Chapter 29: She never shares her pain or feelings with anyone
The door bell rang.
"I'll take it", said Abhikshith as they both went downstairs.
Abhikshith opened the door took the order and paid the bill while Kruthika took the plates and glasses from the drawer and placed it on dining table.
"Here you go", says Abhikshith as he placed the food on the table.
They sat on table having food, Abhikshith asked,"Do you remember the day I came here, you poked me on my shoulder. Why did you do that?"
"I was testing if that's a dream or reality", answered Kruthika as she sipped her cold drink from the glass.
"So does this imply that I come in your dreams?", asked Abhikshith with a flirty smile.
"It's very rare. Like you came only once or twice in my dreams", said Kruthika eating her slice of pizza.
"Then who comes frequently in your dreams?", asked Abhikshith with curiosity.
"I. I'll come in my every dream".
"In your dream obviously you'll be there. But apart from you is there any person who comes in your dreams frequently?".
"Nope. I don't think there is someone who come in my dreams..... Oh look at time. I'll be late to my work if I don't hurry now", said Kruthika and ate her food a bit fast without talking anymore.
She dressed up for her job and while going she gave the money to Abhikshith for her share of food and went for job.
After five minutes Anirudh, Sudeep, Sachin and Hemanth came to home at once.
"So was there any improvement?", asked Anirudh to Abhikshith.
"There was but very negligible. She still has doubt that why I came here to stay rather than a hotel!", said Abhikshith.
"She's Kruthika. We can't fool her easily. She won't let it until she gets the answers", Sachin said.
"I have to thank you guys moreover than anything. For all that drama you made about having a new roommate on the day of my arrival and today giving me and Kruthika little private space. It's like I couldn't ask more from you guys", Abhikshith said.
"May be we can be friends with you", said Sudeep and lended his hand for shaking their hands.
"Yeah. Now I've four more friends", Abhikshith said giving a handshake to Sudeep, "I need another favour from all of you. Can anyone please say what happened with Kruthika and Rishi".
"I'm afraid that none of us can do that Abhi. We have been sharing this home with her nearly from six to seven months, one can notice that she hasn't shared any of her personal information with any of us. And neither she asks from us but when we say about our personal stuff she doesn't object us but only listens to our pain. When we share our pain she'll only give advice if we ask for it. All of us have atleast one emotional breakdown like being homesick or anything, but none of us have seen her like that", Hemanth explained.
Anirudh, Sudeep and Sachin were a bit shocked to see Hemanth talking about some topic apart from his for this long. And they nodded at every sentence of his because it is truth.
"May be because you are having different shifts and it occurs that she spends her time lonely. Just analyse, she go to her work around 8:30pm and she returns back at 6:30am next morning. The number of hours for her duty will be 10 hours and nearly two and half hours she'll take or attend classes. She'll sleep from 9:30 in morning till 4:30 in evening, so seven hours. She'll be spending only four hours with us", said Abhikshith.
"So you have only four hours to know her and to convey your feelings to her", Sachin said.
Abhikshith fell silent , thinking deeply on how to convey his feelings and on how to know her.
"She didn't share her pain or feelings with any one here. Then with whom was she talking to when I rode her to home on that day. She mentioned their name. What was it? What was it? Yes it was Krishna. Should I go and say her about my feelings before it's too late as mom said. Or should I wait for the right time, when I'll be close to her as her friend", thought Abhikshith to himself. He went to his room.
Meanwhile...
Kruthika took a bus and went to airport. She talked to Krishna all the way in spanish.
"Abhikshith is way more stubborn than I thought. If he did all this only to propose me then why isn't he doing it. What's his scheme or plan? I want to bid a good bye to his chapter in my life as soon as possible but it seems like it'll take way too long. Krishna I really don't like this. I don't know what's your thoughts and plans about my life but currently I don't like this. It's not like I hate him that doesn't mean that I love him or anything. All this doesn't seem right to me somehow!"
"Look at us. He's a celebrity and he's from a glamorous industry whereas I'm just a woman who works as an ATC with handsome salary. We both are so different moreover I'm really not in state to marry someone atleast until I...", she fell silent. She didn't want to talk more she was done.
She reached the airport at 9:12 pm, sat on the bench and starred into the darkness of sky where she could only see planes and few bright stars.
She sat there feeling the breeze, she closed her eyes. She lost in the moment and took a heavy breath.
"You don't even hide a single secret from us. How will you become a spy?". "Every cell of your skin just be an eye. One must not only know the skills but should also have mastered them or you'll risk your life".
These words echoed in her ears. She was determined now her way was much more clear on what she should focus.
