Chapter Three
"Why do I need to write my question in a paper when i can talk to you through this?" I asked looking at the drone in front of me waiting for my reply na sinusulat ko ngayon.
He was asking me if we can be friends. And of course we could! But i prefer something like 'more than friends'.
His name is Kelious Sawyer, we're already talking for a while now, I mean exchanging messages through a letter.
"If you have anyth to ask, write it down. Don't talk to the drone"
I rolled my eyes with what he said. Right! I should not loose my cool noh, nahuli nya akong nakatitig sakanya at kanina nya pa ako tinutukso doon. Na i have an interest on him or something, well that's true but im not dumb to tell him that!
Im not sure kung nakikita nya ba ako, maybe this drone has a camera on it and he's looking at me right now inside his room, wala na kasi sya sa labas e. So I need to make sure that i am calm at hindi halatang excited sa pag eexchange letters namin.
I wrote "I don't make friends with a stranger" then handed it to the drone infront of me and just like awhile ago lumabas ang kanyang metalic arm at kinuha ang papel then flew away from me.
My impression to him is very opposite to to his personality, now that i had the chance to chat with him. He looks so serious and cold whenever i see him in his rooms'varenda, i thought he's not that friendly, stiff and aloof but seeing his attitude now, he's way far from being a cold person.
He's a hella wierd person. I still dont get why he make me write my reply or questions to him. Nakakapagod kayang magsulat but since he's the one who's making me write, I'll consider it.
Hmm, Kelious Sawyer, maybe i should make a nickname for him right? Like an endearment that only i who calls him that. I snickered with that thought, were not even in any type of relationship yet this is what I am already thinking.
Ano kayang maganda?
Bumalik rinagad ang drone na may dalang papel
"You have my name so I not a stranger anymore" I read whats written in the paper
I rested my chin in the window and looked at the paper that Im holding.
"I have a question," I said still looking at the piece of paper, admiring his penmanship. So clean and neat.
"just write it down"
Simumangot ako sa ssagot nya, nakakatamad kayang maghintay ng reply nya .
"we can be friends if you'll answer question"
"Tigas ng ulo. Write it down so I can answer it."
I know, alam nya kung ano ang ibig kong sabihin, hes making fun of me.
"No, Ill ask right now then youll answer it right away, not in a pice of paper or something."
"Okay, okay. Ask away."
"What does people usually call you?"
"Why youd ask? Curious about me?" I blushed at his reply. Of course im curious about him.
"No, Im not, I dont even know you. Were not even close!" I denied, of course. And looked at the paper again then place it in the box at my left where his other letters are.
I heard him laugh at my reply na lalong nagpamula sa akin. Hes definitey making fun of me!
I liked him because I thought he was serious type of person, cold or something similar to the man I read before from a novel. The looks of him, he's one ideal fictional character kaya I started to have an interest on him, but now, I doubt that hes similar from that man.
He's far way better I think. I love this playful side of his.
I heard him cough before answering me, "So, why are you so red?" at tumawa ulit.
Kung may ikamumula pa man ako im sure im definitely red right now dahil sa sinabi nya. He can see me! How unfair! He can see me while I cant, ang unfair! Suguro nakikita nya ako through this drone. Gusto ko rin sya Makita! I also wanna see him laugh, if his laugh can make my heart go crazy for sure his smile can do more! I dont know, everything what he does, my heart always reacts, kahit na ang simpleng pagdating ng kanyang sulat ang kanyang boses. Everytime na naghihintay ako ng sulat, naeexcite ako at kinakabahan sa pwede nyang reply, kahit minsan nakakainis. I always imagine that if hell write back, the message would be something sweet or anything like banat, but all he did was to tease and make fun of me, nakaka inis pero my heart doesn't seem to be pissed at all.
Tumayo ako mula sa pagkakaupo and tried to grab the drone infront of me pero mabilis itong umiwas papunta sa kaliwa, sinubukan ko ulit syang hawakan pero umatras sya na hindi ko na abot.
"Stop, that. You might fall,"
Sabi nya then I looked down, nakatukod na ako sa bintana at mahuhulog na talaga ako if ill continue grabbing that drone.
Para akong si Repunzel sa Tangled, caged in a tall castle. Nasa pinakamataas na floor ako ng bahay and if Ill try to jump down I might die. Sinubukan ko rin yung pagdudugtong ng kumot but bantay sarado ako ni Jaxen. Nang nakita nyang tinatali ko yung kumot madali nyang pinunit isa isa. I even thought that Ill be sleeping with no blanket pero may nakatago syang kumot para magamit ko, I tried to look where he stored the blanket because he was able to change my bedsheets every week pero hindi ko mahanap. Minsan naisip ko nab aka nsa katawan nya nanaman but his body is too small para magkasya ang bedsheet at kumot dahil makapal iyon. Maybe we have a hidden room here somewhere. Yeah right.
Tumayo ako ng maayos at umirap sa drone, making sure na makikita nya ang ginawa ko.
Umupo ulit ako and rested my chin in the window, back to my position at tumingin sa bahay nya, to his rooms varenda, specifically.
Napaupo ako ng maayos nang when I saw him leaning at the railings outside his room looking at me with a smirk, as if hes teasing me. Making my heart jump.
"So, what is your question again?" I saw his lips moved when he spoke and I heard his voice at my side, ofcourse from the drone.
Hes wearing an eyeglass! He looked even hotter than ever! So breathtaking. He looks like a nerd, god like nerd it is.
Tumikhim ako at kinalma ang sarili.
"Nevermind. I change my mind I dont wanna be friends with you." I answered rolling my eyes.
"Just kidding," at tumawa sya, and I made sure na nakatingin ako sakanya habang tumatawa sya, I think my heart just melt with those smiles. Shit.
"People call me, Kelious, ofcoures but my friends call me Eli," Tumango naman ako sa sinabi nya.
"So, were friends now right?" tumango nalang ulit ako, though I prefer something like more than friends relationship.
"Can I call you Klous, then?"
"I am starting to think that you have a crush on me, Alana" Hearing him say my name is making me crazy! It feels different hearing him saying it.
Think whatever makes you happy,
"Very well then."
Hindi ko na alam kung anong sasabihin sakanya so I just stared at him at ganon rin sya sa akin,
Geez, this man is so handsome and naughty, I wonder what hes like as a boyfriend?
God! Why am I even thinking about him as a boyfriend! Nakakahiya. I looked away from him dahil sa ramdam ko ang pag init ng mukha, para atleast takpan ang mukha ko. Nakakhiya!
"Youre red again, what are you thinking hmm? Thinking about me?" he teased.
"Shut up, assumero. Mainit lang, sira ang aircon"
"yeah right" he said na mukhang hindi naniniwala sa sinabi ko.
How can he see so clearely kahit na sobrang layo naman naming sa isat isa? I thought he can see me with this drone but how? Hes not even carrying anything like a tablet or anything that can monitor me. And how can he transfer his voice? Wala man lang syang mike or anything that can transport his voice from this distance.
"as much as I want to talk to you, I have work to do. Talk to later, see yah beautiful."
I was a bit disappointed kasi mapuputol ang pag uusap naming but he called me beautiful. I think I have butterflies in my flying and going crazy.
He waved at me at tumalikod na, at sumabay na rin ang drone na lumipad pabalik sa bahay.
Tumayo na rin ako at bumalik papasok at tumalon pahiga sa kama. I never felt this much emotion before and never been this happy since I woke up.
He was a tease and naughty, he also made me pissed but why do I still like him, I even liked him more right now?
Is it because "he's so handsome? "
"Who?" I almost jumped nang may nagsalita sa tabi ko. Its was just Jaxen Carrying food, meryenda para sa akin.
Did a said it loudly?
"Do you know the man who lives next door?" he nodded then placed the tray of food sa table na nasa kaliwa. "He is," I said then looked at the ceiling, hands up then I imagined his face and used my fingers to draw him, his jaw, smiling lips, eyes and that pointed nose.
"Wait you know him?" I stopped when I realized that at tumingin sakanya. "How did you know him?"
He paused before answering me, "He's your neighbor, I see him every day because I always see you stealing glances."
Geez, am I that obvious?
"Is he really handsome? Do you like him?" why does he sound so curious? Ngayon lang ako naka encounter na chismosong robot. I looked at him curiously, "Chismoso, are you even a robot? Para kang maid ng kapitbahay naming dati," I remembered the maid of our neighbor nong bata pa ako, sobrang chismosa, I was playing alone outside one time, pumasok kasi si Daddy sa loob para kumuha ng pagkain when she approached me, telling me to becareful kasi daw si Daddy is doing something suspicious. I know my daddy is a good person and ofcourse he wont do anything suspicious.
"Wag mo nalang sagutin" natawa ako nang tumalikod sya, hes the one who looks suspicious.
