Chapter 18: Deliberate Ignorance
Deb Oh's face was an expressionless mask as she voiced the question to her driver. Surprisingly dead quiet met her response to him.
"There is one thing that I find really annoying, DELIBERATE IGNORANCE! In this day and age, there is one idiot out there that wants to know if I can SEE with my eyes?! I need to ask you how you can see from your green eyes! So stupid!"
Deb Oh recalled the color of the man's eyes when he turned back to greet her from the driver's seat. His looks were passable at the most, nothing particularly stricking about him. The reference to the color of the driver's eyes was that certain minority groups went through the assumption that color such as grey, green and blue may have problems seeing unlike those that had black or brown eyes.
Deb Oh was brought up to be polite to strangers even when at times they acted in a way that could incite a negative response from her. Deb Oh kept her thoughts secret and continued to go through her phone to the Sebnovel app to continue her new interest.
"I hope Sun-gu and Sik end up together! Dating at the same place of work is an hassle, everyone is always in your business!"
Light returned to Deb Oh's eyes when she opened the next chapter of the serialized story she was actively following. This was where she found solace when facing a difficult time.
