Chapter 4: The Meeting
Harper POV
Waking up the next morning yawning as stretch out my muscles, I get up and lazily walk to the kitchen. I quickly eat a bowl of cereal before texting dad that I'm going for a run, my wolf has been restless and being a rare silver coat wolf, I can't exactly shift when off and out during my travels.
He sends a quick thumbs up and I'm quickly out the door, glancing around making sure no one is near, I hide behind a bush, strip and call her forward. Soon the experience of bones breaking, mending, growing and muscles changing take over. For first time shifters it's long and painful, but for experienced ones like myself, you embrace it and don't even feel a thing besides a slight pain when the bones break. Falling on four paws, i shake my fur out and stretch once more, letting her take over our shared body while keeping me close by in case I'm needed, she takes off. Bounding, leaping, playing as she runs through the forest floor.
She hasn't been let out in a while and soon she takes down a deer without issue, after getting her fill she takes off once more. She takes off to a nearby pond, drinking her fill we lay and bathe in the sun. Listening to the different species of birds chirp and chatter amongst themselves, and the occasional bark of warning from a squirrel.
Soon we take off to the direction of our clothing, shift back and change into the clothes. I start off towards the concert area. It's almost time, I find my nervousness and anxiety rising up to my throat.
Swallowing it down I change into more comfortable clothes, not caring about my appearance in front of my friends and family alike. And get ready for the show. I step out onto the stage...
It's showtime.
Jason POV
"Common Jason! We're here to have fun, loosen up. Smile a bit, I hear it's good for the soul!" Alexis screams over the crowd, even with super hearing it's hard to hear her speak with the crowd going wild for Harper.
"I'll try!" I tell back just as the cheering grew more intense, curious me and Alexis looked up to see Harper come onto the stage and speak into the microphone, I couldn't register what she said, I hadn't even been able to get my eyes off her from the moment she stepped out.
Mate. Mine. My wolf growled, just from looking at her I could tell she was the one, and judging from the fact that Alexis is looking at me with a omg look, she knew as well. Harper started to look through the crowd, her wolf must have tipped her off that her mate was here. Me that's me, please look at me. I thought to myself.
She looked until we were eye to eye as we could get with me being out of arm's reach but close enough to be able to tell who she was looking at. She smiled and asked the crowd if they'd like to hear one of her most popular songs, they erupt into cheers as she starts to sing and my world just gets better.
She starts singing her most popular song. When I find you, I'm assuming that it's about finding her mate and what she'll do when she finds them, lucky for her Alexis talked me into coming.
"I'll be there for you, I'll be with yoooooou." She finishes the song having not broke eye contact from me, smiling at me she speaks into the microphone once more.
"Alright guys one more song!" She says and starts singing a more upbeat tune of hers, and we all start rocking out to it. My world just got so much better, so much more…. Happier.
