Chapter 10: On the hunt once more.

Sebastian once more entered through the portal though it felt more like just a hole to another room, this time he was in an expansive cavern that had giant stone pillars holding the ceiling up all over the place there were white crystals that shone and lit up the whole cavern.

The place was filled with the pillars, stalagmites, and stalactites, you could almost call it a stone forest "Alright let's not waste any more time, Since its a big lizard and can probably use magic like fire or ice it's going to be hard to get close and then there are the scales..."

"Haa, I am way over my head aren't I? Well, it's too late to go back, book give me some gray clothes with a hood so it covers me more and it is kinda cold." Sebastian said as he took off his current clothes.

After putting on the clothes he started slowly walking as silently as he could and keep close to the stalagmites and pillars for cover also trying to stay in the few shadows that were around as he searched for his target.

He walked slowly through the eerie silence, he slowly lost track of time as his heart started beating faster and faster, worried at the fact that he was yet to see anything that moved.

*Grrrr*

Sebastian froze as he heard a guttural growl behind him, as soon as he heard it he zipped around the pillar he had an arm on, as soon as he got behind cover a stream of fire hit where he was standing.

Sebastian spawned a mirror and used it to look at the area where he was attacked, in the reflection he saw a giant lizard that was holding onto a pillar that was a few meters away looking at the mirror.

It had grayscales that blended with the background, they were slightly protruded and looked like rocks if you were hit by it, it would not only break your bones but also rip up your muscles and skin its tail even looked like a mace with loads of the rock-like scales at the end.

It started to slowly come down it seemed to be confused by the mirror, Sebastian summoned another one this time a very large one that had a holder, without moving his arm and doing his best to keep an eye on the crawler he set it down to his left and then quickly moved his arm and started circling the pillar.

After he pulled back his arm the monster jerked its head up and stood like that for a second or two then it rushed forward and looked around the corner only to see a reflection of itself, it stood there confused.

It moved a little and the creature also moved, it was confused at what to do it tried getting closer slowly but then it touched the mirror and jumped back.

It once again stood further away with its head held high, then it saw the weird creature that it was hunting behind the other creature that was like itself, even though he never meet it before.

The weird tall creature it hunted before was slowly creeping up to the new "friend" it found so it tried to protect its new-found friend and used its fire breath.

Sebastian who saw how confused the creature decided to take his chance as he got close to the creature and as soon as it started breathing fire he threw in the paralyzing poison he had into its mouth with the bottle and everything though he slightly charred his arm in the process.

As soon as he pulled back his arm he cast Cure Wounds and summoned a sword, as the crawler shuddered and fell on its belly closing its mouth "Well I'll be milking this for sure."

Sebastian started to attack the limbs of the thing with Qi attack making sure that it couldn't move he started farming his Qi attack on it he also had the chance to find out that casting it costs 2 Qi energy.

At one point the creature wasn't under the poison anymore but it was useless since its legs and tail were filled with cuts it could barely make it twitch much less stand on them.

The Qi attacks actually did quite a number on the scales though it would take two attacks to get a good flesh injury in after he disabled its limbs he also took the liberty to test different types of weapons on it and look for any weak points.

The weak points he found were either on the smaller angle of the protruding scales or the belly which was quite hard to get too, also the legs and neck had weaker more elastic scales so it was easier to damage those places.

As Sebastian was chopping away at it he had the smart idea to heal the thing that way it wouldn't die and he could farm his skill more and after some time he reached the max level as the notification poped up.

[Lvl 5/5 Qi Attack- +15 to attack using Qi {Trash Tier}]

"Well, its time I go... Hey, book, is there any point in eating the meat of this thing?" Sebastian says as he stretches around.

"No, not really it has a lot of calories and is certainly better than normal meat but otherwise it isn't of any use, though that would change if it had Spiritual energy instead of Qi and Mana, then the meet would be quite useful as it could raise your energy levels and the blood could be used to purify your energy or in special rituals, if you had certain materials."

"Oh, rituals like what?" Sebastian asks intrigued.

"You don't have to worry about it now, just worry about the inheritance"

"Alright, Alright" Sebastian once again starts moving to search for the crawlers this time he made sure to keep an eye for anything above him as he slowly trudged through the cavern searching for another one.

Soon after he found another crawler it was out in the open eating some bug, it seemed like there were other things here except the crawlers.

He didn't have any means of killing it easily he could try and lure it but that might go south so he decided to try and sneak up on it.

He slowly started to close in on it but it noticed him and fired off a stream of fire, he summoned a tower shield and used it to block most of the fire as he ran forward quickly reaching it using his new physique.

As he got within a meter of it he cast Power Buff and shifted off to the side and dropped his shield and slashed at its leg with a double-edged sword and the Qi attack, since it just turned its head blocking him from attacking its neck.

A white shimmer enveloped his sword as he cut towards the leg with high speed cutting deep into the leg though not cutting through.

The Crawler tried to bite him but he was ready as he pulled back, then he grabbed onto a scale and jumped up on the Crawler dodging its tail attack.

He quickly gained footing with his now flexible and strong body and once again used his skill to attack the crawler but this time going for the neck.

His sword once again dug deep but it wasn't enough to kill it and he had to jump off as the crawler was tilting to the side and started to roll towards where he fell on the back he luckily reacted fast enough and rolled out of the way as the scales ground against the rocky floor ripping some of it out.

But this was the mistake as it stopped rolling and stood on its legs it seemed to be a little dizzy leaving him an opening to hit the neck wound and kill it.

"Phew," Sebastian whipped of the sweat on his forehead as he looked at the dead Lizard "That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... let's rest a bit and look for the last one," Sebastian said as he sat down using the crawler to lean on.

Sebastian closed his eyes and tried to get some rest while thinking of some things 'After I finish the inheritance what should I do? I don't really have anyone I want to save... My brother lives in another country, my mom died from heart disease and my dad died from lung cancer...'

'As for my classmates... well I don't really care about most of them except a few no one usually talked to me unless they needed something or they were bored, and only when I started the conversation which I never had reason to and they didn't seem to like talking to me just acted friendly...'

'Basically we are just acquaintances so I won't risk my life to save them.' Sebastian sat there thinking about things, but he was suddenly interrupted as he heard a four-legged animal running closer to him, his eyes ripped open as he registered the sight in front of him.
