Chapter 94: Yanyan's treasures

Chen Rui went to Yanyan's room to check if she was asleep but when she peeked, the bed lamp was on and she saw the child sitting in the middle of her bed, looking at something on her hand.

Why was she awake? She was supposed to be asleep already. It really was a good thing that she decided to check on her. Chen Rui thought. 

She cleared her throat, "Yanyan."

The girl snapped her head towards her mother, startled. Her face became stiff when she saw her. She stuttered, "M-mommy."

She quickly placed whatever she was holding back to a small box before hiding it under her blanket.

Of course, that didn't escape Chen Rui's eyes.

"Why are you still awake?" Chen Rui asked as she entered her room. "You still have classes tomorrow, right? You are supposed to be sleeping now."

Yanyan pursed her lips and lay down, hugging her favorite doll. "Yanyan will go to sleep now, Mommy."
