She knelt to the ground and felt the soil. The patches of blood and body parts of demons were already dried. The houses and stalls were all burned down to ashes. All the South and North Kingdom soldiers felt the gloomy tune in the air. 

"We were late." Yllana swept a gaze over the Cursed Lands. This battlefield is the last one she fought in as a Holy Knight of the North Kingdom. When she stood up, she looked at the skies just like the many times she would when she was thinking of things that no man can answer. 

Midel walked beside her and looked at the skies too. He sighed, "The trail ends at the Fairkeep Falls for Larika. Darion's trail ends here."
