance.
Lance: Yes it's seems so, how's sad.
Lance then took off his disguise, revealing the usual elite-four outfits that he wore. The whole crowd fell silents.
A moment later, the cheering begins to get higher as they begin to call his name. Good thing that they did that.
Lance took a microphone as he begins to speaks.
Lance: *Ahem* test, test. Hello everyone! I am Lance from the elite-four. Today I will be awarding the rewards to the winner of this tournament, Soul Winterflame!
The crowds keep cheering on as someone gave Lance a silver trophy with a Pokeball on top and a pack of the rewards.
Lance: First of all, I would like to congrats all the persons who joined this tournament. Don't feel bad that you have lost against one other. Use this as an experience to become a better trainer in the future!
He turned to Soul and smiled.
Lance: Soul Winterflame from Pallet Town, I would like to present you the trophy and the rewards.
Lance then gave both trophy and rewards to Soul as the tournament ended with Soul as the clear winner.
From there, he got the title as 'The little champion.'
