Silly assistant?

"Aiden!" She finally called out getting impatient. 'What's wrong with him?' She thought. "Huh?" He looked at her in confusion. Genesis took a deep breath and rubbed her temple. "Will you have dinner with your aunt? She requested a formal business dinner with you." Genesis explained.

"Uh...Yeah okay." He responded still a bit lost. Genesis frowned. She walked closer to his desk and examined him with her eyes. "Are you okay?" She asked worriedly. Aiden lifted his eyebrows in surprise

He signaled her to come over with his fingers and she did as he said. She took one small step towards him and then another. She then stopped. She made sure to keep a safe distance between each other. "Come here." He ordered her. Genesis reluctantly took another step forward.' Nope, this is way too dangerous.' She thought.

Aiden chuckled. She looked like a scared little rabbit. "Don't worry I won't eat you." He spoke softly. 'Yeah...I'm sorry but you just can't be trusted.' She replied in her thoughts.

Aiden sighed and leaned forward, he caught her hand and pulled her towards him. He then set her hand on the desk with his on top. "You're wearing it." He mumbled as he looked straight into her eyes in admiration. Genesis coughed and looked away, knowing what he was referring to.

" It compliments my outfit, so don't get too excited." She replied. "Oh…..really?" He caressed her cheek and made her face him. " Wear it every day from now on, it goes with every outfit." He replied. Genesis lifted an eyebrow. " It does? I guess I will have to wear it every day from now on." Her lips curled upwards and she whispered seductively, " Thank you for the gift." She lifted her hand from his with a lovely smirk.

Aiden narrowed his eyes and watched her walking back to her desk. He leaned back in his chair with surprise and amusement.

Genesis sat down and lowered her head. She appeared indifferent to what she had just done but inside she was dying in embarrassment.

Walking right behind Aiden Genesis entered the meeting room. Inside there were the main designers, SY Industries manager who came in the stead of Ethan and the rest were part of the team that would be working with the main designers.

Aiden sat down in his chair and Genesis took her seat right next to him. Genesis looked towards one of the main designers that was sitting in front of her. She was sending her daggers and Genesis knew exactly why.

The rest of the people sitting at the table were nervous. Genesis assumed that they were thinking about being fired. Frankly, every meeting was like this since the first day she stepped foot on ILG International.

One could never predict what their president is thinking. Especially since every time there is a meeting he looks like he is about to murder someone. It's quite scary but at some point, you get used to it. There was an incident a few years ago when a manager decided to fool the CEO and tried stealing money from the company. There were many similar incidents when Aiden started the company.

After so much betrayal and complications, he turned even more intimidating than he was before. Genesis glanced at him and sighed. 'Can't blame him.' She thought knowing exactly how it feels. She too was doubted by her people. To think she had to sacrifice so many things just to become the CEO of a company and then find out that no one believes you're capable enough. They aren't much different, they had similar experiences and had gone through a lot.

" In today's meeting, we will be making a few changes to the project we are working on. I understand that this project only started recently and you have all worked hard but, to create the kind of product that will be loved by our customers we should first make sure that it's good enough for that. " Aiden started. " The presentation will be done by Assistant Gen. She has a few ideas to share with you." He continued.

" what?" One of the managers called out. "Is something wrong Miss kelly?" Aiden questioned. She was none other than the woman who was glaring at Genesis before. " Sir, why are we making changes so abruptly? We have worked hard to get this far, it's not fair that we have to start over just because a silly assistant decided to meddle in." She had composed herself and spoked quite professionally.

Genesis lifted an eyebrow at her reasoning. 'Silly assistant?' She laughed inside. She gave Miss Kelly a sweet smile. " You have all reached the peak of your careers. All I'm asking is to let me voice out my ideas, at some point you all started this way right? Nothing will change if you don't agree with it. After we come up with a mutual agreement we can start working together." Genesis told them and stood up from her chair.

She walked in front of the table and connected her computer to the screen. Miss Kelly looked around the room to see where her fellow teammates were at. They all were nodding and willing to hear a new idea. She gritted her teeth. " Mmm I guess you are right Assistant Gen. It's just that I'm thinking for the company. We all know that you aren't…" She took a moment to 'think' of an appropriate word.

"Capable enough to-" These words set a fire within Genesis. 'Capable enough?' These words are very much hated by her. How many times has she been told this? Did they live her life? Did they witness her hard work? Are they even aware of all the subjects she had to master?

She had to learn everything. She was trained to do and learn everything. Capable enough?

As if!

"No, I don't specify in designing but I'm good at making your designs sell. If I remember correctly for the last two years your designs have sold twice as much as they ever had. I'm just trying to triple that amount." Genesis interrupted her with a fake smile. She didn't want to let such a low woman ruin her day and lower her self-esteem.

Miss Kelly stopped talking immediately. The rest of the people sitting down coughed slightly and pretended not to understand what Genesis was inferring.

She isn't wrong. It wouldn't be a surprise if another of Genesis' ideas help their products sell. This has happened before. Aiden let a smile appear on his face but it disappeared quickly and he returned to his usual aloof image.

It's very difficult not to praise his woman in front of everyone and show her off. Sigh...If only he could make their engagement public. This way he wouldn't have to deal with his male employees lusting over her. He has noticed them many times and right now one of those male employees is sitting in the same table as him. He suppressed his anger and jealousy with great difficulty. He cleared his throat and spoke.

" Assistant Gen I believe everyone is now willing to hear your ideas you may start your presentation," Aiden told her and Genesis responded with a nod.
