Chapter 5: Getting Ready for the Road
After catching my breath, I now thought what I should do for the rest of the day. "Hey Weedle, let's go back to the orphanage. All my stuff is there. We can get packed today and stay at the orphanage tonight before we head off to Pewter City." Weedle nodded, so we set off for the orphanage.
When we got there, I immediatly went to my room. When I got there, all my stuff was on the floor outside the door to my room. A caregiver walked out of the room with some of my cloths and put them on the ground. "You finally turned 10. Now get your stuff and leave. You have until today to take your stuff. Anything you leave we will trash or give to the other kids."
I was shocked that I was being kicked out of the orphanage. "Why are you kicking me out?", I asked dumbfounded.
"Because you disrespected the bo... Giovanni by coming to the gym late. We heard about what you did, and we decided that because of your behavior, you are no longer welcome here. Grab your shit and get out of here."
I can't believe the caretaker almost called Giovanni boss! Why the fuck is Team Rocket involved with an orphanage?! How come I didn't realize the orphanage was Team Rocket's. I really need to sift through my memories when I get a chance to sit down and relax. I quickly start packing my cloths into my bag. I put around $2000 I saved up over the years in my pocket. I'm glad they didn't look inside that chess set. Looks like I have to find somewhere else to stay. I'll probably stay at the Pokemon center.
I pick up my bag and leave as I am escorted out the building. The entire time Weedle is glaring at the caretaker. Once outside, I started walking towards the market area of the city. "Weedle. Do you know who Team Rocket are?" She shook her head. "They are a group of criminals that steal, murder, and ****. They steal money and Pokemon. They kill Pokemon. They treat Pokemon like tools." Weedle starts to get a fire in her eyes.
"I'm pretty sure those people at the orphanage are Team Rocket." Weedle look at me shocked. "Not only them, you know Giovanni the man that gave you to me?" She nodded hesitantly. "Well he is the leader of Team Rocket." Her eyes went wider than I've ever seen them. "Yea. I'm 100 percent sure. Don't ask me how I know, but it is true." Weedle nodded that she believed in me. "They usually wear all black cloths with big Rs on their chest. Sometimes they have white cloths with the R. They are very dangerous. They can be anywhere and you would never know because you never know if a random person walking down the street is part of Team Rocket. If you see someone who matches what I told you, don't let them see you. Get away as quickly as possible and tell me. Just me! They even have people in the police force so you need to be careful." Weedle nodded in shock and fear.
"K enough of that scary stuff. Lets get to the Pokemart to stock up on stuff." When we got to the pokemart, I immediatly started looking around for the tms. I didn't want to buy any just look..... Ok I can't afford any happy now. I mean a double team tm for $3000. Its not even reusable. There is no such thing in the market yet. I really need to figure out what point in the timeline I'm in and if I'm in the anime, manga, or something completly different. Ok back to what I was here for. I bought 5 pokeballs and 3 potions. I almost cried at only having $100 left, but I'll eventually gain it back. You just wait and see.
I was curious about something. I asked the clerk, "Hey if I bought 10 pokeballs at one time, is there like a special deal with it." He nodded and said,"If you bought 10 pokeballs all at once, you could get another one for free." Looks like from now on I'm buying pokeballs 10 at a time. Hey don't judge. I got to pinch every penny I got. After I bought my stuff, I continued to look around to see what else there was to buy. It turns out 1 great ball cost $2000!! Like what! 10 pokeballs is the same as 1 great ball!! What made it even worse was that ultra balls cost $10000 per ball. There were only like 2 in the store. Holy crap they are rare! I wonder how much the other special balls like luxery, timer, quick, net balls etc. are going to cost when they hit the market. Holy shit a masterball must be millions!
I look around further and found that potions are just as pricy. $300 for a regular potion. $800 for a super potion. $3000 for a hyper potion. And for a full restore, $10000! Holy shit. I'm going to have to fucking take on the elite 4 with a chansey so I dont have to use so much money. Chansey can't do much in battle besides healing.
With a sigh I leave the Pokemart. I start heading towards the Pokemon center. I hope they have free meals over there. I'm going to have to nickel and dime my journey for a while. As I'm walking towards the center, I notice more and more youngsters walking arround. When I walk into the Pokemon center, I see Robert at the desk talking to Nurse Joy. I just make a right hoping I'm heading towards the cafeteria. Luckily I made it to the cafeteria. I order a burger for myself and some Pokemon food for Weedle. They had food made for bug Pokemon which I thanked Arceus. If they didn't I just couldn't imagine what Weedle would have done. If my mom gets mad over food, I can't imagine what animal that can shoot poison stingers out of its mouth could do.
