Shouko took a long breath. With their hands linked together, she kept her gaze straight in front of her.

Grandpa was the one who broke the silence. He looked at his grandson and granddaughter-in-law. With a smile on his wrinkly face, he threw out a question, "Are you guys serious?"

"Yes," Kyoya nodded firmly, followed by Shouko.

Grandpa glanced at Aunt Masako and Ono. Seeing that their expressions too had recovered from the brief shock, he said, "Do it, then."

This time, it was Shouko's turn to be surprised while Kyoya remained unperturbed. It was as if he had expected it.

Grandpa laughed as he understood why did his dearest granddaughter-in-law appear so shocked. 

"Shouko, why do you look like that? Did you expect Grandpa to object it?" Grandpa teased. His white eyebrows relaxed.
