Chapter 70: Aaradhana in danger
Arjun goes to the room and sees Aaradhana was lying down unconscious.
Arjun - Aaru, what happened. Why are you lying unconsious.
Suddenly Aaradhana vomits white colour being unconscious
Arjun sees snake bite mark in her leg.
Aaradhana ( breathing her last breath) - I can't stay with you anymore. Because I couldn't complete pooja. Arj....un Arjun....
Aaradhana closes her eyes
Arjun wakes up from the dream. He checks time it is 7.00 AM in morning
Arjun slaps himslef
Arjun - Aaru is fasting and doing pooja for you being awake , how can you get sleep. Aaru...is she alright.
Arjun runs inside the temple and sees Aaradhana walking with much difficulty.
Aaradhana spots Arjun with half closed eyes
Arjun sees Aaradhana injured leg and gets teary eyes.
Arjun tries to get in but Aaradhana stops her
Aaradhana - I have to do pooja for 10 more lingam still. Don't come in.Then all my efforts will be in vain
Priest comes there and gets shocked seeing Aaradhana trying to walk with much difficulty.
Another nail get pierced in her leg.
Aaradhana shouts while removing it and Arjun cries . He hits the wall with force and his hand bleeds
Arjun sees Priest
Arjun - Aiyaa , I trusted you and God Shiva and left my wife here. When I came there were no nails, how did it come now? I don't care about the custom. If it goes like this, I will be alive but she'll be dead. I can't leave without her. I have to save my wife
Priest - Son, I know how you feel but if you go now all the sacrifice your wife did will be in vain. Don't go in
Arjun - Then should I see my Aaru dying in front of me..
Arjun sees Priest holding a basket of flowers mala's. He takes mala and throw at Aaradhana path way. Aaradhana walks on the flower mala. Arjun and Priest throws mala on her pathway . No more nails pierced her leg. Aaradhana completes the pooja successfully. and falls in the ground
Arjun runs to the room
Arjun wakes Aaradhana
Aaradhana - Arjun, I completed the pooja successfully.
Arjun hugs her
Arjun - yaa . You completed successfully. Come lets go.
Aaradhana sees Arjun hand gets teary eyed.
Aaradhana holds Arjun wrist
Aaradhana (semi consious)- Arju..n , how ?
Arjun takes her hand and kissed it
Arjun (wiping her tears )- Aaru , no .. I am perfectly alright . Its not paining . Dont cry . Come let's go to hospital.
Arjun carries her and Aaradhana falls unconsious
Priest - Son , dont worry your love will save her .
Arjun - Aiyaa, is there hospital near by
Priest - No son , but my home is near by. My wife knows Ayurvedic medicine. We'll go there
Arjun - Thank you Aiyaa.
Priest directs Arjun to his home.
Priest tell his wife "Poongothai " to treat Aaradhana.
Poongothai checks unconsious Aaradhana and her wound . She puts some ayurvedic medicine to her wounds and starts thinking.
Arjun - Amma , what happened ?
Poongothai - Dear, its necessary to bring her consious first , then only the medicine will work completely. Jaya ( Rupali's person - Poongothai daughter in law ) bring some sweetened milk
Jaya comes with sweetened and shocked to see Aaradhana there.
Jaya - What if the girl gets consious and what will happen to me if she tell others that she know me before. Surely uncle and aunty and her husband will scold me for not informing them about her injured leg. I must do something. Should I mix poison in milk . No no aunty will find it.
Poongathai (shouts)- Jaya , what are you doing still?
Jaya - Coming aunty.
Jaya comes there with sweetened milk
Poongothai sees Aaradhana whisphering something being unconsious
Poongothai leans close to her and hears Aaradhana telling "Arjun hand blood .. Arjun...Arjun..."
Poongothai sees Arjun's hand bleeding
Poongothai - Son your wife is worried about you even in her unconsious state. Your wife loves you more than her life . You must done something good in the previous life so that you got her as your life partner.
Arjun gets teary eyed.
He holds Aaradhana hands tightly and carsess it
Arjun - Aaru , I am alright. Nothing happened to me. Drink this milk first
Poongothai tries to feed her but Aaradhana tells the same , "Arjun ...hand .....blood"
Poongothai - Son , your wife will not eat until your hand is treated. I'll put medicine on your hand and you feed her yourself.
Arjun - Yes amma.
Poongothai treats his hand and does bandage. Once his wound is dressed he quickly grabs the milk glass
He carress Aaradhana face
Arjun - Aaru , I treated my hand like you wished. Now fulfill my wish . I cant live without you. Drink this milk now
Arjun feeds her milk slowly . He then takes her head and places in his lap. Arjun carsses her face.
It became 3 pm
Aaradhana gets consious gradually.
As soon she gets consious she calls Arjun...
Arjun - I am with you only . I will not allow anything to happen to you.
Aaradhana gets teary eyed...
Aaradhana carsses Arjun's face. He holds her and hand and keeps it in his chest
Arjun - Aaru I may be looking like man of steel from physically , but my heart is so weak . I cant see you in this state. Get well soon.
Aaradhana smiles and she vomits the milk and goes unconsious again
Arjun gets shocked and pats her cheeks "Aaru wake up. "
Poongothai - As she was fasting for whole day and got injured ,her body doesnt accept any food.
Jaya (in mind) - How will it accept I mixed a medicine that will make her to vomit after 4-5 hours. And you cant find that athai.
Arjun remembers "Aaradhana doesnt like milk"
Arjun - Amma do you have mangoes
Poongothai - Yes son. Jaya , make juice out of mangoes
Jaya ( in mind ) - My brother brought mangoes for me . Now i have to give that too... I'll mix rat poison in her juice . Even if aunty finds I'll pretend that I dont know. If I kill her with myslef and will get lump amount from Rupali madam
Jaya tries to go. Arjun stops her
Arjun - Amma, shall I make it myself.
Jaya - Why dont you trust us ? Will I mix poison in juice
Arjun - Madam it's not like that . Dont mistake me. Aaradhana is now in this state because me . I like to serve her myself . That's why
Jaya - You are our guest . I will only make juice for her
Poongothai - Jaya dont stop him. I am sure his wife will drink juice if it's made by her husband. Because it is drink made with love. Show him Kitchen.
As Poongothai said Jaya directs him to kitchen and gives him mangoes
Jaya applies colourless poison in the knife without his notice
Arjun - Madam can you pass me knife.
Jaya - Yaa
Jayaa gives him knife and leaves from there
Jaya ( in mind ) - Aaradhana , you are so lucky. You are going to die by the hands of the person for whom you kept fasting and did pooja. I gave you a slow poison mix . You'll be dying in 2 hrs. You'll start vommiting blood in 30 mins
Before cutting the mango with the knife, Arjun sees that knife is oily.
Arjun - What is this oily thing? I think these people will add some ayurvedic thing even in the utensils. I am sure this oil will taste bitter. But my Aaru will not eat bitter mango. What if she vomits again due to bitteeness. It would be bad for her health. So lets wash the knife first.
He washes the knife well with soap water. And the poison goes off.
He then cuts the mango with knife and blends the pulp and makes it juice.
He runs to Aaradhana with juice and feeds her.
Aaradhana drinks it. It became 8 and she didnt vomit this time
Jaya - How did she didnt vomit blood still ?
She goes to kitchen and checks the knife . She gets to know that Arjun washed the knife as she couldnt smell anything like poison.
Jaya - This girl is so lucky . She's getting escaped each time.
Poongothai - Arjun , your wife is fine now . she'll be alright in few hours .Let her rest
Arjun - Ok amma.
Arjun starts getting dizzy , as he even didnt eat anything from yesterday
Poongothai - Arjun what happened?
Arjun - I didnt eat anything from yesterday .as she kept fast for me I also did fasting for her.
Poongothai - Dear eat something .Wait i'll prepare something for you to eat
Arjun - No amma , I'll drink the mango juice which she drank.
Poongothai gives him a glass of mango juice.
Arjun gets mango juice. He doesnt like the smell.
Poongothai - Son , I could clearly see that you dont like mango juice. You dont have to drink forcelly , I'll prepare you other dish for you to eat.
Arjun - No amma. Thank you. She did everything for me. She sacrificed many thing for me . She always forces me to drink mango juice, but I avoided as I dont like smell of mango but She loves mangoes lot. I want her likes to be my likes.
Poongothai - You guys are made for each other.
Arjun - Yes amma.
Arjun drinks the mango juice with much difficulty.
Poongothai goes to her room and bring some clothes
Poongothai - Son , here are some clothes. Get freshened up. I 'll give towel bath to your wife and change her clothes
Arjun - Ok amma.
Arjun comes out after bathing while Poongothai finishes changing Aaradhana clothes
Poongothai - Son , let her rest for few hours. You also take some rest. I kept some mango juice here .Drink and feed her too
Poongothai leaves them alone .
Arjun - I should inform Poorva amma or they'll get worried.
Arjun checks his cell phone and sees 70 missed calls
Arjun calls Poorva , Poorva scolds him for not attending the call
Arjun ( in mind ) - I cannot tell about thing happened to Aaru or they'll get worried
Poorva - Arjun answer me
Arjun - Amma my phone and purse were pick pocket .We found it now only .Amma we'll come home tomorrow only
Poorva - You are fine right ? How is Rani?
Arjun - Amma we are fine. I'll come home tomorrow with your Rani
Poorva - I want to speak to Rani
Arjun - Your Rani is sleeping . ButI'll wake her up for you
Poorva - No no let her rest. She must be tired of doing fasting. I'll call later.
Poorva ends the call.
Arjun lays next to her and grabs her hand
Arjun - Promise me that you'll takecare of yourself also. You should not leave me alone .Because I cant live without you
Arjun kisses her forehead .
Arjun - I love you so much Aaru. Love you more than myself
Arjun hugs her and sleeps.
In middle of night Aaradhana starts to shiver.
Arjun gets up and checks her that she has severe fever.
He takes wet towel and keeps in her forehead. He covers her with her more blanket .
He watches her till her fever is gone . He checks the time it was 5 am in the morning.
He then sleeps next to her.
