Chapter 19: Teng Fen’s past
Inside a dark cave, a silhouette could be seen walking towards a large glowing cube. This cube was covered with runes written in an unknown language and was the only source of light in this dark place.
If one could see this silhouette, they would immediately recognize Teng Fen, the respected leader of the Soaring Immortal Sect, the most powerful sect in the Immortal World.

He took out his celestial sword, Longyuan, from his spatial ring, but before he could cut his finger, he felt a presence behind him.
Teng Fen quickly turned and parried the surprise attack. However, he was not fast enough and suffered a slight cut in the right shoulder. He was about to counter-attack but was shocked when he saw the person who attacked him.
That person took this opportunity to distance himself from Teng Fen.
"Little brother Yan?" Asked Teng Fen.
"Big brother Fen, it's been a long time. Thank you for finding the Divine Astral Scripture for me!" Said the mysterious aggressor, smirking.
Teng Fen frowned furiously and hatred filled his heart. He never suspected that his own brother would betray him. They grew up together and founded the Soaring Immortal Sect tens of thousands of years ago.
"You… You dare to betray your own brother! You will pay for this!" Exclaimed Teng Fen, releasing a powerful killing intent. The whole cave shook under his rage.
He disappeared and reappeared in front of his brother at a speed even gods could not hope to reach. Teng Fen knew that just one strike from him would be enough to kill his little brother.
However, before Teng Fen could strike, he felt that something was wrong with his body. He couldn't move anymore?!

"Soul Destroyer Orb! How did you obtain it?" He asked.
"It's a long story. You don't need to hear it since you will soon die… After your death, I will obtain the Divine Astral Scripture and reach the Heavenly Saint realm. Then, no one will ever be able to say that you're better than me!" Said Teng Yan.
"So that's how it is… You have always been jealous of me. You…" Said Teng Fen.
"Shut up!! Now die!" Screamed Teng Yan as he activated the Soul Destroyer Orb.
A black vortex appeared above Teng Fen and he felt his soul being absorbed by it.
'So, I'm going to die… My only regret is that I will never be able to avenge myself and make my brother pay for this...'
That was Teng Fen's last thought before everything turned black.
