Chapter 54: Inflection point
The place was filled with numerous computers and other electronic equipment.
The place was lit by a dim green light that was emitted by a particular conservation capsule.
In that capsule you could see the figure of a little girl with brown hair.
The only door connecting the area to the outside slowly opened.
A young man with white hair and red eyes entered that place with a frown.
The young man looked at the storage capsule for a moment and went to a computer.
The young man was naturally Kanaru. He noticed that another form of artificial life was preserved exclusively in this place, something that seemed very strange to him.
Kanaru analyzed the computer data and he made a strange face.
"Misaka 20001? I knew there was an administrator of the Misaka Network, but I'm a bit surprised that those trash have created another clone for that purpose."
"So... this is almost over..." Kanaru smiled
Before fighting Accelerator, he found and led most of the clones to an extremely safe location. But for some reason, there were around 50 clones that he couldn't find and because of that he requested Aihana's help.
And he was naturally happy that his efforts paid off.
Kanaru went to the front of the clone 20001 capsule.
"I'm not sure what to do with you." He muttered.
After all, she was an irregular in all of this to him. Kanaru wasn't sure what action he should take regarding her, at least he wasn't.
A blue flash completely illuminated the place for a few seconds.
A young man with blue hair appeared.
"It seems you have a lot of free time Aihana, the information about you was incomplete?" Kanaru said in a sarcastic tone.
Aihana looked at Kanaru showing him a big smile.
"No, no, you're wrong. In fact, you gave me too much information! It'll take days to find what I want! " He exclaimed in an accusing tone.
Soon after he calmed down and spoke in a relaxed tone.
"I'm here as a spectator of a great event." Aihana said.
Kanaru clicked his tongue.
"Is this some other shit from your reality?" Kanaru asked.
Aihana stood in front of the capsule.
"How do I explain it to you? You know that my reality and yours are somewhat different. The main difference is you, the Hikari Kanaru that I know is only a level 3 esper. After you murdered my counterpart in this world, me and Rika-chan came to this reality to verify the situation and I still don't understand why you want to kill us as soon as you noticed us." Aihana explained.
Kanaru thought for a moment.
"When I was practicing with the ability Flash Step, your counterpart appeared out of nowhere with a flash and without giving me explanations he teleported me to outer space, very close to the sun. Apparently, his teleportation failed to teleport me to the sun because thousandths of seconds after touching me I made his body explode. The next day Rika arrived while I was still practicing with my new abilities in District 11 with another flash, I reflexively attacked her since I didn't want the same situation to happen again, but I couldn't catch her, after hours of chasing her she explained the situation to me and I finally understood that shit about alternate realities. "
Kanaru continued talking and took out his cell phone.
"Apparently the ability I assimilated was more than it seemed. Well, if it weren't for that ability, he would have been locked in Kakine's world for a long time. She stayed with me for a few days helping me control that ability until one day you teleported in front of us. I attacked you to check my progress with that ability (Flash Step), not to kill you." Kanaru explained in detail his history with him and Rika."
"And then we started a cooperative relationship." Aihana complemented. He continued speaking.
"Another difference between this reality and yours is time, my reality and yours are 2 years apart, that is, I'm from the future and that is why I'm here."
Kanaru looked at the conservation capsule for a moment before fixing his gaze back on Aihana.
"Is she important?" Kanaru asked as she searched for a contact on his cell phone.
"Accelerator is dead?" He didn't answer and asked him another question.
Kanaru shook his head as he kept looking at his cell phone. Finally, he found the contact he was looking for.
"If that's the case then you must get her out of this place." Aihana said in an amused tone.
Kanaru sighed.
"I'll not do anything." Kanaru said as he placed the cell phone on his ear.
"You use your cell phone at the least opportune moments, at least in that you're equal to your counterpart. Wellllll… who are you calling?" Aihana asked
"To a good doctor." He replied with a peculiar tone.
