Assassin Class
After school at Kaede's house.
"See you later Maou!" Maple smiles while waving at me.
"Bye Kaede, I'll see you in-game!" I say to Kaede before walking to my house.
After drinking a glass of water and talking to Komeko about the requirements for me to acquire my classes, she told me I had an extra tab in the new world system that I could use to unlock classes after completing the requirements for them.
After I unlock a class I will get all the skills for the stage I unlocked.
There are 4 stages, base class, super class, ultra class, and uber class.
These classes from super class and onward are separated by weapon type and Alignment.
Uber classes have extreme requirements, and Komeko said I will probably only be able to get one my entire time here.
But the higher the stage I reach, the stronger I will be.
After I finish talking to Komeko I put on my VR gear and lay down on my bed.
I see Kaede walking out of a shop and being directed to go somewhere by two people. One is a girl with blue hair and another is a man with brown hair.
The man with brown hair looks like an adult, his eyes are also brown and he wears red armor. The class he is happens to be the same as Maples, a great shielder. The shield is primarily red with white outlining and a few designs on it.
The girl with blue hair looks like an adult too, albeit like a 19-year-old, had light blue eyes, and wore tan brown armor with navy leggings.
AN: Please check the Wiki if you haven't seen the characters before, I'm not good at describing clothing.
I decide to go over to them and introduce myself.
"Hello, Maple sorry if I'm interrupting something," I apologize
"Hi Al, It's not a problem," She says to me while turning around to face the two people who helped her.
"Thanks for taking care of my friend, she can be quite careless at times," I say to them, which earns me a slight blush from Maple.
(So cute.) I thought in my head.
"Nice to meet you two, my name is zsxcfvbhnmk123, but you can just call me Al." I say while extending my hands for a shake.
(That name…) The two look at me shocked and confused about how I can remember a name like mine.
"It's a pleasure to meet you too," they both say while shaking my hands.
"My name is Chrome," The brown-haired man says as he stopped shaking my hand, and let's go.
"I'm Iz," The blue-haired girl says with a slight blush.
Iz could feel my heartbeat through my hand and began to blush harder.
Maple puffed her cheeks and glared at me.
This was because my shirt was still a bit too small. My abs stood out, my tan light-skin could earn the envy of males and females, my blue eyes were easy to get lost staring into, and my white hair went to enhance my looks.
All of these would be attractive features, so once again I don't blame them for it.
Chrome glances at me and blushes slightly.
(I wish I could be that handsome.) Chrome thought to himself
I could hear Kurome laughing her ass off in my head, as I misinterpreted his blushing.
(What the fuck? I don't even look similar to a girl…) I thought in my head.
I look at Chrome with a confused expression.
"Well, you guys should get going now, that way you can save more time on fighting." Chrome says trying to divert the attention away from him.
"Alright, let's all add each other then," I say while Maple and I opened the New World Online System and sent friend requests to them.
"Alright, thanks Liz, Chrome." Maple says as we walk away.
"See you guys later," I say waving my hand at them.
"Take care, come back safe!" Liz shouts while staring at my back.
"You don't think they'll head to that dungeon all on their own, do you?" Liz asks Chrome.
"No way, that's absurd," Chrome responded.
My athletic body, broad shoulders, and tight shirt are enough to make her blush again.
I began to drool at the image of myself with a six-pack. Realizing my narcissism has been going on for too long I snap out of it.
Maple started fidgeting around and blushing, so I asked what was wrong.
"Um, it seems like it will take us a long time to get there because of my agility, so..um.." Maple's face turned red from embarrassment.
"You don't need to force it out, just hop on," I said, kneeling on the ground and showing her my back.
It seems like she was just trying to find the least embarrassing way to ask me to carry her.
Adorable.
I put Maple on my back for a piggyback ride and get in a running position.
My STR stat gives me little to no problem carrying Maple as I dash off.
Maple points me where to go as I run around.
"YAHOOOO!!!" Maple yelled as I ran up a wall
I try to make the trip more enjoyable for us and tree jump for certain areas with big enough trees.
After a while, Maple and I had finally made it to "The Poison Dragon's Labyrinth"
"It's finally dungeon time! It's starting to feel like a real adventure!" Maple excitedly says to me.
"I wonder if there's a poison dragon in "The Poison Dragon's Labyrinth ``?'' She asks curiously.
"I'm sure we'll be fine. You have poison resistance and we have potions," I tell her, causing her to nod her head at my words.
5 Minutes later
"Take this!" Maple shouted while landing on the monsters in front of her with her shield, squishing them into particles.
Acquired [Shield Attack]: Attack with your shield, what else did you think it was?
After killing nearly every monster, Maple and I arrive in front of two wooden doors.
"This must be it, the boss room," I say while looking at the extra tab in the New World Online system Komeko was talking about.
The extra tab is called [Upgrade/Unlock Class]
"Wait, Maple. I unlocked some of my class skills." I tell Maple before we walk inside the boss room.
I see the base class for dagger is unlockable, so I equip it to myself and look at the skills.
[Thief Skill: Dagger Throw]: When you have a dagger equipped, you can use this to throw a single dagger.
[Thief Skill: Pickpocket]: Steal 3% of the money from somebody in front of you (They can hear the "ka-ching" sound so be careful, they could attack you)
[Thief Skill: Lock manipulation]: Take five seconds to lock or unlock a door, can lock any door including wall doors.
[Thief Skill: Trinket Steal]: Used on a player and can steal trinket/artifacts/gems/food from them (you cannot steal item they have equipped)
[Thief Skill: Agility]: When you have a dagger equipped, you can use the ability agility. When active it grants you faster movement speed and attack speed.
I notice I can upgrade it into the dagger superclass Spy or Assassin.
I choose assassin and look at the skills it has.
Active Skills
[Assassin Skill: Bane]: Make a dark agility sound and when you attack with a Dagger/Tanto you teleport to the nearest player location while attacking.
[Assassin Skill: Triple Dagger Throw]: Throw 3 daggers covered in a dark aura, they can apply weapon enchantment effects. When an enemy is hit by a dagger, they are put into a very short stun, which can be useful for getting the first hit in.
[Assassin Skill: Lethality]: Toss your dagger in front of you and grab it in reverse grip with a red effect. If a target in front of you is in the way when the dagger was thrown, they will get hit by multiple slashes over their body, doing decently high damage.
Passive Skills
[Assassin Skill: Improved Agility]: The Agility skill from Thief Base Class is improved, making you even faster than before.
(This is perfect) I think to myself
I need to be able to catch and kill my prey, but also be able to evade them easily.
Now I can do all of that, I need to focus on defensive measures.
"I'm ready, let's go inside," I tell Maple
The door to the boss room creaks and we open it.
The moment we set foot in it slams loudly.
We hear growling and as our vision adjusts we see it.
A huge dragon with three heads. No, to call it a dragon would be an embarrassment to dragons.
It has three eel-like heads that seem to each have its own brain, red eyes, and sharp fangs that filled its mouth to the point that some of them are stuck out even with it closed.
I could tell, this was a Hydra.
With a loud roar, poison shot out from the mouth of the three eel heads.
Maple stood in front of me and blocked the poison with her shield, causing her shield and weapon to be destroyed.
The boss began charging up another stream of poison and realized that this was a perfect time to raise my poison resistance.
I take out a health potion and use it while touching the poison still on the floor from the boss's previous attack.
As my health shot down, my "Trainer From Hell" passive activates and begins to raise my VIT stat and I gain a new skill [Poison Resistance - Moderate]
Such a large skill level after the first try.. Let's do this then.
