Chapter 14: "Why?"
They arrived at Junjie's house. Elijah carefully pick up Junjin who is still sleeping.He put him in his room.Then, he ran to the car to carry Changying and placed her in the dining room.He gave her a glass of warm milk.
"Now tell me what happen. I can't help you if you don't tell me." Elijah said her.
Changying told him the drama that happen.Elijah's thoughts were [Your making this easier, Li Junjie. It's so much easier to persuade her when she is sad and depressed.I just hope she agreed to it.]
Then, Junjie kicked the front door He ran to Changying and hold her hand."I swear it's not what you think! Let me explain!"Junjie said to her. Elijah grabbed his hand and yelled at him.
"Why?Isnt she enough?She has all the traits that you could ask for! Is she a toy to you?Can't you just break up with the whore?!"
Changying shooked her and placed her hand at Elijah's shoulder. She added "Don't worry, I'm just his backup plan. I'm just an extra. He's not worth it."
Elijah let go of Junjie's hand. She went to Junjin's room and change her clothes.She cried to sleep next to Junjin. Junjie went to a bar.
The next day..(Thursday)
Changying woke up early as usual. Her eyes were red and swollen. It is proof that she shed so much tears in a day.She made pasta for breakfast. Junjin woke up and went to the dining table."Mommy why are your eyes like that?"Junjin asked her
"I'm fine.Mommy doesn't have enough sleep last night. Eat up and I'll go wake up Uncle Eli."Changying answered.She went Elijah's room and saw him sitting on the bed. Clearly he awoken from his slumber."Good morning,Eli.Can we cancel the meeting today?"Changying asked him
Elijah nodded and respond to her"Sure, I need to settle some errands today. I'll suggest you go visit your parents."
Changying nodded and smiled.They went to the dining room.Before they passed the living room, they saw Junjie holding a bottle of wine in his hand.He kept mumbling"Sorry, Changying."
Elijah and Changying noticed the words but Changying seem to ignore him.They ate the pasta and Changying said to Junjin"Today we will be meeting grandpa and grandma from mommy's side." After getting dressed, Elijah drove them to Wu's Grand Imperial Residence. That's where Changying's parents live at. Sometimes, Zhongqing stayed there if he had leisure time.
After arriving at the Wu's Grand Imperial.The guards were shocked and shouted"The Young Miss is back!"
They let her in and she entered the house.When she entered the house, she received too much nagging,
"My dear! Where have you been?You didnt told us you had a child! Is it Junjie's?Are you guys are going to remarry?!"Wu Huiliang asked.
"Dad, didn't you watch the news?Didn't brother told you?Yes,the child is his.But he seems to fallen out of love."Changying said with sorrow in her eyes.
"Oh,its better that way.Your mother and I have better plans for you.Come in!"Wu Huiliang yelled.
A man entered.His hair was blond, his skin was white as snow."Hey, uncle! Why'd you bring me here?"the man said.
Changying was shocked and amazed"Dad,why you brought Brian Jackson here?His schedule is full and he needs to attend thousands of meeting."Changying said
Explanation
Brian Jackson is a man with two names.He is 29 years old.Lost his virginity at 20. Single af.Rich businessman and a singer.His debut when he is 25. "Unnie! Why are you here? Are you related to the Wu's" asked Brian (Brian didn't know that she is Wu Changying.He recognise her as Harmony.)
Changying helplessly sighed" Dad, explain this to me.I have too much problems so you better explain to me quickly"Changying added. Brian was surprised and astonished to see his senior, the second heir of the legendary Wu's.
"D-dad?Your related to him?"Brian said
"I will arrange your marriage during December.I already called Brian's sister for the blessings. Now he is your fiance.No buts. Someone needs to take care of your child and you.I saw Brian has some husband materials after Li Junjie."
Changying yelled"Dad, he can't even cook. I have some stuffs I need to settle with Li Junjie. I didn't even agree to this nor does he. Dad, please just give a few months to get back with Li Junjie or find a new one. I don't need someone to take care of me.Im more independent now. I even raise my child myself for three years!"
"Uncle, I heard some rumors that she is getting back with Mr.Li. I don't want to interrupt unnie with this. I don't think her son would be comfortable with me anyways.I can't even cook eggs!".
Wu Huiliang yelled at them" You known him for 19 years(he meant Junjie). Should it have been enough to see his true colors yet?! Now ,you!You already turn 30 this year.Your sister have been worried sick after the incident happen when you was 20. I will give you a few months to get back with him or a find new candidate for us.Or your mother and I will pick Brian for you.But he is still your fiance."
"Mommy, I have a new papa?"Junjin asked to his mother while tugging her dress. Changying squatted down and helplessly sighed."Apparently, yes.But-"Changying said but cutted off by her son."No! No! Junjin wants old papa!!"
Changying glared at her father. Huiliang laughed nervously. Then, Zhuang Qiaolan squatted down to her grandson."Don't worry, you can visit old papa anytime."Zhuang Qiaolan said to her grandson. She said it while caressing Junjin's head.
"Yay!Can papa come here?"Junjin asked again. Qiaolan nodded to him.
