Chapter 27: It Makes Me More Depressed
After Deb Oh finished her studying for the day, she switched on her electronic tablet to look for a drama that she wanted to watch.
"I don't want to continue with 'Nix You' it makes me more depressed!"
Deb Oh continued to browse through the selection of new drama on the Vissasian website.
"This one doesn't look too bad, 'Whistleblower of Joseon' the summary is tempting!"
Deb Oh clicked on the first episode to begin the drama which was set in a Korean warring time known as the Joseon era. This was a period when the nobles and high ranking government officials would oppress the poor and vulnerable people that could not fend for themselves by placing hefty taxes on them.
Deb Oh loved watching dramas cast in the era of the warring states, the time difference made her appreciate the life that she lived in the modern world.
Deb Oh saw the male lead of the drama was daring and a romantic at heart who fought to protect the woman that he loved from the scheming corrupt government officials.
2 hours later Deb Oh decided to call it a day by shutting her electronic tablet after watching 2 episodes of the ancient drama.
