Chapter 6: Packing and traveling
The days passed by and 25th April finally came. Kruthika is so excited that she's going to her country after six months, she kept busy herself in packing and making sure that she didn't leave anything. She had booked her tickets on last when Manasa sent her venue of her wedding. She had her flight tomorrow morning at 9.
It was a busy day for her because she couldn't come back to home tomorrow morning after finishing her job but have to hurry to the passengers block the airport. She made the batter for dosa, a pancake made from rice flour and ground pulses, and some chutney, a sauce containing small pieces of fruits and vegetables mixed with some spices, for them.
She didn't have enough sleep that noon because she was busy in packing, and preparing some backup food for the guys.
"Gift for Manasa, check. Dad's gift, check. Mom's earrings, check. My clothes pair of jeans, 5 tops, 5 kurthis and jackets check. Footwear high heels, shoes and flats check", she said to herself as she packed the clothes, gifts, footwear into her luggage."Charger, check. Earphones, check. Visa, check. Passport, check. Ticket and boarding pass, check. I should keep these in my hand bag. I hope I didn't miss anything. Hmm..... No I guess. Okay! Time to get some sleep" as she said these she went to bed it was 12:30pm. She was so tired she went asleep immediately.
She woke up at 7pm in evening cooked dinner and had it. She got dressed for job around 8:15, she booked a taxi from home to airport since she was having luggages.
"Okay bye everyone. Please try to keep everything clean in this week! I'll be back after a week okay. Take care. Bye", she said standing at the door of the taxi where Anirudh, Hemanth, Sudeep and Sachin were standing around her.
"Bye. Happy journey", said all the guys to her.
"Thank you", said Kruthika as she sat in taxi,"Can anyone accompany me? I know I'm too late to ask. Please can anyone accompany me to the airport?"
"Sure I will", said Sachin and Sudeep together.
"Even I want to accompany you", said Anirudh.
"Okay you three can come. Hemanth are you sure you wanna stay here?", she asked to him.
"Yeah. And there's no seat for another person in taxi. You guys carry on", said Hemanth,"And I've some work. Bye. Once again happy journey"
Kruthika felt sorry for him but there was no way to take him to airport, since there was no extra seat she bid bye to him and asked the driver to go the airport.
"Be careful while you travel. Don't give unknown men your details. I know you know all these but... thought to remind to again", said Sachin, who was sitting beside driver.
"What do you think of her? She's not a child she know to take care of herself. I know that no one will ask for her phone number", said Anirudh.
"Oh why won't anyone ask for her phone number?", asked Sudeep.
"Because men only want beautiful woman's number not her's!", answered Anirudh again teasing her.
"Ani I think you won't get sleep at night unless teasing me. Do you?", said Kruthika. They reached the airport. "Okay. Bye guys meet you on May 3rd", she gave hand shake to them and entered the airport.
She kept her luggages near her cabin, and started to work. She got in conversation with pilots and guided them. One of the pilot started giving signs about him. She as usual didn't consider it, as her heart and soul was about tomorrow's flight and her visit to her country.
She didn't take any break through out the work, as she wanted to go the passenger's block and finish with boarding. She left the tower at 5:30 am in the morning and rushed to passenger block as quickly as possible, she finished the boarding and finally she was on her way back to India.
She couldn't resist herself on having thoughts about the wedding, she started to imagine every ritual I'm her head and thought about her past memories with Manasa.
It was hard for her to believe that she wouldn't get any one if she want to go to trips, she wouldn't have anyone to visit as closest friend in her home town. Thinking about this made her sad, but she moving forward she would be having a family within few years she would be mother a cute baby and I would get a chance to play with a baby. Her thoughts were as fast as a lightening bolt. She later fell asleep.
It's a approximately 10 hours of long journey from London Heathrow airport to Bangalore airport. She reached Bangalore at night, she took a train to reach Mysore, reached Mysore at early morning.
She reached friend's home.
