Chapter 16: A killing intent seed
They were the fools, but even a fool can throw a stone!
Wasn't it a belief he follows deeply? The bandit boss laughed out loudly as he thought about that, then his hand crushed the weaker arm of a farmer in front of him!
"Aghhhh!"
Then using him as a new shield, the bandit boss felt like he is doing a good job against the fools who had found someone else to found. Yes, he wasn't willing to leave his camp as there was someone outside for sure!
All he had to do was survive through this and be in a proper state to face more enemies.
However, the fools managed to inflict some damage and his arms had to withstand the blood flowing out! The worst opponents were the two hunters whose arrows had deeply lodged itself on his back.
But luckily enough, his leather armor had sustained a lot damage.
Then, a human shield did its work.
Nevertheless, the hunters were what forced the boss to utilize more strength, so he was getting tired at a rapid pace. Then after he deals with the pitiful villagers, his hands will still have a lot work to do.
The hunters... and an unknown entity.
"Why is he not helping you? Hmm?"
The only ones who could hear an question out from the lips of the bandit boss were the hunters. This question was directed at them as the villagers were either dead or unconscious with a huge wounds on their bodies.
They were laying below him letting out a weak cries full of pain and misery.

But the hunters didn't answer the bandit boss. They were stupid and allowed two people to control them as they wish... They had joined a bandit boss not too long ago and if this fact got known, then hunter groups wouldn't even accept them anymore!
So whether Vayve helps them or not, they were still all ready to fight with the bandit boss.
They were just too drunk back then and that's it.
Their hate was also real, but being on a good side is far better in the end.
As the bowstring got pulled, the bandit boss narrowed his eyes. He decided to take the arrow with his own body while protecting his vital points. At the same time, he will get closer to the hunter who holds a sword.
If the luck is on his side, then a few slashes of his dagger and the killing will be done.
The bandit boss roared, then his sprint shocked the two hunters. That man just threw a human shield aside and run forward like a bull! The arrow left the hunter side and flew straight for that idiot!
Slightly turning to the side, the bandit boss allowed the arrow to strike him a little below his shoulder, then threw a knife forward. The moment he did so, his palm went below and clenched a dagger that was his main weapon!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A three swift clashed happened in a mere second!
It was a strong display of an experience, but this is what a change happens in the whole battlefield! When the two retreated a little, a small coin struck the side of the bandit boss. It penetrated through his leather armor and wounded his body a little.
"A brat?!"
"..."
Vayve put a lot magic as usual, but because his accuracy was not 100%, he had failed at ended up wounded a side of the bandit boss. Though it itself was fine... The closest hunter swept his sword and the clash between two resumed.
The other one also let our an arrow and the situation surely took a worse turn for the bandit boss.
His body was losing more blood which was working on his sight already. It was getting hazy and hard to see, but the instincts of that beast exploded in an unexpected moment!
"Ugh!"
The hunter with a sword got his heart pierced by a knife! It meant that the bandit boss got that new shield for himself! And in his beastly state, the bandit boss just swept through the camp and rushed for that last hunter!
"Shit!"
Shu! Shu!
The last hunter sent his arrows, but it wasn't enough at all! His friend took all the shots, so taking a knife, the hunter prepared himself for a spar. Just before the contact erupted, the bandit boss threw his human shield forward, then like a beast, his punch smashed the face of a pitiful hunter.
As an archer, it was rather inevitable.
"Ughh! Stop! Go away- Blurgh!"
It was inevitable for him to fall just like his friend!
The constant punches descended onto his face, then as the vision blackened, the hunter could catch a glimpse of a death god who brightly took him in moments later.
He died!
Boom!
"Bratttttt!"
The beast was here.
He was truly exhausted and full of blood which means Vayve has to just prolong the battle till he falls by himself. However, an appearance of the bandit boss was way too scary for the current him. Furthermore, he was already not feeling any pain at all, thus, the beast like human... lunged himself straight at him!
And it's not like Vayve was just looking at everything from the side.
He was using his coins and wounding him up, even while the second hunter was dying. But this man was no longer feeling anything except that killing intent.
'This is so powerful... ability.'
Vayve muttered inwardly, then his body began running back. It was hard for the young him to outrun an adult, but thanks to the coins, Vayve had an ability to slow down the bandit boss.
Though no pain was felt by him, one strong magic shot was enough to slow down the bandit boss. His body was truly vulnerable to even a little magic! Each shot increased the process of his slow death and allowed Vayve to deal more damage.
"YoU Are Going With Me!"
After around ten coins left Vayve's palm, the bandit boss caught up to him. His body was enough to cover him whole, but the bandit boss was decisive in his last moments. The moment his shadow swallowed up Vayve, his hand went down to tear him apart.
But at the same time, Vayve took out a scroll from his sleeve. It was a very small scroll that could be hidden everywhere on his body. It was actually an small scroll that he himself described. The simple version of an defensive magic.
It was enough to stop the bandit boss after all the deaths and sacrifices.
In the end, Vayve became a kind of human who used others for his own benefit! The killing intent was so deeply felt by him right now that he felt like grasping a little of that killing intent. It was a good lesson for him.
"DIEEEE!"
The hoarse voice was kinda demonic. The fist soaked in blood even more, but it couldn't stop the small defensive magic barrier. It was protecting Vayve very well and as a one hand was enough to hold that small scroll, so the other one could be used for an attack.
Vayve clenched his coin, then sent it forward!
Being so close to the bandit boss, his coin easily penetrated through a throat! The huge amount of blood got spitted out, but Vayve was already feeling that killing intent very well. His eyes were widely open even if that blood covered his face whole.
Then as the bandit boss died, his body got kicked away by the maid who was on the watch.
If Vayve truly was close to the death, then she would surely protect him well! It was a risky move, but Vayve already sacrificed many... so he had to move himself, otherwise, he would feel way too bad.
The plan was rather simple and they had to work together to utilize it. But the farmers failed up cause of their own fear allowing the boss to get an upper hand. In the end, Vayve just decided to use them to weaken the bandit boss.
And so...

'What is this...'
The name was enough to explain that reward, but Vayve felt like he should get an explanation. The system window then widened, allowing him to read more. However, Vayve decided to rest for now, so he just closed it with his mind and properly laid himself on the ground.
