Chapter 17: Cap 17 - Mercenary (Beautiful Luminous Enchantments)

When they finally reached the healer's office, Spicer was maddeningly hungry and his mouth was crying for water he could already feel his lips almost cracking. It was deposited on a well-hewn stone table that was supported by thick logs, like a simple commodity. This room was different, it was not a sensation of something magical as Spicer had felt in the rest of the building, it exuded magic. Spicer had noticed that the mansion was built of wood, but that room had walls made of stones with some carved marks on each one. They had all the devices you would expect from a place made to heal people, but with a few more tools than in contrast to the others, they seemed to be instruments of torture. The woman dismissed the rest of the guards, except for what Spicer had worn. She ordered everyone to wait at the door, no one should leave, and they were ordered to keep a constant watch, at the slightest strange noise they should enter the room at the same time.

She ordered the guard to undress Spicer and do everything she asked. First, he prepared a container with a strange oil and added some herbs murmuring a few words that to Spicer's ear were nothing more than wheezing. She hurt three other herbs with deft hands. She ordered the guard to place a basin in the fireplace so that the contents were heated, but he had ordered it not to come to the boiling point. As soon as the guard removed the bowl from the fire, the woman in red added the contents of the container containing the oil and some herbs. The woman then poured a red liquid inside and all that mixture started to give off a very good odor, to Spicer's nose it seemed a sweet smell of cinnamon.

It was then that another person entered the room, a young boy who appeared to have two more solar cycles than Spicer, with a leather bag being carried on his lap. The new figure was very thin, had a handsome face, and was quite proportionate, but around his eyes, they were quite dark, as if the young man was lost the will to live. The clothes he wore were also red, the niggas kept almost his entire body covered and only his arms were left out. Looking at the young boy, the woman in red gave an expression of reproach.

-Noah, where were you? -The woman went to him, passing a cloth while the young man finished washing his hands in a basin near the table that Spicer was at. -Are you not aware of what happened today?

-Lady, I'm sorry, I had gone to the pharmacist to get some ingredients that we had ordered. -The young man spoke every word looking down when the woman shrugged, he continued. -Many of the things had been weighed wrong, and I ended up taking longer than necessary to correct the error.

-Okay, I've done practically all of your work. This matter is urgent and we must be as careful as possible, mistakes will not be tolerated. -The woman cast an inquisitive look at the young man, who nodded.

When the woman passed the bowl to the boy, he seemed to know what it was about the same time he looked at the contents. He positioned the basin on a place that seemed to have been custom-made to receive that vessel, the structure was dark cedar, carved with some white runes. He positioned the apparatus beside the spot where Spicer was and for the first time looked at the young boy who was on the stone table. First, the look was astonished, when looking at Spicer's body the boy felt disconcerted. Those scars were horrible, each one made the young man named Noah feel his spine freeze. But it was at the moment when his eyes reached Spicer's face that Noah was truly afraid, the look the mercenary held went beyond all logic that Noah had about the danger. A strange feeling that he should run as fast as possibly started to alert in the mind of the sensitive young man, there was something black in that person's aura. He had been frozen, his bones seemed to have dried up and he was no longer able to obey his commands. It was then that the woman in red's hands brought him back.

-Noah, are you going crazy? -The woman's startled voice made the guards enter the room, pointing the weapons where Spicer was, seeing the whole situation she raised her hands and they returned out of the room. Now the look that young Noah received was so sharp that if it weren't for the sensation of moments ago he would have been very afraid. -No mistake, did you hear? After that, we will have a conversation, boy.

The woman in red held hands with the boy who had arrived minutes ago and had already experienced so many feelings that he would make it through the lunar cycle without being able to sleep, it was then that something abnormal happened. The two people who had held hands began to recite an incantation, it looked like the recitation of a poem in an unknown language. Spicer had already visited major theaters to observe his target and he couldn't help but notice the natural talent of the people who did that. The intonation, the slow breathing, the way the words seemed to come to life. Art always enchants those who are open to appreciate it, and that's what Spicer saw in those two. Art, an art so alive that Spicer admires the figure of the woman and the boy. Both voices were extremely beautiful while reciting that spell. For the first time that night, except for the architectural beauty of the mansion, Spicer felt at peace.

As the words were said, the liquid inside the bowl started to sparkle, when a sentence ended a luminous intensity was added and when they repeated the same sentence, the more the liquid shone. The brightness was so strong that it lit up Spicer's face, that at that moment if anyone had looked into his face, he would have seen his real age, for it was the face of a child who had just received a toy. Altogether that spell was repeated five times, now the two people were just murmuring, and the light was no longer shining so brightly. Until no more words were said and no whispers could be heard. What was left of the entire enchantment process was a silvery blue liquid. Even though Spicer had been in several places, he had never found anything that had a color like that or at least remembered that. Then he realized in awe, that was magic, he had never witnessed a feat that had taken his breath away and that night would be recorded. For Spicer, magic was a bad thing, basically used to inflict respect on other people. But he just saw how tremendously beautiful it could also be.

{Hi guys, it's me, that one who knows everything! Unfortunately I tried to attach the code for you to have access to the map. But I was not successful. tomorrow I will look for another way to make it available :( Perhaps tomorrow you will be able to see the outcome of Spicer story. I don't know if I explained it before, but a lunar cycle is equivalent to a month and a solar cycle is equivalent to a year. It may be that in previous chapters I used the term month or year, but Adorin was born in this Mondey, lol. Ow, don't blame Spicer for feel atract in the enchantments, he may be a mercenary, but he's still a young. See u!}
