Chapter Two
The next morning my mom woke me up at around 6 to get ready for our flight at 9. She said Tia and I will be staying for a week while she stays until tomorrow because she has to work, so I, being extra as always, packed a suitcase with enough clothes for me to move in with. I called Tia and told her to pack enough clothes for at least a week, and with her being extra like me, I'm just knowing she's going to overpack.
I got up and went into the bathroom to do my daily hygiene routine. I bathed in my vanilla scented body wash and washed my hair in my vanilla scented shampoo and conditioner. I even took the time to shave which I had to kind of rush to do. I shouldn't have rushed because I ended up frickin cutting myself with the razor I don't know how many frickin times. When I got out of the shower I went to my closet and picked out an outfit to wear on the plane. I grabbed a pair of baggy grey sweatpants and a white tank top and put them on. I put on a pair of black Nike slides and put my long black hair into a ponytail. I didn't bother to put any makeup on so I just grabbed my shades and my suitcase, and waited for my mom and Tia downstairs. I checked the time and it said 7:52 . I walked into the kitchen and made myself some breakfast. I ate two pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and grits.
It was 8:30 when Tia walked through my front door with her stuffed suitcase. She had on jean shorts and a cute halter top with sandals. Her even longer hair is also in a ponytail. She didn't do her makeup either so we both were in the same compartment. I checked the time and it's 8:35 so I called my mom to hurry up before we miss our flight. She instantly ran down the stairs with her suitcase. We walked to the garage and took her car, a new Toyota Camry.
We arrived inside the airport with 5 minutes until boarding time. After giving them our suitcases we sat down on the plane. I folded myself in the chair to get comfortable enough to go to sleep, but the chair was so dang straight I couldn't lay down! I decided to just lay my head on Tia's shoulder to go to sleep.

4 and a Half Hours later
I woke up to my mom tapping me and saying we have landed in New York. I felt goosebumps on my skin because I haven't been here since almost 4 years ago. Would people remember me ? Would my ex bestfriend Lucas, whom I haven't forgotten about, remember me ? We grabbed our things and walked into the airport. After getting our suitcases we called for a cab to take us to the hotel we will be staying at.
The cab ride was awful. The traffic here is just as bad as I remember. We were stuck in traffic for almost an hour. We finally reached the hotel, grabbed our things and went inside. I checked the time and it's almost 2 o'clock. I have to be at the University in 2 hours to check out my dorm room and get use to staying there.
When we got to our hotel rooms we decided to freshen up and chill until it was time to go to the University. I went and took a shower to wake up from the slight Jet lag I had. After the shower, I chose an outfit to go to the University and look around in. I went for a simple but cute look since I doubt there will be anymore students around.
After putting on my outfit, I went to my moms room, where she and Tia were.
Mom: So, Are you both excited?! You'll be living here for the next Four years for college, so you have to get use to it again.
Tia: I'm very excited ! After checking out our dorms, we should go look around the city. Maybe to some Malls.
"Yeah , I kind of remember some places ." I said
We continued talking until it was 3:02 and we decided to leave for the University.
We arrived at the University at 4:00 sharp. Traffic is a real pain in the ass, I tell you. We arrived to the office and talked with the head of the school (Mrs. Wilson) and she asked us some questions about our dorm living styles.
Mrs. Wilson: Would you like a regular two person dorm, penthouse or an apartment ?
Tia: How many people stay in the penthouse ?
Mrs. Wilson: Well in our penthouses there are 6 roommates. These are all co-ed living styles, meaning that both genders can live together.
My mom: Is that what you guys want ? If you get an apartment, you'll have your own space and privacy.
Me: Mom it's fine, I think the penthouse will teach us a lot. Plus we need some friends around here.
Tia: Josie it's fine, really. This will be a great experience for us. And if we don't like it, we can change in the future right Mrs. Wilson ?
Mrs. Wilson: Of course you can. If you have any problems or concerns with your living arrangements we will surely take care of it for you.
Mom: Well Okay, if you girls are sure. They'll take a penthouse please.
They discussed the cost of everything and my mom paid for the penthouse.
Mrs. Wilson: Great ! I will get Miss Adams to show you to your penthouse. She is the counselor of this University.
She called Miss Adams and she is now on her way to show us to our new penthouse.
When she arrived, she took us to another building. The entire building only has two penthouses so we walked to one side and Miss Adams took out the keys to the penthouse.
Miss Adams: Here are both of your keys to your penthouse, please take care of them. If you lose them there will be a few to replace them.
I grabbed my key and inserted it into the door. When I opened the door I opened my eyes wide. It's so beautiful inside like OMG!
I stepped inside and looked around the detailed living room. I walked around and I frickin LOVE the kitchen already. I continued looking around and came to a chillout place. It looks peaceful to just hang and watch tv. Everyone can come in here and have movie nights tehehe.
Tia: OMG Jade I Love this place. It's so beautiful hereee!!
Me: I know right ! I think I'm going to live here forever.
Mom: It is a nice place. Miss Adams, when should they start moving in ?
Miss Adams: Well everyone usually starts like a month before school starts. They can start moving in now.
Me: I'M GOING TO GO PICK MY ROOM !!
I walked around the place and went towards the back where I assume the bedrooms are. I opened the first door and seen a big cozy looking bedroom.
Me: I FOUND MY ROOM !
Tia walked in and her jaw dropped.
Tia: Awww no fair ! I'm going to go pick mine.
After she left I went over to the bed and laid down. It's so COMFY! I looked around the room and saw a door. I walked over to the door and opened it to reveal a very big bathroom.
I'm never leaving this room. I'm so in love with it.
I walked out of my room and looked at the other rooms. They were all big like mine with big bathrooms. Tia's room is even bigger. It's the biggest out of all of the rooms.
Tia: I wanna move in right now. Seriously
Mom: Jade and Tia come back to the living room please
We walked back to the living room and we told her we wanna start moving in now.
Miss Adams: That's fine, you both can start today or whenever you would like. You can move in whenever you're ready. Your other roommates are also moving in soon.
Tia: We're going to go shopping today and get more clothes and things. We'll meet our other roommates whenever they get here. We'll be back !
We left the building and Tia and I caught a cab for a Mall. My mom went back to the hotel to take a nap. Tia and I both have our own cards that are connected to our parents' accounts. We arrived at the mall named Brookefield Place. There were so many people Tia and I could barely walk 10 steps without someone almost stepping on us. We walked into some stores for housing to buy some decor for the penthouse.
After buying some decor and fragrances for the house, we walked into some clothing stores. 15 shopping bags later, we decided that would be enough for today and went back to our penthouse.
When we arrived back to the penthouse, we noticed a paper on our door. It has 6 names on it, including mine and Tia's under the title "Residing Here"

Lucas Colton ?? LUCAS COLTON ?! Holy flap jacks, that's my ex bestfriend. And he's going to be living here with me. Tia grabbed the paper and looked over it.
Tia: Isn't this the name of your ex bestfriend ?
I nodded my head slowly and grabbed the key to open the door to the penthouse. I opened the door and walked in with the bags we got from shopping. When I walked into the living room, I saw 3 figures on the couch. They were watching tv with their backs to Tia and I, but I could tell they were guys. One had dreads, one had waves, and the other had a low haircut. I dropped the bags, with an exception of the bag with glass in it. The guys immediately turned around and looked at Tia and I. They stood up and started talking amongst themselves while looking at us. They were all tall compared to my 5'2 height and Tia's 5'5 height. One of them has to be Lucas so I looked over all of them to try to fit his face in with theirs, but I couldn't make a match. They're all very good looking tho
The one with the dreads spoke to us first.
Dread head: Hi, are you Tia, Aria, or Jade ?
Me: Yes. I'm Jade. This is Tia.
Dread head: Oh Hi, I'm Jacob Hilson.
He walked up to us and was about to shake my hand but I pulled him into a hug.
Me: I'm a hugger .
He chuckled and hugged me back. He pulled away and hugged Tia. The other two guys walked up and spoke to us.
Guy with waves: Hi, i'm Trey .
He smiled and walked up and hugged me.
Trey: I heard you're a hugger.
I smiled and hugged him back. He gives me brotherly vibes.
The last guy walked up and looked at me. He has to be Lucas. He looks so much different now. His long hair is cut, and his glasses are gone. He's also much taller. He's like 6'3 maybe ..?
Lucas: Hey Jade. It's been a long time.
