Chapter 15: Cap 15 - Mage

When Tristan opened his door, how much he smelled of urchin excrement and his things were all messed up. Imps usually disturb people's judgment, but they are harmless when they are not irritated, as they can become very dangerous. They limit themselves to destroying small things, changing places, gnawing important scrolls, and leaving the place with a stink of excrement. That week was being awful for young Tristan. He mixed some herbs as he had skillfully read in the book, several types in his room looked more like a deposit. He had a lot of ingredients since he planted most of them on his balcony, others he took from the greenhouse in the garden that was reserved for him. But some very rare ones, he borrowed to return shortly, but he always ended up replanting as soon as possible. He went over the recipe again.

-1 stalk of mandrake root-Two pinches of powdered dragon grass, with more than three lunar cycles-Three thorns of holy thorn

He mixed all the ingredients and threw into the small cauldron that was in the corner of the room, as he had no skill to light the fire with magic, he left the fire practically always on. The smell misses horribly, but the consistency started to look like the figure in the book. Missing a portion was something that didn't exist in Tristan's vocabulary. After the finished portion, he took some and placed it in a closed container with only a few cuts at the top where the steam passed, Tristan wrote the runes to liquefy the contents of the container and placed it in the corner of the room.

According to the book, this would give off a smell that would send the goblins away from the source of the odor. Almost as if by magic, a dozen goblins started flying around the room, Tristan trying to get past the cloud of small pests, ran to his bedroom window trying to protect his face and head and opened it. The small creatures with bluish skin pointed ears and coal-black eyes fled scratching their throats as if something had choked them.

Tristan closed the window satisfied, finally managed to get rid of the bad that was tormenting him. More and more his rune skills were improving, which was making him very proud. Perhaps in the next period, he would try to apply for the magic object building class. He kept the rest of the portion that had been left untouched in case it became necessary on another occasion. When the bell rang announcing that it was already eleven o'clock he ran to his small table in the corner of the room and turned on a sphere of light, it was then that he removed his clothes and began to feel his thin body looking for the sign in the book. But he had no success in finding it. It was then that after giving up he felt something slowly come off his skin. The feeling was that Tristan was being skinned, perhaps it is the same pain that small caterpillars feel when turning into butterflies.

Tristan took the book and once again analyzed it, it was not something much worked on. It appeared to be made of simple material. The cover was leather, if it was for a kick it would be people and the sheets were made of noble paper, probably made of pine trees. Apart from the peculiarity of the origin of its cover, nothing else would stir someone's curiosity. Tritan had already handled so many human leather books, dating back to ages, that he thought it was one of those artifacts. Perhaps the magic system of that time was produced that way, but that pattern did not fit any of the cultures he knew.

It was then that the young magician took a small blade that was on his table and cut his palm, the blood flowed through the pages of the open book and the mean that he was sucking blood disappeared. That still seemed a little scary to the boy, but still, he was stuck with that phenomenon, the attempt to seek the explanation behind that phenomenon that seemed so complex to the young magician's mind made his wit sharp. It was then that he took a quill and dipped it in the inkwell, with beautiful handwriting he wrote.

-Are you satisfied with the taste of my blood? -The question seemed ridiculous to Tristan, but with his few social skills he didn't know how to express what he wanted to say. So most of the time he ended up saying things that didn't make a lot of sense.

-Well boy, the taste of your blood is spectacular. -The words were appearing in the same red tone as Tristan's blood. -I felt very hungry! I almost left you when I detected quality blood ...

-How? -Tristan was a little confused, did not understand the answer to the book as much as he did not understand his question.

-Wrong question, boy ... -The book wrote. -Wrong question, are you always such an idiot? I thought you were smarter. But I must have made a mistake for its magical potential.

The mention of the magical potential made Tristan freeze, the book didn't know he was an invalid in terms of magic. And the warning the book had given him was still etched in his mind. "If you weren't a strong boy, I would have devoured you." Tristan didn't want to know what a book that was drinking his blood would be able to do. It was then that he decided that he would omit his condition until he was able to deal with that creature.

-Well, I see that you don't have a good eye on me. -Written the boy trying to improve the mood. -But know that I am very capable, and from what I am seeing here you are the one who has no content for me to read. So, how could you ask the questions so much that?

-ARE YOU HALF DONKEY BOY? -All the words were written in capital letters, Tristan thought he was going crazy because he just irritated a book. -You did not understand that my lack of words does not mean a lack of content right boy? If I were to contain in those few words everything I know, then your library would be nothing more than a ring box.

That placement made the young magician look at the book with a different look, if he was right in that placement, then that book represented an unlimited source of knowledge and wisdom, which means power for a magician. Now the origin of the book was something that mattered most to Tristan, so that would be the question he would ask.

-How did you originate? -Tristan looked closer, longing for the answer, but she was slow to arrive. At last, the words began to appear very slowly.

-Let's make a deal, for now, boy. -The book paused putting "....", very slowly, Tristan interpreted that as a pause in the speech of the object. –Everything related to me will be a prohibited topic, and I will not ask any questions about you either. Ok, boy?

Tristan reflected a little, if the book asked for a demonstration of his power, he would refuse to give, on the pretext that he should reveal his origin first. That seemed to be a good argument for the young wizard, who decided to trust the words that the book was speaking. It was then that he wrote about the pages.

-Combined. -Tristan closed the book and went to sleep, his mind took time to calm down. For the first time the little magician would have something interesting to deal with the other day.

{Hello guys, it1s me, that one who knows everything! I have an important announcement, from now on I will be organizing our fantastic world in an online tool so that the plot becomes more coherent. As I have no one to edit the chapters, I hope you can reveal some errors until I manage to resolve this. When editing, I will not change the content, I will only change the agreement, which will not cause any harm to those who have been following the unedited parts. Adorin's map is ready, I have no idea how to plot an image here. But I'll find a way. The magic by Adorin never ends!}
