Chapter 23: A killing intent seed moves

"What is my grade?"

"For what?"

"For the cleaning."

"..."

Vayve was in an academy, so there should be some grades, right? He was hoping to learn something, but if he didn't get any grades, then who knows what might happen a month later. For now, he decided to ask about his grade for the cleaning which was his only activity.

Unluckily enough, this woman was all on her poison studies, so nothing new had entered Vayve's head. In fact, he was describing a magic scrolls by himself and even got better on it! He felt like his magic scrolls are stronger even if the rank stays the same.

'I can't continue like that. There is no growth and as Bibur is here, he is surely working to raise up his abilities.'

That's why, Vayve decided to venture to the forest.

Before that, he stole one of the hard books from Teacher Hana's library. Vayve was cleaning a lot, so he had clear image of her study room. Every book's cover was remembered by Vayve, so he knew what he has to take.

He took the book quickly without anyone noticing it up.

Then, his body headed to that dark forest.

The resources weren't Vayve's problem as he had enough of these from his mother. Within his hand, Vayve held a crystal which was polished up nicely, so that it was without any sharp edges. The crystal was an accumulation of the magic.

Vayve wasn't really knowledgeable about these, but the kingdom's royal family was the one to distribute these crystals.

It was a common pay for the mages for their work and research.

"Poison Magic Bolt? Haa, that is not something I should be practising."

The magic bolt coming from a staff is the common ability and first explained ability in the book. It would be great for those who aim for that kind of power, but Vayve had his money magic system, so he wasn't really keen on learning that.

But before he gave up on that, Vayve looked deeply at the written magic letters, then chanted it inwardly.

If his coin could explode or deal some poison damage, then it would be worth to learn everything.

Vayve tossed a coin, then repeated the process ten times. The coin did damage and that's all... The effects of the poison weren't seen at all, so Vayve truly gave up on the poison for now. It would be too strong for his coins to adapt to every kind of magic.

And it would make no sense!

Though it was a worth trying it.

He is a future MC, so everything should be checked. No one knows what might pop off on his path towards the great strength!

Of course, the book was a beginner's book for a poison mage system. There were more techniques, so Vayve just decided to take a level 1 defensive magic scroll with a poison as an additional effect. What makes it different from a normal defensive magic scroll is that poison, but it means that the scroll is going to split up a magic to two different things.

"It's all about usage."

Not a size.

"A green ink... So in order to learn that, I need a green ink... Fuck this!"

Why was he sent here? It was because Vayve decided to not bother with other people, but remembering his status, it might've been a perfect road for him. Everyone would hate him as his late appearance would change the whole class.

And so the battles would end up on the daily basis.

In the meantime, he would learn a common techniques that could work with that money magic system, but no!

He is here, cleaning a random's woman house everyday!

"!"

However, in the midst of the dark nature, Vayve suddenly heard something. It was as if something was moving, but as his eyes went around, Vayve truly couldn't spot anything strange... Of course, someone might be hiding, so Vayve moved forward as silently as he could.

'Was there such flower?'

And after a few steps, Vayve spotted a green flower whose appearance was not familiar. On his way here, he should remember it as it was a very big and rather beautiful flower! And it was a light green, so in a dark environment, such flower was standing out.

Yet he had no thoughts about it at all.

"What?!"

That's why, Vayve decided to move in the opposite direction.

His body was set on retreating yet not even a step could be taken as Vayve got grabbed by something below. The trembling eyes went below only to see that green vine coiled around his ankle.

It was so strong yet barely felt.

Gggggggggg!

The moment Vayve noticed up that he got caught, the green flower became like a monster. It widened, becoming a mouth, then its whole appearance also bulged up and down. All ready to devour, the green flower sent a killing intent towards Vayve's direction!

Coin Toss!

The stronger coin toss than usual! It swept through an air with a strong force going through that green flower like a bullet. But it was not enough to stop the flower as its whole 'big mouth' began opening up while coming closer.

Vayve actually had to find a source for this flower's existence.

It was somewhere in the forest, but he was unaware of it. Instead, his aim was to destroy that big mouth's 'neck', but it was so thin that a perfect accuracy was needed.

However, Vayve was getting stronger each day and a spar with Yuna had allowed his eyes to get better!

That's why, after a few coin tosses, Vayve managed to deal with the green flower before it reach him.

Gggggggggggg!

Because the source was still here, Vayve quickly got greeted by more green flowers. They were moving throughout the forest and slowly surrounding him closing up any paths of retreat at astonishing pace!

"I won't die here, damnit."

Soaked in their killing intent, Vayve began a struggle that every MC had to face! This very struggle told him how valuable he is for a joint attacks. The coins were flying around, but Vayve's small hands weren't enough to give him a victory.

He was also not knowledgeable about his opponent.

Nevertheless, Vayve managed to escape.

Furthermore, his killing intent seed moved within that body of his which was something Vayve had yet to notice.
