Chapter 50: Karthik's story which he never shared
Kruthika returned home, she called the hospital staff and asked them to look after her parents until she returns as she had some unfinished work to complete.
She didn't have any work that day, everything about the insurance and hospital bill settlement was already done two days back and she has requested everyone (as much as possible) to not raise a topic about Karthik once her parents return to home.
The only will was to read the journal what Karthik wanted Kruthika to know she has to finish reading today itself as she had only three days for her college to reopen.
The hospital will discharge her parents and she has to say who they were to them and should teach them about business and house chores. They have to resume the construction of their house which was resumed from the day of Karthik's demise. These things must happen within three days.
Kruthika opened the door of her home with keys, turned on the fan (she was from typical middle class family) drank a glass of water and rested for five minutes.
She looked at the journal which was placed on the table before her. She opened it.
'WHOEVER READS IT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION WILL BE VICTIM TO ALL MY CURSES'
The above lines were written in shining red ink on the very first page of the journal. She smiled at it how childish Karthik is!!
She turned the page there was something written but she couldn't understand it. She thought how to solve this problem. It was a headache for her as of how to read it and know what Karthik actually meant to say her.
She then thought of mirroring the journal, since the journal was a bit delicate because of all the decorations made, she took the pictures of the page and mirrored the pic.
'So day's been going well, I don't know what to write. Hmm....
Let me try since this is first time writing my feelings, I usual don't share it with anyone. Well.... sometimes Kruthika finds out that I'm hiding something and I'll always share her half or may be quarter of what I feel.
I don't know from where to start...
I always wanted to study in this university since I saw its campus on internet. I love it. I talk to my parents regularly.
Previous day Sunaina indirectly proposed to me. I'm in dilema of what to answer.
It's not that I don't like her but I think it's not enough, one should not get compromised just because they like them. Liking someone is not enough love is necessary.
And it's not the right time to decide about such big things... Or may be I just need sometime to know that the feeling I'm having on her is love or crush.
Oh God!! I can't be like this!! I've my goals to achieve. First one is becoming a RAW agent. Second is adopting three children. Third is having a complete and happy family.
Oops!! May be I'm not supposed to discuss about third goal this soon!!'
The above was written in spanish transcript in Hindi, when it was done mirror imaged of the page. Not only that but other languages were also used in middle. Kruthika turned the page.
'I can't answer to Kruthika why I'm talking to her only by means of letter. I haven't got enough time to talk to her personally and may be we can't get in future also because our schedules of our academics. I think that she's the only one who can understand me even when I'm silent.
Thank God that I'm having such a good, caring wonderful sister who understands me.

Only these written on his journal. She turned the pages, there were photographs of him in the college university which he converted it to an album.
One with him doing mediation, one with having a fun night with his boys at hostel, one family picture, one where he's doing some sort of classical dance, one where he was doing seminar, one where he was pointing as the photographer, few selfies taken while he went outing with his friends (some included few animals) and the last one with Kruthika's single photo.
Kruthika gently caressed the photo where Karthik was in it, she felt sorry for what she'll be doing to him.
'I'm sorry Karthik, I'm selfish!! I only have mom and dad with me now. I don't want to lose them. I'm killing you in their past forever. If possible please forgive me!!'
Kruthika cried saying these words looking at Karthik's photo.
Kruthika noticed that every photo was either having a word or a letter of an expression covered within in the frame. But she failed to realise what did it mean.
Few pages of journal were empty, nothing was written nor sticked on those pages. But at the last page, Karthik wrote a line by himself. It was not a thought stolen from social media or internet, she felt it was genuinely written by him.
LIFE'S IS A PUZZLE
WE COLLECT THE PIECES OF IT THROUGHOUT OUR LIFE
WHEN WE JOIN THEM AND SEE, WE'LL BE ABLE TO SEE A PICTURE WHICH CONVEYS A MESSAGE..
Kruthika was trying to understand what he actually wanted to convey to her.
"There's nothing in this.. He just answered why he was not able to talk to me on phone calls and in person. Why isn't he saying clearly what he wants to share with me. Crap! May be now I'm gonna kill myself from all this", Kruthika said to herself.
All these sudden change of things was making her weaker emotionally
She was going insane. Her head ached when she thought about all these things.

Karthik wanted Kruthika to know certain secretes about him, which she right it might be in the journal but there wasn't any written anywhere in whole journal.
What is it that Karthik wanted Kruthika to know about him? That too in this way of secret!!!
