Vayve finally could see a land belonging to Teacher Wiatrs.
Just like Miss Hana has her own dark forest with the poisonous monsters roaming around, so Teacher Wiatrs has his own tall buildings. There were a lot of students already trying to learn more of that wind magic here.
This place was the best place to train and research a wind magic!
"It's hard to keep up a raw magic in the air, but the experienced mages can keep themselves in the air for a considerable amount of time. A wind magic makes thing easier for us and so it became required to learn to at least float a little."
Teacher Wiatrs explained, then Vayve focused on the students doing their best to reach at least that level.
They could still fall off safely from the tall buildings due to the magic formations being all over there. It was looking quite costly, and this was actually the first thought of Vayve.
Was it because of his magic system?
Perhaps so!
"Welcome back, teacher. I would like to request another visit in the tallest tower."
"Haa... You have gotten enough wind resources! Don't tell me you have already used all of these?"
"Please."
The explanation stopped when both teacher and Vayve reached a special place. There was already a lady around sixteen years old waiting for the teacher. She spoke instantly as he landed and ignored Vayve who seemed to be a new face.
The tallest tower had something akin tornado up above.
It was hard to float here and even magic formations could be penetrated through by the wind slashes. The tornado was more special than this place for sure. The ones who can withstand a lot of time here can be given the more resources to practice their wind magic.
Whether it is ink, paper or staff.
Everything is related to wind magic and so it's a very nice to reap those rewards.
Her name is Lulu!
She was the best student who was basically winning every event in her class. Along with a good grades, Lulu had a lot of resources, but those resources seemed to be already used! Vayve himself was surprised, but just stood silent.
He is new here, and she is probably a person who Teacher Wiatrs wants him to fight with.
"Lulu, you are older, but Vayve is a strong and promising mage. His battle style is unique, so you are going to fight him for another portion of the experience! If you win, you will get a pass to the tallest tower."
"Okay."
Lulu nodded, then turned her eyes to Vayve who was surely the person her teacher was speaking about. He was younger and it was obvious from an appearance alone... A little shorter and more innocent than Lulu whose body already was showing off her bright future in terms of a beauty itself.
Her silver hair fluttered and flowed along the wind as she was the one to lead both 'men' to the arena.
This was closed arena where wind mages were sparing.
It could be activated to form something akin to tornadoes or simply a windy atmosphere. The ones who can grasp the flow of a wind first were usually the winners then.
Everything was off for the battle between wind and money mage.
"I am Vayve, nice to meet you. This is going to be a valuable experience for both of us."
Vayve felt like she is just a battle maniac like Yuna which was wrong. He spoke the words that would please most battle maniacs, but Lulu could her a respect and just pure wish to grow, so it pleased her nonetheless.
"My name is Lulu, Let's have a nice fight then."
It was a respect she was recently lacking due to her getting the most of her class.
Many students were jealous and angry at her instead. But if they had the same talent and power, then they surely would also become a haughty and full of themselves magician! Lulu was just focused on a wind magic, however!
"You can begin!"
As the voice of teacher reverberated, Lulu and Vayve let out their common attacks. Her small hand held a silver small staff. As if conductor, Lulu waved her hand few times and a lot wind slashes in a pure magic form flew towards Vayve.
Basically, mages would let out either magic bolt or something related to their research.
Lulu had done a lot of wind slashes in a short time!
In order to deal with it, Vayve had summoned a few common magic walls while swinging his arm to let out a coin toss. A coin toss was sent a few times due to fast reload which was possible thanks to his Black Titan Gloves.
It had stopped Lulu's attack, but her body was already floating up above.
She was growing closer with her wind magic during a battle and continuous wind slashes were getting that sharpness.
The battle was as if typical battle between the mages.
They were throwing spells at each other and sustaining up their bodies with a magic formations around. The key to win that was to not waste any magic scrolls when it came to the defense! Vayve had to read her magic bolts, but then, Lulu went for a huge AOE attack which enveloped his whole body.
"Zephyr's Stranglehold."
Vayve felt his clothes being cut, but not as much as expected. His defenses weren't that weak, whether physical and magic. The magic formations around him were perfectly laid out which elicited a praise from Teacher Wiatrs.
Before that, he also let out a praise.
It was because Vayve had secretly used a poison magic scroll. It has been put silently below floating Lulu and its poison was not so visible. Its poison magic particles weren't even seen by Lulu!
A coin had a small magic scroll stuck to it.
And as it was gathering more and more poison, Lulu finally could see its effects! Her mind shook and her vision slightly faltered. It was clear that Lulu's defense were at the lowest, so Vayve utilized his glows that were using a gravity.
He began pulling the lady from the air.
"Ah! W-what is this?!"
She felt as if a big invisible hand was holding her whole body, pulling it down in an utmost raw strength. The lady barely could stop this feeling and when she actually managed to get rid of it by involving more of her magic, Vayve came closer and used struck her pretty face with a coin toss!
Then, his hand also hit her stomach, but at this rate, Lulu already lost.
She didn't lose without paying back though.
A powerful windlash slashed through Vayve's shoulder which finally cut his clothes and dug a little in his skin.
"!"
"I knew you would come closer, but... a poison is a new..."
"I see."
Lulu fell onto her knees, then grasped her stomach which hurt really bad. Her eyes weren't really dejected though as there was a lot of dripping blood coming from Vayve and it was easily seen by her.
A poison is something she has yet to properly study.
It was hard to notice that poison, so Vayve surely used something valuable out from his inventory!
"Haha, both of you used a lot of valuable items~~ I guess this is Vayve's win! Haha!"
"Why... are you so happy, teacher?"
"No particular reason!"
A lot of confident students lost their lives in the man-made dungeon! Such was a reason for Teacher Wiatrs' happy mood. His student will finally focus more on studying other magics... or so he thought!
