Chapter 17: You Are Deb Right?
Deb Oh thought back on a conversation she had with one of the Yber drivers that picked her from her apartment complex on a weekend morning.
"Hi, you are Deb right?"
The man was fair skinned and had the look of one that kept a strict workout.
"Yes, Hi!"
Introvert by choice, Deb Oh got into the backseat with her blue surgical mask which she wore in compliance with the driving company Yber. Deb Oh was an extrovert as a child but series of disappointments from failing grades made her grow more reserved until eventually she became an introvert.
Deb Oh pulled out her Namsung phone and was going through some books she had collected in her Sebnovel reading account.
Deb Oh tapped on the cover of her current LGBT+ read, 'Flirtatious Boss Lee Sun-gu and Shy Secretary Noh Sik' to continue from where she stopped.
"Hey, I've always wondered how people of your kind are able to see. I don't want you to take offense it's just that my curiosity took the better of me!"
Deb Oh froze for a second to digest what the driver asked her, she couldn't make out the look on his face. Therefore she settled on reading the tone of his voice which to her wasn't mocking but felt invasive.
"Are you asking how a person like me with almond eyes and olive skin can actually see the same thing as someone with fair skin and big eyes like you?"
Deb Oh made use of one of the therapeutic communication methods that was drilled into her during her stint at nursing school, Clarification was the act of asking a patient if what the nurse understood from the question posed by the patient was rightly or wrongly interpreted.
