Vayve was following the bandit boss because of the equipment he had gathered.
This kind of equipment was pretty much worthless for Vayve and he knew that it wouldn't be strong enough to evoke the 'Bribe' skill. Of course, the desire to learn killing intent was also not that high, but as the system decided that this is beneficial for him, Vayve was also thinking about it more deeply.
Anyway, the first side quest shouldn't be failed.
Though there was also that quest to make Bibur a supporting character, it was a quest born out from their meeting. This one is truly a first quest that is going to raise his character's growth!
Vayve had to think like a MC and he was doing it flawlessly.
He stepped into a village which wasn't really well protected. The people here were wearing a poor clothes and mostly were focused on their farms.. Of course, there were a few spots for an adventures to rest.
But the bars were mostly occupied by the residents whose main job was to fight against the beasts from the forest.
Though Vayve had heard about these, he had yet to meet one personally. But it was known fact that the beasts roam freely and can be met everywhere...
Nevertheless, Vayve's current goal is to find the bandit boss. The Coin Toss with an eye effect shouldn't really do much damage, but only inflict some damage to his leather armor. Other than that, he should be all fine.
His goal would be either to use the gathered equipment for a money or... use it on someone else!
"Either this or that."
"Young Master... Shouldn't we buy a horse here? What if you get late for your academy..."
The bandit boss was a bastard who dared to attack her young master! But an academy was more important than that... It's a first step towards the great future, so Vayve's maid was very worried about that.
She believed that they are here to get a horse, then go all the way to an academy!
Her young master has to meet a new people, accomodate himself well here and then attend to that ceremony for new students.
"We must kill that bandit boss."
"Young Master..."
"Believe in me. This is more beneficial for me."
"Yes."
The maid nodded, then followed Vayve as he went to the closest bar. There were a lot of people drinking causing Vayve to think whether this village is truly safe or not. Of course, his maid was exposing more of her skin that she should now, so they became a target of their attention.
And the small seven years old boy entering the bar with such 'maid'...
What the hell are they here for?
No one knew that Vayve is here to kill a bandit boss! This very boss was in a corner, eating something while checking up his money that was rolling on the table... He had a few coins, but these weren't really worth anything for Vayve.
As his target got spotted, Vayve pulled the clothes of his maid gesturing them to sit down as closely as possible in order to keep an eye on the boss.
No one was truly trying to talk up to him as an appearance of a scar was enough to shoo away everyone who thought about his 'loot'.
'If we stay here too much, then they will sure go for us sooner.'
The maid seems like an easy target, but Vayve wanted to spare her from killing an innocent. Though them going for her wouldn't really make them 'innocent', Vayve knew he is partially at fault here.
A few minutes passed then.
People were still paying an attention to a sexy maid, but the moves had yet to be done. Maybe they were just satisfying their curiousity and desires with their eyes alone, but it was for better! Better for them of course!
Vayve was paying close attention to the bandit boss.
"Hey, you."
And speaking of the bandit boss, this man finally made a move. He pointed at a young farmer whose goods didn't really sell well... In fact, the nobles paid him a little and then, there was something related to an unknown energy.
Whether it was a magic or something else, who knows?
He was a farmer, someone who was the furthest from a magic! The noble used some stupid excuses which forced this young farmer to pass the 'magical' object to the noble without any reward...
It was a perfect target to recruit!
The bandit boss made a move and slowly coaxed a young farmer... In his drunken state, a young farmer had no way of resisting and it was simply a matter of a time before he turns into that bandit. A perfect tool for a bandit boss!
When Vayve heard it, he realized that the he was very close to guessing the next move of his enemy.
If that's the case, then he has to watch over him for a while!
"We can leave."
"Yes."
Before any stupid moves happened from the warrior villages, Vayve took his maid outside. Both of them didn't go far away from the bar, so that they can continue to look for another targets of the bandit boss.
"Young master... Is there really a need for us to go after him?"
"It is... Didn't I tell you to believe in me?"
"I am sorry... It's just that an academy... is also something that Miss looks forward too..."
"Yeah... I know..."
Vayve still didn't move even when his mother got mentioned. It was fine for the maid to be worried as she had no knowledge about the system. For her, it might be a mere kill for an items or just a satisfaction of revenge, but Vayve had that quest and so he is going to act accordingly to it.
And a new plan was slowly building up within his mind.
The boss surely has a main camp.
It would be hard to follow him as a main camp is something valuable. The instincts of the bandit boss surely would be pushed up by him on his way back... Nevertheless, there has to be a place where he gathers all his new recruits.
So a recruit is a weak point.
The constant new recruits are weak point indeed.
All Vayve has to do is follow the bandit boss silenty in the villages... then put a naive idiots back to their place.
His wise words aren't free though.
