Chapter 17: It has begun
Sebastian walked slowly with Shiro talking to her about random things to take her mind off of everything that happened "So do you have any hobby?"
"I like cooking, a-and I w-watch anime and read manga and novels," She says with a low voice.
"Oh, you are a fellow weeb, what's your favorite anime?" Sebastian says with a smile.
"Umm, Game is Life is my favorite anime," Shiro says
"Haha, That is my favorite too! I have some posters and figurines for the characters in my room" Sebastian says with a laugh.
"Did you watch the movie?" Sebastian asks
"Mhm Mhm!" Shiro nods enthausticaly.
"Hehe, it was great wasn't it?" Sebastian laughs happiness seeping through his pores.
"Yes, yes!" She nods furiously.
Sebastian looks in front of himself "Oh we are already here" He enters the building and goes to the fourth floor with Shiro and unlocks his apartment.
"Come in, if you need anything just ask, you can sleep in my bedroom I'll sleep on the couch if you aren't sleepy you can use my computer or watch the TV I don't mind," Sebastian says as he takes off his shirt.
"Umm, y-you said you are an inheritor as well right?" Shiro for the first time asked something.
"Yes, I am but not like you it was from another group" As he says this he makes his earings appear again and touches one of them with his finger.
"I went through some trials and was rewarded for my performance," Sebastian says while stretching clear pops were heard as his nice muscles stretched.
"So it was different?" Shiro asked.
"Mhm, I got to talk to them unlike what seemed to happen to you, basically the Apocalypse is coming 'mana and qi' will soon fill our universe creating all sorts of problems for all races and species animals will become bigger stronger, and sapient species will have to race to catch up as well," Sebastian explains as he sits down on the couch.
"The reason why this is happening is that another universe is coming to ours, and the powers in that Universe want to expand using ours in many different ways, or in your case save their race."
"That is most of what I know I was too focused on surviving to bother asking, I don't even know when it will start, also our god made some kind of system that he will give to us once everything starts," Sebastian says with a sigh.
He reaches out for the remote and turns on the news "I am constantly looking at the news to see for any kind of changes, we need to prepare for this"
Shiro was clearly worried after all who wouldn't be "W-what are we supposed to do?"
"Nothing for now not like many would believe us if we were to say it, and it might create trouble for us after it all starts, hey would you like to team up with me? Since we'll have better chances of surviving in a group?" Sebastian says with a smile.
"Ah, umm i-if you don't mind me tagging along t-then yes," Shiro says with red cheeks.
"Mhm, then I am looking forward to surviving together, Hahaha!" Sebastian says with a laugh.
They started to talk to each other about anime and things they kept on talking for a while only noticing the time at 1 am "Huh, it's pretty late I didn't even realize, well I guess we should sleep after all we might need the energy"
Sebastian enters his room and takes a spare pillow and blanket and spreads it on the couch "I usually sleep for a long time so if you need anything just wake me up, also if there is any news on something weird wake me up as well"
Shiro nods seeing this Sebastian says "Goodnight" as Shiro stutters as usual "G-goodnight"
Sebastian didn't completely trust Shiro so he didn't really sleep just closed his eyes and acted like he was asleep, though she seemed quite nice and all there was still a chance that she was just acting.
He was facing the back of the couch as he rested on it at about 3 am he heard the door to his bedroom open slowly and someone walking as silently as they could, but their rapid breathing gave them away.
They slowly came behind Sebastian and stood there for a moment after a few seconds you could hear a gulp as if the person was trying to hold themselves back they stood there for a bit more and then with quick steps went back to the bedroom.
'So it doesn't seem like she is lying, just that her instincts are kicking up' Sebastian thinks to himself 'She seems to control it for the most part so I can probably sleep just fine then' He decides as he soon falls asleep.
At 12 pm he was woken up by Shiro "S-Sebastian i-it's starting" as she said this he registered another voice talking "I will be giving you something to help you survive this apocalypse," As the voice that came from somewhere said this the transparent window appeared in front of him.
He quickly got up and looked at the screen in front of him as Shiro was doing the same both of them could see each other's screens though you could read it only from a certain distance and you can't read it from the back.
This was Sebastian's status "Finally I can see it"

{System tip: two people of the same strength stat do NOT have the same Muscle strength, meaning training your body still counts as well as everything else 10 is everyone's starting point}
'I see so this is why he said humans can't surpass dragons, one point of theirs is way more than one point of a human' Sebastian thinks to himself with a frown 'The skills are grayed out... are they changing due to the fusing? I guess I'll just look at the techniques next'

'Hehe, that is quite something, I wonder how does Shiro's status look like' Sebastian looks over it seems she was busy reading, he decided to wait for her to finish.
As soon as she did Sebastian said with a smile "Want to exchange screens so that we know each other's abilities better?"
She looks at him for a moment and nods as soon as she agreed their screens blurred for a moment and changed places "Oh my that's useful"
"Mhm" Shiro nods and starts to read, Sebastian does the same.

As he finishes reading he hears Shiro speak "Wow, your stats are amazing, but there is information that isn't shown like the benefits in the Body, Mind, and Spirit section"
"Oh, there are benefits? It didn't show me any, maybe it's because of the fusion? Oh, but what you said is right I can't see your benefits or the description of your spells." Sebastian said as he gets up to go to the bathroom.
"I am going to wash my face really quickly then tell me what I missed from the announcement," Sebastian says as he stretches, and leaves to the bathroom.
