Chapter 53: 'I've done it all wrong'
So it was only Navneet who listened to her and understood her among them all. She felt her heart lighter when she shared them with Navneet. Since she couldn't share about such things with her parents.
"Did you have breakfast?", Navneet asked her as he was trying to change her mood.
"Yeah. Why?", Kruthika answered she didn't look into his eyes.
"Look into my eyes and answer", Navneet commanded.
"Is that really necessary!", Kruthika exclaimed, "You are driving you need to concentrate on that".
"Okay now you can say", Navneet said as traffic light turned to red.
"Navneet, okay I didn't have it. Will you please leave it", Kruthika said.
"No, we will have breakfast in a restuarant and then go to office", Navneet said.
"Are you mad? We are not employees to be late! We are still interns. We are going to office", Kruthika said turning bit angry on him.
"I'll explain to the superior. You should have breakfast with me", Navneet said.
Navneet forced her too much that she had to have her breakfast. Kruthika finally agreed to him. They got you down to have some breakfast.
They both sat on the chair occupying the table, Navneet went to give the order at the counter, he left his mobile on the table.
The message pinged on his mobile.
Kruthika took his mobile and read the message which was from the some offer regarding the recharge.
"Hey! I changed the password yesterday itself how did you know it?!!", Navneet asked her as he came with a plate of sandwich.
"Duffer!! You changed the password to pattern standing by my side even after knowing that I'm good with patterns", Kruthika said as she took the plate from him.
"Did you peep in!!", Navneet asked her.
"Yep!! But I didn't read to our personal messages. I've common sense okay!!", Kruthika replied as she ate her sandwich.
"You are good with patterns right. Okay I'll change it to password", said Navneet as he changed his password of his mobile.
"Why are you not having breakfast?", Kruthika asked him.
"I had in home, it's still heavy for me", Navneet replied.
After having breakfast they went to work as interns. Kruthika's mind was diverted from Karthik when she's given some work.
Days passed by but she didn't find how to solve, 'WHY TIME GOING I BUT ANSWER'. She tried to rearrange the sentence in many ways but didn't get answer as of what Karthik actually wanted to say to her.
She wasn't able sleep peacefully at night. This question troubled her the most. Life doesn't stop by this right!! It has to keep going on and she has to concentrate on her carrier too as she was now the only child of her parents.
It was a sunday morning, Kruthika, Varshini and Sunil were present in Navneet's home regarding their project development.
"Hey Sunil! I didn't understand what message you sent me today! What does that mean?", Kruthika asked him as she showed her mobile opening the message.
"You could have asked me in the message itself right?!!", Sunil asked her.
"My pack had expired and there's free wifi in hostel to use data, so I thought to recharge tomorrow", Kruthika said, "Now answer me".
"Read it backwards and I attached a symbol also right to left arrow mark. Didn't you observe it?!!", Sunil said, "Symbols do make sense. I've not written it just because it's fancy"
"Instead of doing all that drama why don't you say it to her easily", Varshini asked.
"This gentleman is a weirdo. He needs applause for his idea of creating new way of chatting. We both have chatted like this like hundred times in these three and half years", Navneet answered and gave a high-five to Sunil.
"That's stupidity!!", Varshini said to Kruthika.
Kruthika just smiled, she realised where she has gone wrong.
"Guys I'm sorry I need to go", Kruthika said as she grabbed her bag which she brought. She was wearing orange floral crop top with blue jeans, her hairs were tied in pony.
"Why all of a sudden?", Navneet asked her, he was wearing shorts since he was at home with a blue t shirt.
"Yeah! We have loads of work and topics to discuss", Sunil said, he was wearing green t-shirt with back jeans.
"No I just remembered some work that I had to finish today itself. I was so carries that I forgot about it completely", Kruthika said as she eager to know what the message that Karthik wanted to convey her even after his death.
"Kruthika can't you postpone it", Varshini asked her.
"No I can't. I'm really sorry any decision you take will be fine", Kruthika said.
"It's not about decision Kruthika! It's about the ideas one pour to the project and since we are doing internship we don't get another day to discuss about it", Navneet explained the situation to her.
"Okay. If I stay here I'll be physically present while my mind will be on the work whichi was supposed to do now. So it's loss on both sides right?!!", Kruthika exclaimed.
Sunil took a deep breath, "Okay you can go. We will be very upset with you that's for sure"
"I'll explain in it to you guys later but please I've to go", Kruthika said.
Now everyone could see how she was panicked.
She looked at everyone, her eyes said how important this was to her. She went away grabbing her bag.
