Chapter 8: 8. Day of peace
We leave the school campus and we get on Katsuos motorbike.
"Where do you want to go?" asks Katsuo.
"How about that cat cafe, I applied there," I say eager to see those adorable cats again.
"Oh did you get the job?" asks Katsuo.
"I have got a reply yet" I reply, I hold on tight as he drives down the road and takes a sharp turn, after a couple of minutes we arrived at the street Katsuo dropped me off and went to park his motorbike.
"Can you get us a table I'm just going to park my bike?" ask Katsuo.
"Ok" I reply, I go on ahead to reserve un a table, I open the door to the store and I hear little bells approaching, I look down and I see the cats, they had bells attached to them that rang every time they took a step.
"Aww so cute," I say as I sit on the floor in the middle of the cafe.
"hi miss how can I help you?" I look up and see the lady staring at me, it was the same one from before.
"Oh hi, I'm just waiting for a friend at the moment, can I order something when he gets here?" I ask the lady.
"Sure, but can you move to one of the tables? We dont want one of the other customers falling over you" ask the Lady.
"sure sorry just let me get up..." just as I was about to get up Katsuo rushes in the door and trips over my leg.
"Thud..."
"Katsuo are you ok!" I panicked as he got up yeah just bumped my head.
"I'm so sorry sir I was just asking her to move" the lady explains.
"No it's fine, anyway I see that you didn't save us a table," says Katsuo.
"Sorry I got distracted, these cats are too cute" I explain, "anyway there's a table free over there" I point to a table in the back corner of the cafe.
We sit down and order food, I decided to order a crepe and so does Katso, we sit there in silence for a while.
"Do you want to go window shopping?" I ask.
"Good idea, maybe we should also stop by a clothes store and get your more clothes, you dont have much," says Katsuo thinking out loud.
"Yeah, that's a good idea," I say.
After we finish eating we pay for our food then we walk down the street and do some window shopping, we enter some clothing stores to buy some clothes for me.
"Thanks, Katsuo for lending me the money, I'll pay you back," I say.
"It's fine you don't have to, you already clean and sort of cook for me... that wasn't meant to be an insult," he says.
"Dont worry, I'm aware of my cooking abilities," I say pouting.
"Oh, it's three nineteen," says Katsuo pulling out his phone to check the time, "we should go"
We hop on Katsuos bike, I put on my helmet and wrap my arms around Katsuo, it only took us a couple of minutes to get to the school, he was going so fast that I felt like we broke the sound barrier, we get off the bikes and check-in as every guest did, after checking in they gave us directions to the supernatural studies group.
"This school is huge," I say as we walk down a corridor that looked like it was made for giants "I heard they even have a gym"
"Yeah, but so did my school, didn't yours?" asks Katsuo.
"Well they were building it when I was in year eleven," I say in a quiet voice "But I dropped out before I got to see it done..."
"Oh..." says Katsuo trying to think of something to say.
We make it to the door of the Supernatural studies group, we knock on the door and wait...
No one answers, I slid open the door and no one is there, we walk in and have a look around, they hung up model space ships and had myths printed on paper and hung on the walls of the room, it was dark and only lit by colourful lights.
I realize that I probably shouldn't be here, what if these people are just crazy or delusional, I look over to Katsuo who was looking like he was having to same thoughts.
"Now that I think of it Katsuo" I was saying before the door opened so hard it made a huge bang, I look towards the door to see a bunch of people in lab coats.
"Are you here to see our amazing collection?" ask the guy standing closest, he had bright red hair and was wearing braces and glasses.
"Arrr no sorry," I say to the strange man, maybe I should ask some question just in case, but I'm sort of scared of him, no offence but he seems like he might be crazy, I walk towards Katsuo and cling to him in fear.
"Then why are you here?" he asks.
"I have a couple of questions," I tell him still clinging to Katsuo.
We chat with the members of the Supernatural studies group or the SSG, they said calling them SSG was easier, we stay for about two hours to see if they had an explanation about my situation and they seemed to be really friendly, but I was still a bit scared, they didn't really know much because they focused on things like aliens and the government.
We exit the room and make our way to the entrance of the school to sign out when we bumped in Shiro.
"Oh hey Katsuo you never told me who is she, is she your girlfriend?" asks Shiro.
"N-no nothing like that we're friends," says Katsuo turning bright red, I know why he said that and I would have to but... for some reason it makes me sad to hear that.
After saying bye to Shiro Katsuo took me back to my apartment and the whole trip I didn't say a thing, I don't know why I just didn't feel like it, I tell Katsuo I'm going to bed and lock myself in my room.
