Chapter 5: Sleepless nights

Aadya has been living alone for the last 9 years. No one in this world knows where her parents and other relatives are except Uncle Charles. Even her neighbours and close friends don't know what mysteries this girl has within her. They only know that she is bold and carries the courage to do everything alone. She had dropped her studies long back when she was 15 . When all her friends were celebrating their success in matric exam in a hotel, she was washing heavy utensils in the same hotel. The only relief was that she didn't have a family to look after, she only had to make for herself . But I guess that isn't a relief for her,instead she would die to have a family. she literally was running from one job to the other to make the ends meet .that's when she met Mr.cather who was running a small catering business. Meeting him in her life was really a great relief for her. Mr.cather was a regular costumer at the cafe Aadya was working in. But then he saw her everywhere he would go. movie theatres, convenience store, restaurants ,cafes ...like literally EVERY WHERE!.. Cather was in a shock how a 15 year little girl like her work so much!! He decided to ask her about her difficulties one day when she was working in the convenience store. He put the things he wanted to buy on the desk and when she was scanning them he asked "why do you work so much? Are your parents ill?" Aadya raised her head and looked at him with a doubt .Her expressions were screaming a question " can I trust him?".Seeing that Cather quickly responded " I am not a bad guy..I was just curious ..it's ok if you don't want to say.." and then tittered a little . Aadya looked down and picked an item and holding the scanning machine said in a low and despondent voice said " I don't have parents or any relatives" . Cather was shocked and then he apologized quickly and then asked " Then why do you work so much if you only have to fill your stomach" Aadya took a brief paused and then looking straight into cather's eyes she said " I have a person I want to defeat,and for that I want to make more and more money" Her eyes were Fierce and had a strong sense of resentment . Cather didn't ask her any thing after that .He was shocked by seeing how much hate this 15 year old has in her eyes. After collecting his products he stopped and asked her " Do you want to work for me? I run a catering business". Aadya looked at him again with a doubt. Then Cather smiled and said " it seems like you don't trust anyone easily . but if you work for me I will pay you well . these part time jobs doesn't pay you much I guess ". He placed his card on the table and then said " come to my shop tomorrow at 10 am . you can bring a friend if you are scared . Think about it ...it could change your future." ...and then he left.
