Chapter 1: Born
Oh well, it has been 15 years since I've reached this place. Amazing place? Cruel place? Till this day I can't really differentiate it.
"Happy Birthday dear self."
Picked up my phone when the clock strikes twelve. My screen shows "you have a message. " I unlocked my phone to see an email reminding me to hand in my online assignments.
Perhaps everyone's asleep and I should be too. Maybe they will wish me in the morning? I always wished people Happy Birthday, so they probably will wish me too?
Lying on my bed, looking at the ceiling. They wouldn't forgot my birthday right? Can't remember how long after that, I fell asleep.
"Hey, wake up! Time to eat breakfast! " my typical Asian mom knocking on my door as usual. "Yes, Ma! "
"Another ham sandwich for the birthday girl. " I looked at my plate. And extra ham! What a great way to start a day.
"I got to go now ma, see you! " I checked my phone when I'm on the bus on the way to school. No messages.
I reached school, my best friend, Carmen came and wish me with a hug. "Hey girl, Happy Birthday! " I looked at her in shocked " Wow, why are you so touchy today? " Carmen gave me those puppy eyes. How can I resist it? "Fine, fine, you win. "
"Teacher's here, class stand! " Just another day of the month, just another day of the week, and just another birthday...
