I look around and appear to be lying down on a bed in a room by myself.
The room has a computer desk, a closet, a small table, and a nightstand with a VR headset sitting on top of it.
(Hey, Komeko, can you hear me?) I think in my head.
(Yeah, I hear you.) She tells me.
(Can you tell me where I am and what I should do?) I ask Komeko while still adjusting to the room.
(You are currently in your room, I have provided you with a background in this world and will do so for the other ones to come. You are a transfer student who recently moved here alone. Your parents are also on a business trip and won't be back for a while. A long while. For years probably.) Komeko tells me as a System Prompt appears in front of me.
(What a terrible thing to do, they must really think I'm responsible then huh.) I think to myself with a smirk.

I accept the quest as quickly as possible to save time.
Then I open my closet to see a pair of school uniforms all hung up in my closet.
A timer can be seen in the corner of my vision and I notice that I have 20 minutes to be in class before I fail my quest.

I ask Komeko for a map and the distance from my house to school.
After she provides the information I quickly calculate how much time I will take in order to freshen up, get dressed, and make it to school.
After doing it all I still have 12 minutes left just as I calculated, and like that I make my way out the door to school.
My school uniform consists of a blue blazer, with a red tie, and a white shirt underneath it with grey pants.
Getting to school on time was no problem for me and I arrived early in fact. After taking every shortcut I could on the map, it's not surprising.
Instead of going straight to class, I head to the front office. It's not like I know the school inside out or what class I'm in.
After meeting my homeroom teacher, she leads me to the classroom and tells me to wait outside the door for a bit.

It all perfectly integrates with me and into my very existence.
I don't know if this is because of my fast learning, but decide to ignore that as it's not important right now.
After a short wait, the teacher asks me to come inside.
I open the door and see the class staring at me. In the mix of students, I notice Kaede Honjou and Risa Shiramine.
Kaede Honjou is the main character of BOFURI, her in-game name is Maple. She has fair skin, is 4'9 light grey eyes, short black hair with a short ahoge, and on her hair, she wears a white clip.
AN: An ahoge is a cute lock of hair sticking out from the top of a character's head.
Risa Shiramine is the main character's long time best friend. She has long ash brown hair and eyes, a height of 5'0, and keeps a white ribbon tied to her hair.
The teacher hands me white chalk and I write my name in Japanese on the backboard.
"Hello, my name is Maou Aldus, and I'm a transfer student. Nice to meet you all, I'll be in your care." I tell the class while bowing slightly with my hands to my side.
I then stop bowing and everyone in the class observes me. Some boys grow jealous of my handsome looks, tanned light skin, snow-white hair, and gorgeous blue eyes. Every girl in the class has a tinge of pink appear on their cheeks.
A pretty-boy in the corner of the room sends me a wink and I immediately forget of his existence entirely from that moment on.
A few girls are bold and try to make eye contact with me, but I don't have time for relationships right now. I need to get school over with so I can play games you know?
The teacher directs me to an empty seat which happens to be right next to Risa Shiramine, this saves me a lot of difficulty with trying to interact with them.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Risa Shiramine," Shiramine tells me while reaching her hand out to me with a smile.
"Likewise, I'm Maou Aldous," I said while shaking her hand.
During lunch, Shiramine introduced me to Kaede Honjou.
She's clumsy and fun to be around. We really hit it off and I was able to become friends with the two of them.
I think the ahoge on the top of Honjou's head is cute and it reminds me of the top of a hens head.
Shiramine has nice legs and it-
Look ok, the point is that they are both my friends now and I know them a bit more.
As school ends I exchange phone numbers with them and head home.
"Bye Honjou, bye Shiramine. I'll see you two tomorrow." I say with a smile.
"See you tomorrow then, Aldus!" Honjou says waving her hand at me.
"See you later Aldous," Shiramine says waving her hand.
After saying goodbye to them both at the school gate, I began walking away.
Honjou and Shiramine walk the same way too as they follow behind me.
After walking in the same direction for 5 minutes, Shiramine makes a turn and says goodbye again.
(F*ck, this is awkward) I am currently still walking in the same direction Honjou is at the side of me and I don't think I can start a conversation like this.
"So… looks like we're going the same way," Honjou said to me
My high- speed thinking activated and I began to think of things to say before scrapping it, after all, I wanted to leave a good impression seeing that I'm walking with a girl I'm friends with next to me.
After a few minutes of thinking of something to say I respond.
"Yeah, it does look like it," I say to Honjou
"What looks like what? Is something wrong?" Honjou says unaware of the reason I said what I had just said.
(Crap, I totally blew it just now. Wasn't I supposed to answer that a few minutes ago? WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO RESPOND!?!) I continue to think to myself.
Honjou seemed to sense the distress I was having and smiled at me trying to ease my mind.
It worked too.
(Why am I acting so different all a sudden, I should calm down. I know I liked the character and the anime but I should not let this get in the way of my interactions with them.) I console myself
"This is where I live; I'll see you later then Honjou," I say while walking to the house next to the one we were in front of.
"Bye Aldous!" Honjou says while waving to me.
I walk into my house and began to think of gifts to give to my close neighbors while informing them of me moving in near them.
After buying gifts I began to visit my neighbors and give them the small gifts I bought.
As I knock on the door of the last neighbors I have yet to gift, (the house on the left of mine), I hear a familiar voice from inside.
"Aldous?" Honjou asks with a surprised expression.
"Hey Honjou, it looks like we're neighbors," I tell her.
She chuckles a bit.
Honjou's mom came to the door and saw me talking to her daughter.
"Hello there, you must be the new person who moved in next door." Hanjou's mom says to me.
"Yes, I came with some gifts for you and your family," I say while lifting up the bag in my hand, then handing it to her.
"Oh my, how rude of me! Please come in." She offers me while gesturing me in.
"Excuse me for intruding," I say while walking inside.
After staying for a while I was going to head back home, but Honjous mom stopped me asking if I wanted to stay for dinner.
Not wanting to be a problem for them, I was about to reject their offer. But the moment I opened my mouth Honjou seemed excited, so I agreed.
Although the food Hanjou's mom cooked was unable to compare to my brother's, I still enjoyed it and ate it all.
After having a conversation over dinner, I told them about me living alone and Honjous mom asked me if it was ok for me to come over every day for at least dinner.
I agreed to that too and told them I should go home now.
It was getting late and I wanted to rest after the long day I had.
