Chapter 21: Mehendi
Arjun
My mind was not with me ,The scene of how Aara kissed me repeated in my mind .
Then amma came near me and pinched my ear and said,"You don't like to attend those function in the past. What happened with you now. And today you even disguised as woman and attend the function.Is this something related to Rani(Aara)"
I couldn't stop blushing I told her, "Don't tease me amma"
My amma said,"I didnt knew that I will get to see my son blushing someday. When you brought Rupali to home,I thought you'll marry her. Because you don't like medium sized girls and you dont like girls wearing specs.What happened now"
I told "Ofcourse I don't like fat girls and girls who wear specs. But you know what ?my fatty is different.I don't know when I started falling for her.But each time I see her, I couldn't control my feelings. Amma ,can you promise me not to tell anyone .I know she has feeling for me.But I want her to confess to me on her own."
She then asked,"Then why are teasing her like that"
I said ,"I don't know why.But I enjoy making fun of her.Even if she confess her love,I 'll not stop teasing her. Teasing her makes my day"
when amma was about to leave ,"Amma keep this Boogy in her room.Don't tell that I gave her.Just keep it in her room"
After dinner I went to rooftop to get some fresh air . I saw Aaru there and she was hugging Boogy.
I thought ,"How dare you boogy.That's not your place .That's my place"
Once I went near her and cleared my throat she removed the hug and started wipping her face.
I sat next to her and mocked her,"Players will sweat while playing in the court .but you are sweating even while sitting idle"
She faked her smile and said ,"Is that so"
Then I saw burnt mouth of Boogy. Controlling my temper I asked,"Aaradhana I didn't think you have a weird taste.The toy has body of pig and face as bunny. Its cute but why it's mouth is burnt"
Touching boogy mouth and controlling her tears she said,"Arjun you know what,I think the toy is similar to me by looks.Even the toy has a mole in right forehead like me. Accidentally straightener fell on toy's mouth and it got burnt."
I thought "It might not be accident for sure.I think someone did wantedly and warned her .And she knows who is that person. But why she's not taking person name ?. Once I find the culprit I'll definitely take revenge for boogy"
I took boogy from her hands
I said,"No matter how the toy look.Its still cute and pretty in my eyes .Did you keep name for the toy"
She said "Not yet. Shall we call it is buglet no no ,pignny no,what about boogy. We'll call this as Boogy "
(I was very Happy as she kept the same name ' Boogy ')
I said, "Ok Aaradhana .lend me boogy to me .I'll give it to you tomorrow"
she said "Ok"
And we went back to bed.
Rupali
I came to one room for changing clothes. I saw a toy which was having bunny face and pig body. It resembled Aaradhana very much.Its mouth remainds me how she kissed Arjun.I was feeling like burning its mouth. So I took my straightener and started heating it.
Suddenly Aaradhana came.I hided myself in the cupboard.I heared the conversation between her and her chinamma.I felt pity that she's living such a miserable life. But I cannot give up Arjun because of that.The person whom I can trust is her chinamma.Though she is self centred, with her help I can marry Arjun.Once my marriage is complete ,I'll show her her place
I went to her, convincing her was an easy task.I told her ,"Aunty I know you want to Anitha as your daughter in law.If you help me in my marriage with Arjun , I'll convince him to get Anitha married to Sanjay.Don't think wrong about me aunty ,You are so decent but your daughter comes as a third wheel in my love life.Tell her not to do like that.And after my marriage my shares will become Arjun's and after sanjay and anitha marriage,sanjay can become partner to us.All these things only happen if I marry Arjun ,help me please"
she said ,"Then it's a deal"
Arjun
I will not spare the people who done this to Boogy and who made Aara to cry.
I started repairing boogy mouth.I repaired its mouth and I gave a pink shade to its lips.
I want to see her face reaction when boogy is repaired.It has a cuter face than before.
Morning
All girls where preparing for mehendi. In India mehendi colour on bride hand indicate love of groom for his bride.If colour is bright red or maroon it means groom love his bride a lot ,if it is black then groom hates his bride and if it is orange or mild orange then it means groom hardly loves his bride.
Usually in bride's hand groom name or his starting letter will be hidden. If the groom able to find his name or starting letter from his bride's it means he'll find a solution and keep her safe from all loop holes and problems.
Unlike haldi in some areas gents are also allowed in mehendi.
In Arjun family gents are allowed in mehendi
Aaradhana
As I am good in applying mehendi,Poorva athai asked me to apply mehendi in Uma akka hands.
All these while Rahul(Uma akka groom)
was there next to her.As Rahul was staring Uma akka's face,I was able to hide his name in her mehendi without his notice
Rahul asked me, "Aaradhana apply mehendi for me also.I want to know how my bride loves me"
I looked at Poorva athai if I can apply. As she signalled "ok",I applied him mehendi hiding Uma akka name
I applied mehendi to madhu and many other ladies.Then chinamma asked me to apply it for Rupali
I asked Rupali,"Tell me the person's first letter for whom you wanted to apply mehendi"
She said "A"
I cursed myself,"You know she'll tell A.Then why did you ask her"
I applied mehendi on Rupali hand.Though I applied mehendi for many ladies ,I couldn't apply it on her.(As I am writing the first letter of person I love in her hand)
Once I completed and about to get up Arjun pulled my hand and asked me to apply mehendi on his left hand
I looked for Poorva athai again.She signalled "Ok"
I asked Arjun "Tell me the person's first letter for whom you wanted to apply mehendi "
Before his reply Poorva athai said "R . he likes the person who's name begins with R"
I looked at Arjun face for seeing his reaction he signalled "Super" with his right hand.
Then chinamma came near me and said "Even Arjun loves Rupali and his mother know about this.She said 'R' which means Rupali.Even Poorva want Rupali to be her daughter in law.So don't come in their way"
(I thought of my close moments with Arjun.Then Poorva athai words "Will you be my daughter in law".Tears started to come out from my eyes but I some how controlled it.)
Arjun in cold voice"What are you thinking.Apppy mehendi now"
After applying him mehendi when I was about to get up Uma akka stopped me,"Sorry Aaradhana. As you were busy in applying mehendi to others you didn't get to apply."
I said "It's ok akka.I am not in mood to apply mehendi anyways"
Suddenly Arjun held my hand ,"Mehendi is applied on every ladies attend the function.Being a family member you also should get it applied. Am I right amma" he pointed Poorva athai.she said "You are right Arjun.But who will apply mehendi on her.See all the ladies are having mehendi in their hand"
Looking all the ladies hand,Arjun said "As all ladies are having mehendi in their hand.You have to get it done by me.As only my right hand is free"
After applying mehendi for half of my hands he asked "Tell me the person's first letter for whom you want to apply mehendi"
I saw chinamma who was warning me with her eyes
Getting no reply he said ,"Fine.You'll be the only girl without any letter written in mehendi".
After applying he said Uma akka "She is also having mehendi in her hands now.Now smile"
Uma akka "you are the best brother in the world"
Then he left the function hall.
Then I saw my mehendi which was without any characters .
Rupali came near me and checked my me and said "See Arjun loves me only.Dont come in our way."
I thought, "Aara she is right.There is no true love in your fate.You are fated to get fake love from others"
