Chapter 2: White Room
"Wha-? A sudden blackout? Talk about good timing."
Everything gradually becomes brighter.
"Oh great the power is back. Wait a minute, where on earth am I?"
A figure from above came down.
"Ah, seriously?"
As soon as he saw the man coming down, Chris looked like he finally understands everything. He never met the man before but somehow, the man looked strangely familiar emitting some kind of a holy aura around him.
"Hmm.. Let me guess, you're God right?"
"Indeed, I am." The man said in a solemnly manner.
"I knew it. So, this is either a dream or I'm really dead."
"The latter, you died while playing a game. The lightning struck a wire connected in your apartment and the shock traveled to your computer which was transferred to you."
"I see. *sigh* At least I didn't get to feel the pain. What's gonna happen to me now? Am I headed to heaven or hell? I just hope it's not purgatory or something, I've read that it's pretty damn boring there."
"You worked really hard and studied hard when you were still alive. Your parents did not really pay much attention to you because they spent too much time on your other siblings. However, you did not abhor them about it. You struggled on your own to live your life to the fullest. But unfortunately, an accident occurred which led you here. I believe you going to Heaven is an acceptable and reasonable decision."
"To be honest, it's not that I did not abhor them, it's just that if they don't care about me, why should I care for them?"
" *chuckles* You say that, but I know that if they came asking you for help, you'll immediately help them without a second to waste."
"..." Chris wasn't able to deny the statement.
"In any case, before we go to heaven, I shall grant 3 wishes that you have. This is to make sure you will have no regrets leaving that world."
"What, are you some kind of genie?" Chris said jokingly.
"..."
"... I was just kidding. I guess this is to prevent me becoming a ghost. But still, 3 wishes huh.."
Chris thought about it very carefully and then finally arriving to a conclusion.
"Now, tell me, young man. What are your wishes?"
