Chapter 3: 4 years
it has been 4 years now,and they are in 9th grade,mia and jack haven't talked to each other for about a whole year,mia gets really shy around jack,and hides when she sees him,jack noticed,and he found it quite cute.all mia's friends and teacher know that she has a crush on jack,so she gets teased a lot,she keeps sayi ng that they won't be together,but when she tells then about some of their interactions at daycare,everyone keeps saying that jack also likes her,but mia doesn't want to get her hopes up,so she says nothing.
mia has a special power where she can see some parts of the future connected to people important to her.
lately she has been having strange dreams about zombies,and to be safe,she told her family and they said that they had also had similar dreams, but from mia's estimation,they have about 2 full years,so they all started training,and her dad bought a lot of guns,and melee weapons.currently,mia is worrying about why she keeps thinking about both jack and london,she has noticed that her eyes drift towards London sometimes,but she taught it was just because she likes jack.
At home
Mia:"I feel like someone is watching me"
when she said that,London and jack who were spying on her with the help of their powers were stunned,but her next words stunned them even more
Mia:"oh well,but it must be hard on jack and london,imagine being half vampire and half dragon,but lucky for them their dragon side cancels all the bad parts if being a vampire,and likewise,they could be considered the most powerful super natural,the only people they can't beat would probably be the very old dragons,and even then they don't have long to live"
jack and London who heard her were ssurprised,and they both looked at each other with shock in their eyes,they wondered how she knew,because they are one hundred percent sure that she is human,also even their best friends only know that their vampires and not dragons because of the school they go to Being a vampire school,even the principle didn't sense their dragon side,since it perfectly blended with their vampire side,and what shocked them even more is that by her tone she has known this since day one,yet she could still manage to fall in love with jack.
Mia:"by estimations,the so called apocalypse should be here in about 6months,well luckily we are as prepared as we can be"
London and mia were still in shock over her earlier words and didn't quite catch her other words
The next day at school,during lunch,jack came towards mia's little group
jack:"mia,can I talk to you"
mia was flustered and said sure,while her friends and jacks friends when cooing them.
mia:"w-what did you want to talk about"
jack:"I wanted to ask if you will be my girlfriend"
mia:"s-sure,but why"
jack:"just like you,I also fell in love with you at first sight,o just didn't make it obvious,I always wanted to tell you,but I wasn't sure on how you'd be like when I told you I wasn't human,then I heard what you said yesterday so I wasn't worried"
mia:"w-what,you were the one stalking me yesterday"
jack"yeah"
mia:"w-why?"
jack:"I was going to stimulate you during your sleep and see how you would react towards me being a vampire"
mia:"oh that,well when I first saw you,i guess your emotions went a bit out of control,because your left eye was yellow with a purple slit,and your right eye was a wineish red,and I just had this feeling that you weren't human,and I always believe in my instincts"
jack:"so even though you saw all that and had a non human feeling from me,you still dared to fall in love with me"
mia:"i mean why not"
jack then hugged mia,and gave her a kiss on the forehead,they went back inside holding hands,and all mia's friends were cheering,which caused mia to lower her head in embarrasment
