Chapter 6: Obligatory Training montage
"Hello, My name is Shang Chi. I am relatively new here in America. Can you guide me to this address?"
He says as he gives Peter a business card.
But by this time Dreamer had his mind blown, he started wondering if he got any protagonist aura on him that stuck to Peter because running into Shang chi the first week Peter started training was super coincidental. But then he saw the business card given to Peter and was shocked again because it was the business card of Nelson and Murdock Law firm
Peter immediately gave directions to Shang Chi. Shang Chi who understood everything and he commented to Peter and gave a business card before leaving.
"You have an odd style of fighting which I am sure it is self-taught, Maybe I can help you out teaching some martial arts, I am renting a dojo nearby for the next year, if you want to learn martial arts please visit me"
"Thank you, I will be sure to consider," said Peter politely.
<Hey, Dreamer what do you think of this guy? I kind of feel something special about him>
Dreamer was amazed that Peter could tell that Shang Chi was special.
<His body is at least superhuman level and it looks like all-natural power, you should take his offer. People who reach that kind of level are generally people who have great combat abilities.>
Dreamer couldn't outright tell him that Shang Chi was the best master of combat styles in marvel, so he could only nudge him towards him by talking vaguely.
<You think so, then I will try to convince Aunt May and Uncle Ben>
Just like that, it took Peter 2 days to make his Aunt and Uncle agree to send him to Shang Chi's classes. On the 3rd day when Peter was dropped off by Uncle Ben at the Dojo, he went inside to notice a small number of kids practising Karate drills, drilled by a student who looked like a High schooler. Peter went up to him and asked.
"Hello, My name is Peter Parker, I was invited here by Mr Shang Chi."
"Oh Okay, Master is in the third room in that corridor."
So Peter followed the direction to Shang Chi's room, in which Shang Chi was reading a newspaper drinking tea.
"Well, Hello there, thank you for helping that day, I forgot to take your name."
"Hi, it was no problem, My name is Peter Parker, Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too Peter. So did you decide to take my offer?"
"Yes please."
"So, Why don't you let your friend come out first."
To which Peter stiffened. Even Dreamer started to get Nervous of how he got detected until he remembered that Shang Chi could use and sense Chi, and Chi being a building block of life he probably would have been detected by his senses.
<Don't worry he is a good guy, I don't sense malicious intentions.>
Slowly Dreamer fully came out of Peter taking a form similar to Venom but without the Ferocious face and Teeth.
"Hello there, I am Dreamer."
"Hello, I wonder what you are?"
"I am an Alien from a species known as the Klyntar, Klyntars are generally very aggressive and amplify our host's negative emotions to make them create Adrenaline, but I evolved from them to obtain a new symbiosis mode. I guess I am a new species now."
"Yes, I can sense it, you have a distinct calmness to you."
By Dreamer side Peter was looking at Dreamer curiously, this was because it was his first time looking at Dreamers full form.
"I want you to bond to me to better understand you, and also to make sure you are not messing with Peter's mind or something similar."
Dreamer just shrugged and slowly merged with Shang Chi, after merging with Shang chi dreamer was shocked. It was because Shang Chi's body had an almost impossible amount of balance. Dreamer thought only he could manage to do it with his almost impossible control over the human body. Then he searched for the reason and then realized that it was because of Chi.
He observed Chi in Shang Chi's Body and quickly understood the principle of Chi perfectly. It was probably because of his insane understanding of the human body, but also probably because of his contact with the mystic arts, and channelling energies.
He was also fascinated by it, The Chi energy was unlike the other-dimensional energy. It was not dimensional energy, it was life energy, from the surroundings, plants, animals, people.
But also because it was pure life energy, it had huge healing effects.
He saw that Chi, in Shang Chi's body was circulating in a certain path, but it was also during this time he understood what all the Chinese novels keep going on about meridians and everything. He also understood how the Chinese myth of Immortals came about.
These meridians were natural energy pathways naturally built into the body, but it was in a higher level of dimension. These meridians, bone marrow, Flesh all naturally clog up with the so-called chi blocking particles called impurities, so after clearing all of them up and then let the Chi flow through them in order of the meridian thickness, the chi automatically enhances their body to the maximum level.
The imagination that they can fly and destroy mountains was just that, an imagination. But thanks to this information, Dreamer found a much more efficient way to help Peter and himself. Thus Dreamer decided that he would give Shang Chi, thanks by cleaning away all the impurities in Shang Chi's body and also gave him the max tune-up. But he also retaliated for making him come out a little bit by making Shang Chi's need to go to the toilet a little urgent.
Immediately coming out of Shang Chi's body and back into Peter with max speed, Dreamer quickly cleared away all the impurities into Peter's urine, ready to be discarded when he pees next. Dreamer also cleared all the impurities of himself and sent the waste to go along with Peters.
Immediately after clearing the waste, Dreamer quickly started gathering and circulating Chi, since only the person can create his chi for himself, he could not help Peter yet. Until Peter creates his own Chi dreamer can't help him, but after Peter creates his chi, then Dreamer can help him circulate the Chi involuntarily which is a lot helpful. He would also teach Peter on using and circulating chi but still, he can help Peter a lot.
<What did you do just now?>
<What? The reason Shang Chi is running to the toilet or the reason you felt so light and free.>
<Both>
<Well, For Shang Chi I gave him a tune-up, and for other things it is a long explanation, I will tell you when we get home.>
<You better, and we are also talking about why didn't you tell me about the normal Klyntars.>
"Oh, sorry for running out like that, Dreamer played a little prank. But even though it was a prank I am greatly thankful for you doing that Dreamer."
"Just take it as a freebie" dreamer spoke through peter
"So where were we before talking about Dreamer, ah yes Peter's training. I am very curious I haven't ever seen the fighting style you were using."
<Peter, give this guy the notes on the fighting techniques, he is a combat master and will help you a lot.>
<Are you sure?>
<Yeah, Give it to him, even if we don't give it to him he would disassemble the style anyway, at least this way he can help smoothen out the fighting style.>
So Peter gave Shang Chi the notes, to which Shang Chi asked Peter to wait in the opposite room so that he could read and understand in silence, to which Peter shrugged and started meditating in the next room. After a half an hour or so, Shang Chi called Peter back.
"Your fighting style is pure genius, but it is obvious that it was created by a person with no battle experience, there is no major problem in the style itself but a lot of the minor stuff can be solved by fighting experience. For now, I will help you train in this style, but I will take some more time to deliberate all my thoughts on your style and tell it to you tomorrow."
"Oh ok then thanks, Hey can you write your thoughts in a book so that I can first try to solve the problem by myself then you can give me your suggestions, because as the creator if I try to solve the problems myself first I think the style will be consistent."
"Ok, then I will email you, my thoughts on your style, tonight. You can take your notebook back. on second thought why don't you leave me a copy for me to reference."
"Ok then, Goodbye," said Peter after he gave Shang Chi a copy of his notes.
That night Peter sent a huge email considering all of Shang Chi's thoughts on the fighting style and what he thinks it lacks. He wanted to get on to working on it the same day but Dreamer insisted that he start tomorrow.
Next day, As Peter woke up and did his morning routine, he quickly came back to his room and started to organize and categorize all the flaws and problems Shang Chi noted with the techniques.
For the next week, Peter worked on fixing the flaws and mistakes in the fighting technique and then reworked the fighting technique.
Shang Chi was amazed when he saw that Peter reworked the whole fighting technique, making sure to solve all the problems he had listed. Seeing that Peter solved all the problems that he listed and created a near-perfect fighting technique.
"Peter, I am amazed at your genius mind, being able to rework an entire fighting technique and solving all the problems listed by me was by no means an easy task. But you not only complete the task but also complete it in a week. I also have a request. My request is for you to let me use your fighting style."
Peter was blushing and was dumbfounded by Shang Chi's request but he still replied: "No problem, it wouldn't have reached this level without your input anyway."
"Thank you, Now that is out of the way, about your training why don't we start from the day after tomorrow. I will take these two days off to familiarize myself with your fighting style."
Thus, Peter started his training with Shang Chi.
