Chapter 54: How much do you love me?
"I know. I won't get myself in trouble."
She knew what Cai Sijian was worried about, it was the fact that her act as Ye Shuxin might be seen through by others.
"Be careful, Chen Rui. If you got caught, I don't think I will be able to help you again."
"I know."
She ended the call after.
She looked up at the ceiling as if recalling everything that happened.
Because of Ye Fanfan and Cai Sijian's help, she was able to fake her identity and forget who she really was for the time being.
She didn't have a choice but to do it. After her father married that woman, everything changed. She has to do something about her family's situation.

Jin Mingze arrived at his place and the first person who greeted him was his daughter who was later followed by Chen Rui.
"Daddy!" Yanyan hugged her father happily, "Are we going now?"
Chen Rui looked at him with a small smile, thinking of the things they did up to now. "Welcome home."
When Jin Mingze heard her words, he was dumbfounded, most likely because it was the first time she said something like that, even back then.
He felt a tingling warmth growing in his chest.
Even if he believed that she still didn't have her memories back, that 'welcome home' was filed with unexplainable emotions.
"Let's go! Let's go!" Yanyan excitedly said, jumping happily.
Her mother patted her head lightly before she turned her head to her husband. "Can we talk before we go?"
Yanyan pouted, "Mommy can talk with daddy later. Let's go to the zoo first!"
Chen Rui ended up chuckling. She let out a helpless smile, "Alright, I'll borrow your daddy later."
She has already made up her mind about it. She was sure that if there was a person who wouldn't betray her, it was definitely going to be Jin Mingze.
Yes, she may have hated him at first. She might have seen him as her enemy but that changed when they got married.
She went and held Jin Mingze's hand, "Let's go?"
Jin Mingze noticed something different in her, as if this time, he could clearly see Chen Rui in her.
He smiled and kissed her temple, "Mm."
The trio left and entered the car.
Jin Mingze was driving while Chen Rui was sitting on the passenger seat.
"What do you want to talk about?" Jin Mingze asked.
"I'll tell you later."
"Why not now?"
She looked at him and raised a brow, "Do you want me to spoil the mood?"
For some reason, her words bothered him. He decided not to continue asking her since right now, he wanted to focus on their family bonding.
Chen Rui knew that, that's why she decided to change the topic. "How was your meeting?"
"The same as usual." He said while looking ahead.
"I see."
And once again, they became quiet. It was as if she reverted to her quiet self.
Chen Rui, what are you doing?
The silence around them was deafening. Only Yanyan's game music on her tablet was heard.
She pursed her lips tightly. Not liking the situation.
"Say... Jin Mingze, how much do you love Chen Rui?" She suddenly asked out of nowhere which startled her husband.
"Huh?"
"I was just wondering." She reasoned out.
Even back then, Jin Mingze wasn't open to her. He was not the type to share his thoughts with others. She found it annoying back then. Even after marrying him, despite being good and caring for her, she saw it just like that. They never spoke that much with each other.
Their marriage life was a failure.
Yeah, he loved her but he never truly showed that since he was busy all the time. There were short moments where she enjoyed his company but after those moments, they were busy with their own problems again.
He ended up smiling, "Before you ask me that, how about you find the unit to measure love?"
She huffed, "Come on now."
"Immeasurable. More than you think." He said with a gentle smile.
When she heard his answer and saw his smile, her heart was pounding like crazy.
"Have you fallen in love with me?" This time, it was his turn to ask.
"Maybe?"
A soft chuckle was heard from him, "What kind of answer is that?"
She shrugged, "An answer that's in between."
"Then let me ask you, how much do you love me?"
The smile on Chen Rui's lips became stiff. What kind of answer should she give him?
"It's your turn to answer that question. How much do you love me, sweetheart?"
She felt her cheek heat up. Jin Mingze never called her that way before. It sounded nice...
She turned to him and grinned with a light blush painted on her cheeks.
"As much as the balance in your account!"
