Chapter 73 On A Saturday Afternoon

"Nanny Ann, I'm going to Winston Mall." Elle said when she went downstairs and saw her by the bar cleaning. "Keep safe, Miss Elle. Is Andrew going to fetch you?" Nanny Ann asked. "No, Nanny, I'm going to drive. See you later, Nanny." Elle waved at her, smiling. She went out of the mansion in a red city shorts, a long blue fur coat and a long, yellow sleeve shirt and a half brown boots. It was cold in December. She hopped right in her car and signaled Mr. Sander to open the gate with a smile. "Thank you, Mr. Sander!" She said and closed the car window afterwards. She drove off to the mall she told Nanny Ann earlier. She missed driving. Ever since, she and Andrew got together, he used to drive her to the university and back home. She reached the mall after almost thirty minutes of driving, it was traffic after lunch. Four days to go before Christmas Day. She decided to go to the mall for gifts buying. She went to a Guess shop and chose to buy a red shoulder bag for her Mom and a white Guess polo shirt for her Dad. She paid them with the same amount in cash, the money she saved from her allowance. It was time for her to enter the Bench shop and bought something for Nanny Ann and Mr. Sander. "And lastly but not the least, for Andrew." Elle thought to herself. She directly entered the Adidas shop. She window shop for awhile until, "Hi Elle! Happy Holidays!" She turned around to look at the person where the voice came from. "Uh hi James! Advance Merry Christmas!" Elle replied back. "You're alone? Where's Andrew?" James asked, smiling. "I kept on calling him since this morning, I could not reach him." "Oh I see! So you're buying gifts for Christmas?" James guessed. "Just bought something important," Elle did not want to tell everything to him. She did not want anyone to know why she was there. Unfortunately, James saw her accidentally in Adidas shop. "Let's have something to eat, Elle." James invited her when her cellular phone rang. "Hello, Babe!" Elle answered the call. "Where are you now?" Andrew was mad. "I'm in Winston Mall, Babe." Elle replied, looking at James but she turned away. "Hold on for a second, Babe." Elle added. She turned to James and said, "Thanks for the offer, James but I need to finish this buying stuffs so I can go home in a flash." "Okay Elle. Enjoy your holidays!" James said. He got out of the shop afterwards. "Babe, what took you so long? Who's with you? I'm here at your house now." Andrew asked when Elle attended his call. "James saw me accidentally here. He just greeted me and asked about you. I kept on calling you this morning but your phone was off." Elle blurted out. "I charged my phone that time. Why you didn't call me on landline?" Andrew snapped. He was angrier. "Sorry, Babe, I had not thought of that." Elle said apologetically. "I'm going there now. Text me where are you at the moment." Andrew said. "I'm at..." Elle almost said but the call ended. She suddenly bought the blue Adidas polo shirt and paid them in cash. She directly went to the parking lot and placed all the stuffs she bought inside her car. She did not want Andrew to see her gift for him. She knew Andrew's favorite. It was Adidas. She went back inside the mall and messaged him that she was in the Nike shop. After few minutes of waiting, Andrew showed up. He kissed her quickly on the lips. "Where's James?" He asked. "He already left." Elle said. "I'm hungry Babe, let's eat." Elle said. She held his hand and they both went to McDonald's.
