EPISODE 37: Terror Island!*
Anger, exasperation, fury, so intertwined that perhaps their names are aught to reflect the origins of those emotions. I don't feel like my normal self, for all I want to do is to rematch and battle that trainer again. I remember my defeat with Red, and it would be embarrassing in another trainer like him defeats me too, which already happened. While Virgo calmly reads her book atop her, I walk in circles with my four Pokemons staring at me.
"Luna, you do know by walking in circles, you're only wasting your energy right?" Virgo starts to notice me. She flips a page from the book she and her three Pokemons are currently reading then tilts down towards me.
"I know. I just can't forget the image of that trainer who defeated us yesterday."
"They're not called trainers for nothing," Virgo speaks, with her voice intoned.
"I know, but... When I battled him, I felt like I was battling Red, the trainer who is dreaded by every agent and grunt. Even I, fear him. Imagine, what if Ethan becomes the next champion, what would Team Rocket be?" I point out, continuing to circle around the floor.
However, my anger fades when suddenly Professor Olive knocks on our doors, bringing good news. Her smile is as those of a crescent moon, bright and lustrous. I sense the feeling, she has the urge to beam with full exuberance. Beside her, is Charlotte, seemingly happy like the professor. Our mind is boggled, wondering the reason for their sudden burst of ecstasy.
"Agent Luna, Agent Virgo-"
"A... Agent?! I'm promoted to an agent?!" Virgo interrupts, after hearing the words of the professor.
"Well, um, technically yes, since you are to work with two skilled agents the executives have decided to make you one as well. You are no longer a grunt and will officially take Xavier's place. Virgo Novelty, you are now a Stealth Agent. Anyways, that's not why I'm here for.
The three of you will be departed to eastern reaches of the Seafoam Islands..." The professor continues her explanation.
"S... Seafoam?!" I murmur its name softly in a stuttering manner. Its name, I dread, thus it is terror Island to me. I have developed a trauma towards the island after nearly dying by sheer cold. It is an island, which name must not be spoken of. However, Charlotte on the other hand seems to have moved on already, relax and calm, even by hearing its terrorizing name.
"What... What is our purpose on the island?" I question.
"What else?! To obtain the legendary mirage of Ice, Articuno. " Charlotte replies, beaming with joy and excitement.
"That is correct. I have identified its location last night. Based on my genuine research, Articuno can be found, resting deep under the caves of Seafoam. It's quite hard to get through those caves because of its harsh coldness, thus, as your personal professor, I present you with these three specialized Team Rocket Tundra Outfits!
Its wool is the finest, guaranteed to keep you warm all throughout the mission. Not only that, but I have prepared you with three Pokeballs, exclusive for this mission. I call the Rocket Balls. It's not that accurate like a Master Ball but it is handier than an Ultra Ball. Three Pokeballs means three chances of catching the legendary mirage of Ice." The professor explains furthermore.
Never mind my trauma, this mission will be exciting for sure. The jackets offered to us by the professor are coated in black, similar to the agent and grunt outfit. The logo of our organization could be seen in the upper torso. Just by touching it, I could feel its thickness, thicker than an average jacket used by ski professionals.
As for the Pokeballs, it is also painted in black with an "R" symbol atop. I could not wait but to acquire Articuno, the mirage of ice from terror island. This will be a rematch against the harsh weather, and I am not afraid to back down from it. With everything prepared, suited up with our Tundra outfits, Professor Olive bids us some final reminders before the expedition to terror island begins.
"Don't forget to save your supplies, in case of emergencies. As much as possible, stay out of conflict with either foes or Pokemons. Focus on Articuno. I have a rising suspicion that the Rebirth Society is also after Articuno, thus I've told the executives to take action right away before the Society gets there first.
If you encounter a member of the Society, cease to attack and show no signs of your arrival. Staying out of sight is better than fighting. If they do spot you, do what you must in order to defeat them before they claim the Pokemon. This is a race against time. Good luck agents!"
I remember Ebony after hearing the words of the professor. There is a high possibility she and her sister will be there today. It is true what Olive says, this is a race against time for the mirages of ice, fire, or lightning. The first to capture either two or three of the mirages have an advantage point, and I can't let the enemy have that.
