Chapter 134: She Was Cradling Him As If He Was A Broken Child

What Shouko saw when she arose from her slumber was Kyoya's frightful expression looking back at her. Her dazed mind instantly cleared up when she noticed something was wrong.

Shouko quickly sat up. In a cautious voice, she asked, "Kyoya? Do you still have a hangover?"

The dawn had just broke, slowly adding amber and scarlet shades on the sky. Inside the dimly lit bedroom, Shouko saw the moonlight backlighting the man's figure, making it hard for her to properly saw his expression yet the fear in his dark eyes was hard to be missed.

Recalling how pitifully he was begging her last night in his drunken state made her heart ached all over again.

"Honey?" In a softer voice, she called out to him again. Shouko gently placed one of her palms over his arm, feeling him flinched under her touch before he suddenly grasped her hand. Startled, she gasped, "Kyoya?"
