Chapter 81: Chapter 76 : Cobalt Lightning
' Gilyu , what the hell man ? ' ' Why are you spying on me ! ' Lance screamed in disgust .
' Uhh ... , shit ! ' Gilyu stalled just before he bolted down the wooden steps and onto the main deck .
Lance ripped his bed sheets off and put on his black chainmail armour . He grabbed his sword and went after his brother .
The confrontation began on the front outside deck of the ship . Gilyu was standing at the very edge , if there was a single gust of wind it would likely have swept him off his feet and into the ocean .
Lance stomped across the deck , the thud of his metal boots woke Serena from her sleep .
She grabbed a white goun to cover her bare skin and rushed to the window in Lance's cabin which over look the front deck . She saw the confrontation and then ran down the stairs .
' Lance , I am sorry , I was just a little curious . You wouldn't hurt your brother .... right..... ? ' He hesitated .
' You were looking in on me and Serena ! ' Lance hissed in spite .
' Dammit ! Brother I am sorry ! I don't want to fight you ! ' Gilyu urged apologenically .
' Because you know you'll lose ! ' Guldered Lance as he drew his sword and shot a lightning rod out of the metal blade . Gilyu narrowly dodged it .
' Get a grip ! ' Gilyu shouted as dust clouds arose .
' Ah ! ' Lance yelled back before leaping at his brother and punching him square in the face with his metal knuckles from his armour . That wasn't the finish of it , he pummeled his brother again and again . In the stomach ! On the shoulder ! Kicking his knee with his sharp boots soon after .
Gilyu wasn't fighting back or even attempting to dodge anymore . Streams of tears flowed down his face but Lance didn't see them because of the amount of blood mixed with them .
His nose was broken and he had a black eye , his shoulder blade shattered and his knee knocked in .
' Had enough yet brother ?! ' Lance arrogantly added before kneeing Gilyu right in the face .
Gilyu collapsed and bled out , flooding the wooden deck in blood .
Lance laughed uncontrallably ' Ah aha ahaha aha '
He turned his back and walked away proud of his cruelty and abuse of power .
Gilyu's right eye was still open , it twitched and twitched while watching his brother leave until eventually closing .
A small spark of bright cobalt blue lightning flickered .
And then another one seconds later .
And then a third one after that .
And then a fourth , and then the sparks turned to bolts and Gilyu's eye opened . As blue as the bottom of the ocean , his veins were overflowing with nothing but electro kinetic energy .
His left eye opened when suddenly a huge bolt of the same cobalt lightning struck him from the heavens . A storm emerged and the rain began to pour , the wind began to blow and Gilyu rose to his feet tattered and torn but surrounded with pure power .
Lance looked over his shoulder and saw this .
So did Serena .
' Haaaaa ' Cried Lance , he charged wielding his sword at his brother .
He went in for one powerful strike toward his brother's heart .
The blade was inches from contact when in a split second Gilyu's arm intercepted it .
The steel struck his arm but to Lance's surprise it didn't even pierce his skin .
Gilyu looked at Lance with lightning shining out of from both eyes as the sword shattered instantly .
Lance was visibly shaken from this and began to tremble , his knees shook partially because of the wind but mostly because of his brother's might .
Gilyu was still staring at him , the anger in his eyes began to show and so did the sadness , the jealousy of his brother's talents had been the route of this issue . If he didn't regain control he could have sunk the entire ship .
' Ahhhhh ! ' Gilyu yelled as he surrounded himself in more bolts of cobalt lightning . He raised his fist and began to bring it down on his brother but in his brain he could feel something tugging and struggling .
Like the lightning he wielded a thought struck him .
' Why in the hell am I hurting my own flesh and blood ? '
He regained morality and lowered from his furious electric onslaught .
The lightning diminished and the sky lightened again .
His eyes stopped glowing blue and he stopped levitating .
He fell . To the ground and Lance was confused on what to do next .
On one hand he could help his brother recooperate or on the other he could lie to Serena and let Gilyu lie there and bleed to death .
' It was wrong of me to do that to him , but that strength of lightning was stronger than anything I have ever seen before , to be honest I think it's time I end my grudge against him and move on . ' He thought silently .
