Chapter 2: 02. The story behind
Her head hurt so badly. She slowly opened her eyes and saw a strange room. ''Huh? Where am I?''
Suddenly a pain in her head intensified. The feeling of thousands on needles passed through her whole body and she felt like every bone on her body was broken as she had no strength to move but pain existed.
She felt dizzy and darkness suddenly enveloped her. Suddenly a young woman appeared in front of her. ''Sorry. I just can't live this life again?''
''Again?''
''Yes.'' A sigh escaped woman's lips.
Xiaoqing looked at the young woman and smiled at her. ''You reincarnated into your own body?''
The woman blinked at her in wonder. ''How did you know?''
Now was time for Xiaoqing to sigh. ''I was very sick for a while and the only thing I did is to read books and watch movies.''
''What is a movie?'' The young woman looked at her curiously.
Just then Li Xiaoqing realized that the way the young woman wore her clothes must have been from a long time ago.
Beautiful multilayered dress with big flowers dropped around her body and silky hair freely flowing down her back with just few cute accessories. On her sash was bound a small sachet and waist accessory and in hand, she held tightly a cute silk handkerchief.
Actually her face was not very striking as she had an unusual style of makeup, to say it nicely. If its honestly, the makeup on her face made her look mediocre even tho she had nice proportions. Big eyes, small pointy nose, small but full lips and two dimples when she spoke could be seen from time to time.
Probably when she smiled they would be seen pronouncedly. She curiously looked at her up and down and sighed. ''The only problem on you is that mess of colours. If you change your makeup, you can become quite beautiful, you know?''
The young woman calmly shook her head. ''I don't want. There is something you should know. I died in anger. And when I reincarnated, many things made me faint in anger again. To live this life I am truly not willing.''
Li Xiaoqing went silent for a moment then smiled at her. ''Explain to me the situation and then we might find a way for you.''
She shook her head and smiled brightly. ''No need to explain anything. When I reincarnated and before fainting I saw a star on the sky shining brightly and asked Gods to help me, so they send you. My mother and father are not bad people, but the problem is, we are not the main branch, so many things they can't decide completely alone. I know that, so that is the reason that I can't do this again. My Mother's mother is waiting for me, look...''
An older woman with a caring smile looked at them from not far away. ''She said that by mistake I reincarnated and if I want I can live again. But to tell you the truth, I had this life once, I just will go to the other world with her and forget what happened here. When you enter my body all my memories will be shown to you and you can decide what you want to do with your life. Now I got to go...''
She was about to leave when Li Xiaoqing stopped her. ''Wait, this is your body. Do you know what are you doing?''
The young woman floated towards her and smiled at her. ''You made just tiny mistake right now. This is your body and your life now. Live it. Goodbye, my little star.'' Slowly she floated to the older woman and then they disappeared in sparks of light.
Li Xiaoqing stood there in the darkness and sighed. ''And now what?''
Suddenly a whole movie started playing in front of her eyes. She almost wished to have some snacks as she looked at the happenings. Literally, like in some of the books she read.
First miss of Lee family was actually the oldest daughter of the first branch and extremely beautiful woman. Lee Zhenzhen... She had it all. The looks, the walk, the talk and even her friendly nature made everyone literally love her. Parents and the whole family adored her and only second miss of Lee family seemingly hated her to the bone. Inside the movie like memories, she could see Zhenzhen running after the little girl and always bringing her sweets and pastries while she would trow fit why she had so many and why her family is so rich.
Xiaoqing just shook her head as she could see the whole family trying, really trying to help a little girl feel a bit happier but as she grew her greed grew as well. Zhenzhen's grandfather from the maternal side was from old Chen family. Her background from both sides was heavy so when the time came to search for her new life partner her family chose the young noble of Wei family. Wei Deming.
He was a calm man that had always smile on his face but Li Xiaoqing didn't like that smile. He was one of the people that smiled at anyone. One day the owner of this body felt her heart race for the young man and did all she could to get his attention but how can she fight arranged marriage.
The whole family saw her throwing fit as she realized that she had absolutely no chance and wanted to become his concubine. With shrug, he accepted it but not the Lee family. To save their face they married her to young general Heng Guowei.
The whole city knew she was in love with Wei Deming so when she got married her husband told her that she didn't have to be worried that he will touch her, ever. He brought only one woman into his household and had children with her and she as the main wife just adopted them. Strangely she never really looked at his face.
She disliked his tall and burly build, his strong deep voice and even his loud laughter. From the first day to last day she felt sorry for herself and when she died in old age surrounded with respectful children that are not hers and grandchildren that cried sour tears for her she finally was relieved never to be with him again.
Then everything stopped and she just opened her eyes. Headache stopped, pains topped and she blinked curiously. ''That was it? That is the reason? Whoa, I might be crazy but this woman is much crazier than I am. Becoming someone's concubine?''
Just as she said these words a young girl jumped into her room with a happy smile on her face and hugged her tightly. ''Finally, you are awake!''
