Chapter 9: cap 9 - Mercenary

The carriage went slowly through the streets of the poorest area and passed through the most intermediate areas where you could see the richest area. The difference was monstrous, when you left the poor area and reached the middle, you wondered if you had not reached another country through a magic portal. In the middle zone, the shops were tidier, people were rarely dirty and even though most of them had worn clothes, they had no holes and were not rags. The smell was bearable and in general, only meat and fish fairs smelled not very pleasant and you could see fewer people begging in the streets. Even the beggars were different because if you were very deplorable the soldiers would remove you and then beat you up to break some teeth or even some bones so that they would never go to that part of the city again.

When you arrived in the rich zone it seemed to be in another world. The stores were luxurious and the clothes were luxurious, it had the noblest types of fabrics that existed in every empire. Spicer recognized fabrics from foreign empires in some stores, even the dresses were iridescent which were a stark contrast to the gray colors of the poor. He could not understand how those people managed to ignore the poor areas and sleep with a clear conscience after all that splendor was raised in the blood of the poor.

He followed silently and cart in a way that no one who was escorting her knew he was being followed. This was the time for him to act, he had already mentally reviewed the plan several times. That girl could be lucky and he would end up saving her, but if he tried to save her he compromised the mission he couldn't do anything. I would wait until things got to that point and see what the situation would be like.

Spicer went to meet them with light, elflike steps walking on the snow, his target's henchmen entered with the girl inside a mansion. The place was magnificent, it looked like palaces from time immemorial with picturesque architecture, even being in the middle zone it could be in the richest part of the city without any problem. In the entrance hall, the colors overlapped each other and several figures did not seem to have much logic, however beautiful. Spicer noticed that the figures carried a hidden message. A person who has not been trained to observe details expertly would not notice that the green and blue colors intersect at certain points, forming the image even vaguely when their face is at an angle of 30 ° and slightly tilted from a naked woman with small children with wings around them.

The architect of that place deserved congratulations, to form the image it was not enough just to be in the right position but also to have the influence of the light, and if you concentrated too much the image would disappear. Spicer did not know the nature of magic and much less had he seen it in person, but to deny its existence was a great sign of nonsense and at that moment even amid his heavy burden of murdering someone he could not refuse to smile, something magical in that palace, all shapes were carefully constructed.

Those brief moments of distraction were enough for Spicer to lose focus on his mission. He felt excruciating pain coming from the back of his neck. He ended up being knocked out, but that wasn't enough to knock someone used to the pain. Before he realized he had several men surrounding him. Somewhat dizzy Spicer saw a couple of women running around with terrified looks and a man approaching when another one came from behind and placed a cloth soaked with a drug that at the first breath touched his entire system. For the fraction of a second before being doped, Spicer decided that being captured was the best way to complete the mission with a ninety percent chance of success. He felt a twinge that came from the top of his head to the soles of his feet splitting him in half. His gaze wandered before everyone present and closed.

As he was being dragged through the corridors, Spicer's eyes opened and closed slowly trying to find something that was familiar. The architecture of the place was fabulous, the colors green and blue intersected gracefully and majestically like the dance of two dragons. She was a beautiful dance of colors that Spicer believed to be the effect of the numbing on her mind. He once again closed his eyes and this time fell into an immense void. Under brotherhood rules, anyone caught could not wait for help. He would be abandoned if he failed in his mission and handing over the organization is the same as denying his nature. He closed his eyes with that painful stalemate.

Opening his eyes, Spicer swept the room with a critical eye. Even in that situation he managed to be majestic, he did not know his origins nor did he know who his mother was, much less who was the guy who carried his father's title. However, no one could disagree that he had unspeakable beauty hardened with years of iron training. His eyes were copper-colored and his black hair was straight up to his shoulders. A beauty that for those who had never seen could judge him with an elven air that was so majestic.

Spicer was half-naked with arms and legs spread and chains locked on his feet and hands. He had only a pair of underwear covering his nakedness. He had a cold, calculating look. His eyes lingered on Spicer's eyes and after a few minutes, he looked away. Another guy, shorter and with a playful face, went around Spicer. He did not sustain more than a glance at Spicer and when he tried to approach, he stopped suddenly as if looking at a beast that even in prey was still a great danger. He asked one of his men to remove the one piece of clothing that prevented Spicer from staying as he had come into the world and finished evaluating the young mercenary after the appraising looks had finished the man placed the small cloth over Spicer again.

The taller man was approaching and Spicer tried to control his untamed genius to the point that he did nothing, he could not worry about anything but the success of the mission. One wrong move and all would be lost. He has descended deeper into the iron mind and I try to extinguish all his feelings of shame or helplessness for having his movements limited. When the taller man came as close to Spicer as possible, the mercenary noticed a startled look, as he made a movement with his feet and the sound of the chains beating was enough for the man to back up and everyone to catch their breath. One thing Spicer had noticed, they were afraid of him and that was a very good thing.

{Hi guys, it's me, that one who knows everything! I hope you don't take into account the fact that Spicer was captured as his fault, this is your first mission alone. When he becomes a professional, you can hire him if you decide to visit Adorin ...}
