EPISODE 13: Enter, the Pirate Twins!*
From above, people wearing leather tunics and outfits of pirates from the late eighteenth century started to descend, clinging unto the ropes. Looking above my head is, only to see the ropes connected to an invisible aircraft, since where else could they be connected to?
The people then surround us, pointing their Pokeballs, preparing to attack. If I were to fight back, I'd end up jumping at the plank which I dearly don't want to do. It's quite obvious thereafter the book as well, however, if I were to surrender the book, the whole purpose and goal of Team Rocket would be crippled, and I cannot risk that to happen.
From all these people come two identical women wearing the same outfit. They have the same looks but different eye patch locations. One is located on the left of the eye of the first sibling, and the other is located at the right of the eye of the second sibling.
"We are the Rebirth Society, surrender the book to us, Team Rocket." With a synchronized voice, the two demand the book we're holding.
"Excuse me?! First come, first serve!" Virgo beams in a frustrated manner, declining the demand.
"Cease to do so, and you will face the wrath of the Society." The twins warn with a synchronized voice.
"Rebirth Society? Have you heard of them before?" I query to Virgo.
"Don't ask me, I'm new to the Johto Region as you are. We stand no chance if we fight, we'd be their prisoners if we do so. If we were to surrender the book, we'd likely be fired by the executives, or you might even lose your title as an elite operative." Virgo whispers to my ear in a somewhat panicking manner.
"So, if we hand over the book, will you leave us alone?" I then tilt my head to the twins, questioning them seriously.
"You have our word." Sync, their voice is, uttering in a manner of sincerity.
Hearing their words, I finally take the book from Virgo's grasp and slowly went forth. The other men continue to surround us, in order to see if I was about to pull out a dirty trick on them. Little do they know, I'm planning to do so.
"You only need the page," I add, tearing the page that describes the wings of legends, and handing it over to them.
"The page will do, give to me now. I am Ebony of the Rebirth Society." She introduces, extending her hand.
Finally, the page touches her hand as she starts to clench it tightly. I on the other hand did the same thing as well.
"Hand it over." Ebony demands, trying to pull the page from me.
"Sharing is caring!" I beam in a sarcastic manner, tearing the page into two. With the page of the Rainbow Wing with me, and the page of the Silver Wing with her, I quickly grab Virgo's hand and dashed out through the front doors of the museum.
"What in the world?! You should've taken the whole book and dashed out instead." Virgo queries as we run closer to the front doors.
"Sister, the page is with them. We should grab it." Emily suggests with a look of a worried face.
"Let them be," Ebony responds by murmuring as she instructs the rest of their crew to return to the ship. Through the ropes, they climb, descending to their invisible airship above.
"When they summon Lugia in the future, we'll use Ho-Oh to claim it back. It's basically a future win for Team Rocket." I explain bursting the doors with my feet. We then return to our vehicle just in time before the police arrived. The shattering of the museum's ceiling during th debut of the so-called society has obviously attracted the attention of many civilians, thus they called the police. We were almost caught since we could already hear the sounds of their sirens.
As for the so-called Society, they left without a trace, roaming the skies of Johto once more with the page of the Silver Wing on their grasps. Inside the ship, the two twins seemed to start arguing with one another.
"Why did you leave the page of the Rainbow Wing with them?! They were only two, we have the capability to apprehend them!" Emily argues to her sister Ebony.
"When they summon Ho-Oh, we'll claim it back through Lugia. Basically, it is a future win for us." In a calm posture, Ebony explains seemingly having the same plan with the use of opposite Pokemons.
"Mother isn't going to be happy when she hears about this." Emily sighs.
"She will. Of course, if Team Rocket were to capture the legendary Ho-Oh, they would need the power of the mirages, wouldn't they? However, if we were to claim the three mirages before them, then... think of it? Ho-Oh would just attack them, wrecking their organization apart.
It's a race against the enemy that we must worry about. Do not fear sister, mother's society is far more powerful than those pilfering maniacs. Remember, the skies are ours, and soon, the land and seas will be part of mother's conquest." Ebony further explains in a calm voice.
"Back too soon?" Inside the ship, a voice interrupts.
"Yes... The mission is complete professor... Violet." Ebony smiles and hands over the page of the Silver Wing to the professor whom I've been searching for a long time. Apparently, she has betrayed the Pokemon Government Council as well.
This is the start between the ties of Team Rocket and the Rebirth Society. Although their goal and reason behind it is still quite uncertain to us, one thing's for sure, taking them down won't be as easy as blowing up headquarters for I am not entirely sure where their headquarters is, or... do they even have one in the first place?
