I looked into my mirror to fix my medium hair with a little bit wavy. I put a cat style of eyeliner to my puppy eyes to look for glamorous in young lady appearance. I little bit looked mature after all I had experience in my past.
"So it was 1 month ago." I said to myself.
My mom came into my room and brought my formal coat.
"You look so beautiful." She told me with a sweet smile.
She went at my back and touched my soft hair.
"Lyrids, you should start a new life. I know my dear daughter, if one door closed then soon all windows will be opened for you." She happily said to me.
I smiled and nodded as a sign of believing to her.
I looked so fabulously formal today. I think it was the real me. The mature part of me was suddenly released after Knight and I break up.
I was walking alone the road when the informing electronic voice started to speak from the sky.
"Good day everyone! In 30 seconds, soft snow balls will fall down from our skyfor 30 minutes. It was not dangerous to be bumped on it but reminding everyone to make report incase that it can cause problem or disturbances. Thank you." The woman voice said.
Fake snow was now falling in the park. I smiled while looking to it and turned my head to the golden retriever dogs at the road.
"Today is a brand new day..." I said joyfully as I start walking on the road.
It feels good today, I moved on quickly.
I entered the JardineHamatson Building for my final interview with a group of panels.
I entered the elevator and went to 30th floor. There, people were few on the area. Robotic humanoids were everywhere for a reason that employees were time traveling all the time.
I ate my saliva when I entered the wide dark room filled with radiant energy field. The interviewers were 7 professionals. The two women, one is 30s and the second one looks in 20s. The five men were 2 in 20s, 1 in 30s and 1 in 40s. It makes me so tense. If I failed my dream to work here will be never happen forever.
Holographic wall on their sides were prepared to search if my answers were accurate.
"Dear God, please help me in answering them." I silently said while walking straightly.
I sit down and heard that the man in 20s said that I looked beautiful.
"Let's see if her beauty will amaze us through her answers." The woman in 20s said.
My interview took 4 hours and it feels like I was drained but they were totally amazed to me because of my great confidence and my charisma. However, I still don't know if that amazement will be the reason to choose me out of 777 applicants that they are hiring for the associate safety assurance time traveler.
"Please wait for 2 minutes. We will get your votes from the panels then you'll hear it through the announcement audio." The Humanoid said to me.
I waited at the waiting room until I heard the announcement. Names of applicants who passed were congratulated one by one.
"Miss Lyridsdela Cruz, congratulation for passing the final interview! Kindly, return tomorrow for the orientation and training for the job."
"Ah!" I was shocked.
"I passed it! I am awesome!" I said and started to involuntary dance a little because of happiness.
Stopped dancing because some stare at me.
"Oh, sorry." I said with a smile. My action doesn't fit my appearance.
"Hehehe... I did it!" I said to myself.
While walking slowly I touched the stainless walls and became so happy.
"This is where I will stay for a long time." I happily said.
I entered the elevator and slides my hand slowly to button until I accidentally touched a man's hard hand.
"Ah ... I'm sorry." I bow my head and apologized.
The man just looked so bossy to my shocked face and ignore me.
I looked again to the man because he looks familiar.
I tried to remember where I saw him before but forgot it.
"His chinito eyes was very familiar. Maybe a dejavu..." I said to myself.
I went outside the building and laughed loudly.
"Hahahaha! I have a new job! My new job is my dream job! I was hired! I am super lucky and amazing! Hahaha!" I spread my hands and imagined that all positive energies were entering my slender body.
The feeling was happier than the day Knight proposed to me. I want to laugh all day, dance and sing rock and roll.
"Hehehe, I should quickly tell my mother." I ambitiously said.
After 2 hours, John's parents invited me to visit John's buried body with seeds of trees to grow.
I came with a smile and kissed her mother to the cheeks.
"Thank you for coming." She said to me.
"You are welcome Mrs Annie." I replied.
"You are beautiful and John was right we are little bit have similar face when I was on your age." She said happily to me.
I nodded and smiled.
We stand at the grass where John's body was buried and pray to Jesus Christ for his peace.
"John loved you so much. He often told me how much he cared for you and wish that he will be your future husband." She said to me in a low tone.
"I also liked you Lyrids for him but now it is too late... John was no longer alive... His death was too sudden ..." She cried and said to me.
I tapped her back and tried to comfort her.
"Though John was no longer existing in this time, he was continuously alive on the other time and traveling." I said to her.
"Yes, it was true Lyrids. Please incase that you saw him then give this letter" She stopped crying and moved his hand to me.
"Mrs. Annie, I will." I replied.
I became a little bit sad again but I should not think that he was dead. He was around at different dimensions but in my time he stopped existing. So that's life.
"John's job was very dangerous and this is as same as mine now. I could also die like him if I am not always be careful but no matter what, I will love this job soon."
"I'm so excited for tomorrow." I said silently and smiled.
