Chapter 27: Natural disaster.
The inexperienced crew scramble to their positions.
''What the hell is that!?'' Jingfei shouts out to David as they arrive at the ship.
''How would I know?''
[It's a meteor.]
''A-A meteor!?'' David calls out in surprise.
{I knew it!}
''A meteor!? What do you mean a meteor!?'' Jingfei yells back.
[These are the consequences of your actions.]
'...!'
'But how unlucky do you have to be to have a meteor fall on your head?'
[The most.]
'...' A blank look adorns his face.
''C-Captain! You were talking about a meteor? W-What would that entail...?'' A concerned crew mate asks.
''A giant rock from space.''
''Space?''
''From the sky. A giant rock is falling down at us from the sky.''
''Holy! W-What are we to do!? God...!'' The man falls to his knees
''What we do? We get out of here! Fast!''
All of the crew mates look up to him for guidance as he says the words.
''Huh? What are you looking at me for? I don't know how to sail.''
Their faces drop as they hear the words.
''Just listen to this guy.'' David says pointing to Tommy.
''M-Me!?'' Tommy responds in surprise.
''A little boy...?''
''Yeah, you! You're the one who got me here.''
''Anyways, I have to do something, you guys figure this out.''
''W-What!?''
''Hey!'' Jingfei calls out.
'How long will it be before it lands?' He asks the voice calmly, ignoring Jingfei.
''Ignoring me again...'' Her face drops in annoyance.
[You'll have, at most, two minutes.]
'...!'
After hearing the words he runs down to Apoo's corpse and collects all the blood in his body. He then turns what's left of it into powder.
After that, he runs back out onto the deck.
''David! What the hell are you doing!'' Jingfei shouts out.
'How do I transform?'
[You cant be...]
'Just tell me how to do it!'
[...Just picture the image of your blood boiling in your mind.]
'Blood boiling?'
[Concentrate!]
'...!'
As the voice's words hit him he sits down, crosses his legs and closes his eyes.
Jingfei watches on with a question mark on her face.
'My blood boiling...'
He imagines his blood, circulating through his veins. He then circulates the heat around his body and imagines it boiling his own blood. His body heats up intensely and his skin slowly starts turning grey while expanding.
[Y-You! Hahahahaha... Once again...] The voice exclaims in amazement.
*Rip!*
His clothes rip to pieces.
The crew mates who were standing close by back away in fear as he grows. Jingfei moves back a bit, looking on in amazement.
'I-Is this the transformation?' Jingfei asks herself, her heart beating faster.
{Get away from him!} her voice shouts out.
She doesn't hear it in her excitement.
As he continues growing, two large, grey and red wings sprout out of his back like a lotus. Half of a broken, grey horn grows on the left side of his forehead.
He reaches the end of the transformation, standing up at 3 meters tall, about a meter wide, his body feeling like it's on fire.
*Pant...*
*Pant...*
As he stands up his now much more impressive member rises up to the sun proudly.
Jingfei stares at it, her cheeks growing redder, feeling both repulsed and aroused.
'Gross...?'
'...!'
He looks down in surprise.
He swiftly pulls a large bed sheet out of his inventory and ties it around his waist to cover his shame as best he can.
*Pant...*
*Pant...*
'W-What the hell? W-Why am I so turned on?'
[Is that really what you need to worry about right now?]
'R-Right!'
He flaps his wings to try and fly.
*Smack!*
His wings smack into Jingfei knocking her on her back.
''Shit! Sorry!''
As he looks at her his pupils dilate and his canines start itching.
Her face twists in fear and arousal.
*Pant!*
*Pant!*
*PANT!*
[David!]
'...!'
The voice's words bring him back to reality.
[David! You hear me!? Buy the "Aviation" skill!]
'Right!'

He takes a great leap into the sky causing the boards underneath his feet to creak.
''Wait!'' Jingfei calls out, but by the time she does, he's too far away to hear.
'No! Don't go!' She shouts out in her mind.
As he reaches the apex of his jump he flaps his wings with great force, the speed of their flaps causing the air to crack as they break the sound barrier.
[Put on your armor!]
'Huh!? It won't fit!'
[Do you think I'm stupid!?]
'...!'
He brings the armor out of his inventory and puts it on.
'So that's why it fits so perfectly...'
[When you hit it, go as fast as you can! it's too fast to try and catch! Just hit it with the old dragon's hatred as hard as you can!]
'Alright!'
[And David! I'll believe in you this time, so don't disappoint me!]
A smile appears on David's face.
'I won't!' He answers confidently.
He flies up towards the meteor, breaking the sound barrier along the way.
Seabirds in his path are turned into clouds of feathers.
As the impact approaches he pulls the old dragon's hatred out of his inventory.
'Here it comes...'
He closes his eyes and tries to remember when the old man broke the mountain in his head. As he recollects his heartbeat slows down and his body grows colder.
''I stand next to a mountain...''
He opens his eyes, a calm expression adorning his face looking at the burning mass of rock, now covering his view. He slices into the meteor like it's a massive baseball.
*BOOM!*
The two forces collide, the blade of the old dragon's hatred cracking at the impact. It slices through the rock, splitting it into thousands of pieces as it falls down.
He appears on the other side of the rock, the muscles of his arms having been completely ripped open from the force, second and third degree burns covering about 40% of his body.
*Fshhh...*
In just a couple of seconds, the damage on his arms and skin disappear, like they never happened.
''...And chop it down with the edge of my hand.''
[Hahahahahah! Once again! Once again you have exceeded my expectations! I didn't make a mistake after all! If it's you...!]
'Huh. Guess it wasn't that big a deal after all.'
''I've used up all of my blood though...' He grumbles as the pieces fall further down, eventually disappearing completely.
[You can easily get more...]
'They are good. I can't eat them.'
His eyes widen in surprise at his own reasoning. He covers his mouth with his hand.
'...Eat? What the hell am I saying?'
He shakes his head.
'No no no... I must just be getting tired...'
He flies back down to the ship.
''False alarm everybody, false alarm. No need to panic.''
''F-False alarm?'' The crowd calls out
'What does that mean?'
As he lands on the deck and looks at the people his pupils start dilating once again. drool drips down his chin. His canines ache. Once he sees the fearful expressions on the people's faces he gets out of his stupor and closes his eyes to calm himself down.
He tries to sit down and meditate but he is tackled by Jingfei and Tommy.
''David!'' Tommy yells out, tears flowing down his face.
''Don't do that! I really thought you were gonna sacrifice yourself or something!'' Jingfei scolds.
''N-Not right now!''
Drool pours out of his mouth like a waterfall as he feels the contact of their skin.
They let go off him and back off. Jingfei takes out a napkin and wipes the tears off of Tommy's face.
He sits down in silence to calm down his senses. He moves into a full lotus.
'How do I end this transformation thing?'
[Imagine your blood turning to ice.]
After a few minutes of meditation his body shrinks back to it's normal size.
*Sigh...*
He takes off all of his armor and lays down on his back, exhausted.
'Won't I ever get a break?'
''Oof!'' He let's out a weird sound as Jingfei plops down on his belly.
He looks up in surprise into her confident, seductive eyes.
''So what was that all about huh?''
''Oh, it's nothing big, just hit a meteor out of the sky.'' He answers with a cheeky smile.
She smiles back and lays her body on top of his.
She moves her lips up to his ears, causing them to tingle.
''I'm not going to hold back...''
His cheeks redden slightly.
''...I want to fuck the shit out of you right now...''
Both of their cheeks turn completely red and Jingfei moves her head back to David's face and gives him a passionate kiss.
He accepts it and they lay on the ground kissing for a few seconds.
''C-Come on guys...'' Tommy covers his eyes and looks away.
''Mmmm... Wait, wait.'' David pushes her away by the shoulder.
They stand up and walk over to the captains quarters, hugging and kissing along the way.
As they walk away the crew mates act like nothing happened and continue on with their work.
''What the hell just happened...?'' They all whisper to themselves in unison.

After they did the deed, they lay down together in the bed.
''That was nice...'' Jingfei says, satisfied.
''Yeah...'' David responds.
They lay there for a few seconds in silence, looking up at the ceiling.
''This should have been the first...'' Jingfei says, becoming a bit regretful.
''Eh... This was the first real time anyways. People always do stupid shit when they're drunk.'' David comforts.
She looks over into David's eyes, a bit of her regret disappearing as she looks deeper.
''Besides, the good times are only beginning...''
''Oh!''

As David lays in bed awake, Jingfei asleep he asks the voice a question.
'So what was that before? Why did I get so horny all of a sudden?'
[The gargoyle transformation is usually only used by vampires when mating. Usually, both of the males transform to fight over the female. The winner then fights the female and if he wins, impregnates her.]
'Fights the female too?'
[Most races are not as kind too each other as humans are, you are a bit unique in that way. Most beings reproduce mostly by rape.]
'Wow... That's kinda fucked up...'
[To you.]
[They also use the form for feeding.]
'...On humans?'
[Yes. To understand why, let me explain how a vampire is born.]
[A vampire is born from sacrifice. A human sacrifices something that a gargoyle would value and that gargoyle grants them a proportionate amount of their own power in return. If their bodies can handle it, they turn into a vampire.]
'But why does that make it so that they want to eat humans?'
[Well, the thing is, It is unknown why, but gargoyles themselves seem to have some sort of attraction towards humans, especially human females. Through gaining their power they also gain some of the personality traits of a gargoyle.]
'So the sacrifices are usually..?
[Human females. Though if you send one that's not beautiful enough you will face their wrath for wasting their time. Your body will explode instantly.]
'What!? They're that powerful!?'
[They're powers far rival most gods. But the one who is running this "game" could kill thousands without breaking a sweat.]
'...!'
He clenches his teeth in anger.
'How about a gargoyle god then. Could it kill that?'
[Gargoyles have no gods, they are primordial beings. The only one that could even be argued to be one is the true god. If it even exists.]
[So the answer to that question could be considered a no, if the true god exists.]
'What about gods then? How were they born?'
[Hmm... Normally I would be able to answer that but considering the situation I cannot.]
'Huh!? The hell is that!?'
[Just telling you that I would normally be able to answer that is already saying too much! Just be happy that i gave you some kind of hint. I could give you some other information though.]
[Gods reproduce asexually. If they want another god to be born they will have to split their own soul to create it, giving it one of their own properties.]
'Properties... What's that?'
[Well, it's a bit hard to explain...]
[Let's just call it the upgraded version of an "Affinity".]
'...Could I become a god?'
[I can't answer that.]
'How about this, could Jing become a god?'
[I can't answer that.]
A frown appears on David's face.
'Can you explain to me why you "can't answer that"?'
[What do you think?]

'Well, whatever. Thank you for answering most of my questions. It helped me understand a bit better.'

He smiles at the joke and snuggles up against Jing, preparing to sleep.

''Well, I'll guess I'll give you a break... For now.'' Jingfei says to a small group of men before throwing a wooden sword into her inventory.
'...!' They shudder in response.
''They doing well?'' David asks.
''Since you gave them those beginner skills they've been having steady growth. It's not quite what we had hoped but... It'll have to do.''
''Well, let's have some hope.''
''Captain! There seems to be some conflict going on over there! I think you should have a look.'' The same woman as before says, throwing down the telescope.
He grabs it and throws it back.
''Thanks but there's no need.''
''I'll go over there myself and have a personal "look".''
